Central Bank Digital Currencies Are About Control They Should Be Stopped "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

I participated in an online forum called US CBDCA Disaster in the making? We had a very productive discussion about the policy aspect of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs). I believe that the Fed should not launch a CBDC. Ever. And I think that Congress should amend the Federal Reserve Act, just to be on the safe side. I want to distinguish between a wholesale CBDC and retail CBDC. With a wholesale CBDC, banks can electronically transact with each other using a liability of the central bank. That is essentially what banks do now. But retail CBDCs are another animal altogether. Retail CBDCs allow members of the general public to make electronic payments of all kinds with a liability of the central bank. This featuremaking electronic transactions using a liability of the Federal Reserveis central to why Congress should make sure that the Fed never issues a retail CBDC. The problem is that the federal government, not privately owned commercial banks, would be responsible for issuing deposits. And while this fact might seem like a feature instead of bug, it's a major problem for anything that resembles a free society. The problem is that there is no limit to the level of control that the government could exert over people if money is purely electronic and provided directly by the government. A CBDC would give federal officials full control over the money going intoand coming out ofevery person's account. This level of government control is not compatible with economic or political freedom.

119K people hurt by riot-control weapons since 2015 "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

More than 119,000 people have been injured by tear gas and other chemical irritants around the world since 2015 and some 2,000 suffered injuries from "less lethal" impact projectiles, according to a report released Wednesday. Physicians for Human Rights and the International Network of Civil Liberties Organizations, which produced the report, called it "the most comprehensive study on crowd-control weapons to date." The report on casualties from a largely unregulated industry cites an alarming evolution of crowd-control devices into more powerful and indiscriminate designs and deployment, including dropping tear gas from drones. Some of the injuries were fatal but it was impossible from the data to estimate the total number of deaths, said the report's lead author, Rohini Haar. The vast majority of the data comes from cases in which a person came to an emergency room with injuries from crowd-control weapons and the attending doctor or hospital staff made the effort to document it, Haar said. Protesters have been blinded and suffered brain damage from beanbag rounds. In November, the city of Portland reached a $250,000 settlement with five demonstrators in a federal lawsuit over police use of tear gas and other crowd-control devices during racial justice protests. But last month, a federal judge threw out an excessive force claim against an unnamed federal agent who fired an impact munition at the forehead of protester Donavan La Bella, fracturing his skull.

The FBI Just Admitted It Bought US Location Data "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

The United States Federal Bureau of Investigation has acknowledged for the first time that it purchased US location data rather than obtaining a warrant. The disclosure came today during a US Senate hearing. Senator Ron Wyden ... put the question of the bureau's use of commercial data to its director, Christopher Wray: "Does the FBI purchase US phone-geolocation information?" Wray said his agency was not currently doing so. "To my knowledge, we do not currently purchase commercial database information that includes location data derived from internet advertising," Wray said. "I understand that we previouslyas in the pastpurchased some such information for a specific national security pilot project. But that's not been active for some time." In its landmark Carpenter v. United States decision, the Supreme Court held that government agencies accessing historical location data without a warrant were violating the Fourth Amendment's guarantee against unreasonable searches. The decision left open a glaring loophole that allows the government to simply purchase whatever it cannot otherwise legally obtain. US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the Defense Intelligence Agency are among the list of federal agencies known to have taken advantage of this loophole. The Department of Homeland Security ... purchased the geolocations of millions of Americans from private marketing firms. The data were derived from ... benign sources, such as mobile games and weather apps.

Mapping Project Reveals Locations of U.S. Border Surveillance Towers "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

The precise locations of the U.S. government's high-tech surveillance towers along the U.S-Mexico border are being made public for the first time as part of a mapping project by the Electronic Frontier Foundation. While the Department of Homeland Security's investment of more than a billion dollars into a so-called virtual wall between the U.S. and Mexico is a matter of public record, the government does not disclose where these towers are located, despite privacy concerns of residents of both countries and the fact that individual towers are plainly visible to observers. The surveillance tower map is the result of a year's work steered by EFF Director of Investigations Dave Maass. As border surveillance towers have multiplied across the southern border, so too have they become increasingly sophisticated, packing a panoply of powerful cameras, microphones, lasers, radar antennae, and other sensors. Companies like Anduril and Google have reaped major government paydays by promising to automate the border-watching process with migrant-detecting artificial intelligence. Opponents of these modern towers, bristling with always-watching sensors, argue the increasing computerization of border security will lead inevitably to the dehumanization of an already thoroughly dehumanizing undertaking. Nobody can say for certain how many people have died attempting to cross the U.S.-Mexico border in the recent age of militarization and surveillance. Researchers estimate that the minimum is at least 10,000 dead.

Note: As the article states, the Department of Homeland Security was "the largest reorganization of the federal government since the creation of the CIA and the Defense Department," and has resulted in U.S. taxpayers funding corrupt agendas that have led to massive human rights abuses. Investment fund links to Atlanta police and 'Cop City' project revealed "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

A new investigation has uncovered connections between private equity firms and the contentious development of a sprawling police and fire service training complex in Atlanta known as "Cop City" and the police force which fatally shot an environmental activist. Private equity refers to an opaque form of financing away from public markets in which funds and investors manage money for wealthy individuals and institutional investors. Research shared exclusively with the Guardian details links between Roark Capital, an Atlanta-based private equity firm ... and a corporate backer of the Atlanta police foundation (APF). APF ... is raising $60m from corporate funders to build Cop City in the Atlanta forest previously earmarked for a public park. The APF has helped Atlanta become the most surveilled city in the US in large part thanks to a program called Operation Shield. Operation Shield currently boasts more than 12,800 private and public interconnected cameras monitored by the police. The private equity industry manages about $11tn globally. Yet unlike banks and other publicly listed companies, private equity firms are exempt from most financial disclosure rules, making it extremely difficult to track their assets or risks. It means people such as firefighters, nurses and teachers whose pensions are invested in private equity funds have little way of knowing if their retirement nest egg is financing police surveillance equipment, defence contractors, hospitals or coal plants.

'Here it is better not to be born': Cobalt mining for Big Tech is driving child labor, deaths in the Congo "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

During one of his many visits to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Siddharth Kara ... met a young woman sifting dirt for traces of cobalt. Priscille told him she had suffered two miscarriages and that her husband, a fellow "artisanal" miner, died of a respiratory disease. It is just one of many devastating personal accounts in Cobalt Red, a detailed expos into the hidden world of small-scale cobalt mining in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The "quaint" moniker of artisanal mining, Mr. Kara points out, belies a brutal industry where hundreds of thousands of men, women and children dig with bare hands and basic tools in toxic, perilous pits, eking out an existence on the bottom rung of the global supply chain. The miners are the first step in the race for precious metals and minerals by some of the world's most powerful companies. If you own a smartphone, tablet, laptop, e-scooter, [or] electric vehicle ... then it is a system in which you are unwittingly complicit. Around 75 per cent of the world's cobalt is mined in the DRC. The rare, silvery metal is an essential component to every lithium-ion rechargeable battery. Congolese miners ... have experienced life-changing injuries, sexual assault, physical violence, corruption, displacement and abject poverty. Major tech and EV companies extol commitments to human rights, zero-tolerance for child labor, and clean supply chains. Mr. Kara described these statements as "utterly inconsistent" with what's happening on the ground.

W.H.O. Do You Trust? "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Trust in public health has been shatteredhalf of America has lost faith in the scientific community altogether. Our current government is doubling down on World Health Organization (WHO) decrees that directly circumvent public oversight. The WHO has drafted a new global Pandemic Accord. The U.S. ambassador to the WHO, Pamela Hamamoto, on February 27 imprudently promised "The United States is committed to the Pandemic Accord." This comes immediately after the exposure of yet another disgrace undermining trust in public health institutions. It turned out the February 2020 Lancet article calling the lab origin of the SARS-CoV-2 virus a "conspiracy theory" was itself the true conspiracy, contrived behind closed doors contemporaneously with a March 2020 publication in Nature. If that coordinated media campaign was designed to conceal malfeasance by Drs. Francis Collins and Anthony Fauciwho, as leaders of America's National Institutes of Health, reportedly sent American tax dollars to fund China's dangerous gain-of-function research and circumvent Obama administration-introduced restrictionswe may be witnessing the deadliest cover-up scandal in history. News media are also beginning to acknowledge facts that refute the original reasons behind lockdowns. Despite protestations to the contrary, all signers of the Pandemic Accord clearly relinquish critical autonomy to the WHO. Most ominous is that WHO defines "public health emergency" on its own terms.

America's COVID Response Was Based on Lies "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Almost all of America's leaders have gradually pulled back their COVID mandates, requirements, and closureseven in states like California, which had imposed the most stringent and longest-lasting restrictions on the public. At the same time, the media has been gradually acknowledging the ongoing release of studies that totally refute the purported reasons behind those restrictions. This overt reversal is falsely portrayed as "learned" or "new evidence." Little acknowledgment of error is to be found. We have seen no public apology for promulgating false information, or for the vilification and delegitimization of policy experts and medical scientists like myself who spoke out correctly about data, standard knowledge about viral infections and pandemics, and fundamental biology. History's biggest public health policy failure came at the hands of those who recommended the lockdowns and those who implemented them, not those who advised otherwise. Lies were told. Those lies harmed the public. Those lies were directly contrary to the evidence, to decades of knowledge on viral pandemics, and to long-established fundamental biology. To ensure that this never happens again, government leaders, power-driven officials, and influential academics and advisors often harboring conflicts of interest must be held accountable. Investigations must proceed. Remember G.K. Chesterton's critical lesson that "Right is right, even if nobody does it. Wrong is wrong, even if everybody is wrong about it."

PETA Urges Pentagon to Stop 'Cruel' Pulsed Radiation Experiments on Animals "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals on Monday implored the U.S. military to reinstate a ban on the intentional wounding of animals in experiments and to stop radiation testing in an attempt to determine the cause of the mystery ailment popularly known as "Havana syndrome" that has afflicted U.S. government officials posted at diplomatic facilities in Washington, D.C. and several foreign countries. PETA argues that the military's decision to use live animals in testing related to Havana syndrome is "counterproductive" due to biological differences between humans and species subjected to the experiments, as well as the widespread availability of non-wounding research methods and the likelihood that radio frequency waves did not cause the mysterious ailment. The U.S. government has a long history of radiation experiments not only on animals but also on human beings. Scores of institutions, including some of North America's most prominent universities, laboratories, and hospitals hosted government and military experimentation on both volunteers and unwitting test subjects in the MK-ULTRA mind control experiments and other highly unethical and sometimes deadly programs. People suffering from Havana syndromeso named because it was first identified by U.S. and Canadian diplomats and embassy staff in the Cuban capitalexperienced what The Lancet described as "an abrupt onset of unusual clinical symptoms."

My Ugly Bathroom "IndyWatch Feed Literature"

Photograph by Sarah Miller.

My bathroom is ugly. My bathroom is so ugly that when I tell people my bathroom is ugly and they say it cant be that ugly I always like to show it to them. Then they come into my bathroom and they are like, Holy shit. This bathroom is so ugly. And I say, I know, I told you.

Let me list the elements of my ugly bathroom: the sink has plastic handles and its impossible to clean behind the faucet. Or, you can clean behind it but its difficult, so its always grimy. The sink itself, the basin, is made of some sort of plastic material that probably used to be white and is now off-white.

The water pressure in the sink is almost nonexistent. Im not sure if this has anything to do with the sink itself but when your bathroom looks like this you dont think, Oh wow, I really want to improve the water pressure, because bad water pressure goes with the decor.

The textured ceiling looks like a birthday cake that was frosted with canned white frosting by a person who hates whoevers birthday it is.

The shower is maybe the worst part of the bathroom. When people come to visit us we have to tell them that the shower is disgusting and even then they cannot manage to remember not to look crestfallen when they see it. It too has fairly poor water pressure and is really tiny and the inside of it is cracked and the shelves in it are too small to fit bottles of shampoo and they are always falling down when you are taking a shower and if you have your eyes closed you think you are being attacked.

The floor is linoleum and cracked all around the edges.

I have left out the most important detail which is that this bathroom has redwood paneling that goes up to about four feet and then the rest of the bathroom is painted the same color as the ceiling. One tiny window looks out onto nothing. The curtain on it is the same curtain...

Two 81-Year-Old Women Set Out on Epic Trip to See the World in 80 Days

Ever since the publication of Jules Verne's Around the World in Eighty Days in 1872, the book has lit up the imaginations of travelers for centuries. But to make it even more adventurousand on-brandwhat if those who took up the challenge of circumnavigating the globe in 80 days were actually in their 80s? Meet Sandy Hazelip and Ellie Hamby, two octogenarians inspired by this timeless novel who decided to set foot on all seven continents in a little under three months.

Though this quest is undoubtedly epic, this isn't Hazelip and Hamby's first adventure together. The two women actually met as they were traveling through Zambia over 20 years ago, bonding over their love for adventure and forming a lifelong friendship. I said Ellie, don't you think it would be fun for us to go around the world in 80 days at age 80?' Hazelip recalled in an interview with CBS Mornings.

In honor of their 80th birthdays, they wanted to launch their trip two years ago; but, due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, they decided to delay their trip. On January 11, 2023, they left their home in Dallas, Texas, and traveled to their first destinationAntarticawhich they reached by crossing the Drake Passage on a boat.

We don't travel first class, Hazelip says matter-of-factly. And so when we have other ladies, especially who say, Oh, I would love to travel with you two,' the first thing I always do is look at their hands. If they are well-manicured, they do not want to travel with us.

After Antarctica, their travels took them to the remote Easter Island. After having to cancel a portion of their trip due to the political turmoil in Peru, they chose to give Argentina a shot, enjoying a tango show during their time there. Their route then took them halfway across the world, and after a museum-filled layover in Madrid, they arrived in Lapland, Finland, where they visited the Arctic Circle and marveled at the Aurora Borealis. We saw the Northern Lights in all their beautiful display, even with a full moon lessening some of the Aurora brightness. Again, we stood outside in the snow at -4 degrees Fahrenheit temps, but it was worth it all, they wrote in their...

How ZeroSync Hopes To Reduce The Costs Of Validating Bitcoin Nodes "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Using zero-knowledge proofs, ZeroSync seeks to radically reduce the computational costs of bootstrapping a fully-validating Bitcoin client.

This is an opinion editorial by Shinobi, a self-taught educator in the Bitcoin space and tech-oriented Bitcoin podcast host.

Zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) are something that have been discussed in this space for over a decade. Even Satoshi Nakamoto themselves was aware of them as a primitive that could be used, and the idea of applying them to Bitcoin was discussed as early as 2010 when they were still active.

In my mind, they have always been one of the potential "long-term" features of Bitcoin that never really had a solid, concrete implementation but could wind up panning out and creating an enormous amount of value and utility for the work put into implementing them. Who wouldn't think that cryptographically proving that some statement is true, or that you possess some information without revealing it, is very valuable? Especially when you can do so for very complicated things with relatively small proofs?

Complicated and large smart contracts/scripts to lock bitcoin with in the end necessitate putting proportionally-large pieces of witness data on the blockchain in order to spend those coins. That can either be literally large amounts of data, or it can also be data that is expensive to compute and verify. This is a conventionally-held tradeoff of blockchains: The more complicated the condition you want to require to spend coins, the more expensive to verify or more data is required to spend them.

ZKPs have always been held up as a way to change that, allowing highly-complicated script conditions to be proven with a small or constant amount of data that, when verified, shows definitively that those conditions were met. This is because of the fundamental asymmetry between proving and verifying using ZKPs.

To give a concrete example that is as simple as possible, ring signatures are a very basic form of ZKP. The idea is to provide a signature provably made by one key within a large group of keys without revealing exactly which one. By properly defining a signature algorithm, a single signature can be produced that can be verified against the entire set of public keys and shown to have been produced by one of them but obscuring which one.

That, at a very high level, is how ZKPs work. You construct a protocol to prove something, that includes a way for the person asserting a fact to provide a proof and the person to which they are asserting it to verify it. In the case of ring signatures, it is a signature algorithm that validates against a set of public keys without specifying which one. That is the key point: You prove something without actually revealing the information that would conventionally prove it (in this case, a signature from...

Two Flight Attendants Let Their Love Story Soar and Got Married in Front of a Plane

Wedding in Front of Plane

A couples wedding venue can help tell the story of their love. For Audrey and Alex Chowbay, their wedding at the Lone Star Flight Museum in Houston, Texas, was a fitting choice. They fell in love during their in-flight training as flight attendants. In gorgeous photos captured by Kelsey Nicole Photography, the couple said their vows just under the cockpit of a plane, making the ceremony as meaningful as it was unique.

The couple met in 2018 at the flight attendant training with over 300 people in attendance. Despite the large crowd, they found each other. Audrey introduced herself to Alex, and the two quickly became friends before realizing there was something more between them.

The training lasted three weeks, and Audrey and Alex spent nearly the whole time together. They were smitten, but at the end of the training found that they were stationed in different cities. Alex and Audrey made the distance workAlex visited oftenand they were eventually placed in Houston together.

Alex had the ring to propose to Audrey for a year and a half, originally planning to pop the question with their families present. Unfortunately, the pandemic nixed that idea, so she waited until Christmas Eve in 2020 to propose in front of her family with Audreys family on FaceTime. The ring was disguised as a gift.

With their wedding slated for September 3, 2022, the women had started to look for venues in the Houston area. They wanted something that felt different from other weddings they had been to. When they finally decided to focus on a shared love of flying, Alex and Audrey landed at the perfect place.

We're both obviously in aviation, but both of our families are also in aviation. We both just grew up with airplanes around us, Alex said. So I was like, How cool would it be if we found a way to pull this off?'

The couple worked with TailoredxTwo Wedding Planning, and the venue provided a conceptual jumping-off point for the rest of the nuptials. This included plane-shaped place cards and a welcome sign reminiscent of a passpo...

Along with the ability to earn bitcoin, users will now be able to easily and instantly transfer their bitcoin across jurisdictions.

Users in the U.S., UK and EU can now instantly send money using the ZEBEDEE platform to the Philippines and Brazil, thanks to leading partnerships with Pouch.ph, and Bipa respectively. Based on the open Lightning Network, ZEBEDEE users can send and receive funds from any Lightning wallet or service. With this new announcement, ZEBEDEE accounts will be able to connect directly to the platforms of the announced partners, similarly to open-banking standards where users connect a bank account once and can seamlessly move money to and from the account.

For example, a user in Brazil can earn Bitcoin playing a game like Solitaire, then instantly transfer that money to Bipa and exchange it for Brazilian reais, the press release sent to Bitcoin Magazine describes, showcasing the effective interoperability that Bitcoin provides.

Andr Neves, CTO and Co-Founder of ZEBEDEE, described how this is a necessary step for the growth of the company, as well as Bitcoin, saying In order for Bitcoin to take its place as the native money of the Internet, which really means the main form of money for the modern age, we have to make it so intuitive and simple to use for the average person that it ceases to be about Bitcoin, its just global money. Our new feature provides a major step in that direction, as it gives our users the ability to select high-quality global providers with the push of a button and start sending instant transactions across the world in seconds.

"We are thrilled to be a launch partner of ZEBEDEE for this new feature for borderless transactions, as it aligns perfectly with our vision for financial inclusion of the Philippines, Ethan Rose, CEO of Pouch.ph said. The Lightning Network is without a doubt the best tool for the job and, together with ZEBEDEE, we can continue pushing this technology forward to let our customers move funds between their bank accounts and any Lightning wallet in the world more seamlessly than ever.

Luiz Parreira, CEO and Co-Founder of Bipa, reiterated these points, stating that The remarkably simple new user experience created by ZEBEDEE is a powerful move towards broadening our reach to more users in Brazil.

The new features bring ZEBEDEE beyond the realm of simply earning bitcoin, and are a reminder of the incredible innovation still yet to come on top of Bitcoin.

A Monumental Inflatable Installation by Pneuhaus Celebrates Interconnectivity in Vibrant Color "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

All images Pneuhaus, shared with permission

A spectrum of glowing light pulses through 23 inflated columns that ascend from the ground in Pneuhauss (previously) new public installation, illuminating an invisible world just beneath our feet. For Grove, the Rhode Island-based design collective drew inspiration from an ancient biological structure known as the mycorrhizal network. Often referred to as the wood wide web, the underground system is characterized by a complex symbiotic relationship between certain types of fungi and the roots of trees, enabling them to communicate with one another and share nutrients.

Groves inflatable, branching arches invite visitors to gather and wander through a colorful, forest-like installation, drawing parallels between the web and the support networks communities rely on to nurture unity and growth. Nature builds in relationships, Pneuhaus says, (and) for Grove, we followed that lesson to create a transportive space designed to excite and support community gathering.

To construct the complex, organic shape, Pneuhaus utilized a unique algorithm inspired by the way slime molds move around in search of food. Integrating this kind of living logic enabled us to design a form that expresses a truly root-like connectivity, they say.

Grove was designed for BLINK Cincinnati to mark the festivals return followi...

How Build On Bitcoin Space Is Bringing Education And Mining To Thailand "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

The founder of Bangkoks Build On Bitcoin Space discusses Southeast Asias Bitcoin-only community and renewable mining in Thailand.

In this conversation, Piccolo from the Build On Bitcoin Space in Bangkok, Thailand joined me to chat about Bitcoin adoption in Southeast Asia, where the culture and language differ greatly from those of the many westerners likely reading this article. However, Thais get Bitcoin and there is a growing Bitcoin-only community there that might surprise you.

Beyond that, we dove into how Piccolo runs a weekly Bitcoin meetup and monthly workshops in Bangkok and his background in the tech startup industry in Asia. We also talked about Bitcoin mining in Thailand using plant waste.

Thanks for joining me! Before we get into questions about the Build On Bitcoin Space and Bitcoin in Thailand, can we hear a bit about your background?

I was born in Thailand but I spent most of my life in Southern California. My career started with a job in industrial manufacturing after completing my undergraduate degree in biochemistry from UCLA. I didnt want to go to medical school, after hearing from my friends that their lives were rather miserable. So I ended up selling electronic connectors for wire poles in Vietnam.

Out of pure chance, I took the GMAT, because I was told that getting an MBA was good for career changes. Good for people who want to be in business but dont quite know what profession was right for them. The fiat world is all about testing, and I got a good enough score so I ended up at Northwesterns Kellogg MBA program. My internship at Morgan Stanley during my MBA kickstarted my finance and fintech career. I got a full-time offer and joined Morgan Stanley in New York doing investment banking and corporate finance, involving mostly mergers, acquisitions, capital restructurings, IPOs, etc. After three years with Morgan Stanley, I got laid off along with 75% of my associate class due to the dot-com bubble and the first real estate bubble.

I was in Hong Kong at the time, and decided to start a boutique advisory firm with some ex-colleagues and friends, doing investment banking work and undercutting the bigger firms by localizing our services in Southeast Asia. After almost a decade and a half of doing that, I retired but I was unable to sleep. There was a whisper in my head that I needed to do this fintech thing. I wanted to cut out the middleman and build a platform that matches business owners and borrowers with individual inves...

Understanding Espresso: A Six-Part Series Explaining What It Takes to Pull the Ideal Shot "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

It doesnt take long to learn how to pull a shot of espresso. Search for that phrase on Youtube, and youll find hours worth of sound instruction, most of it in the form of brief and easily digestible videos. All of them cover the same basic stages of the process: grinding, dosing, tamping, and brewing. When examined closely, each of those stages reveals a formidable body of knowledge to master. If any one Youtuber can lay claim to having mastered all of them, it must be James Hoffmann, previously featured here on Open Culture for his videos on subjects from deep-fried coffee to the classic Bialetti Moka Express. In the six-part series above, he offers viewers an overview of all they need to know to achieve a true understanding of espresso.

Episode by episode, Hoffmann explains how to choose the right dose of coffee, ratio between the amount of ground and liquid coffee, brew time, grind size, brew temperature, and pressure. Of course, there is no single universally correct setting or amount of any of these things: each is a variable with its own range of effects on the shot of espresso ultimately yielded.

Listen to The Epic of Gilgamesh Being Read in its Original Ancient Language, Akkadian "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Creative Commons image by Osama Shukir Muhammed Amin

Long ago, in the ancient civilization of Mesopotamia, Akkadian was the dominant language. And, for centuries, it remained the lingua franca in the Ancient Near East. But then it was gradually squeezed out by Aramaic, and it faded into oblivion once Alexander the Great Hellenized (Greekified) the region.

Now, 2,000+ years later, Akkadian is making a small comeback. At Cambridge University, Dr. Martin Worthington, an expert in Babylonian and Assyrian grammar, has started recording readings of poems, myths and other texts in Akkadian, including The Epic of Gilgamesh. This clip gives you a taste of what Gilgamesh, one of the earliest known works of literature, sounds like in its mother tongue. Or, you can jump into the full collection of readings right here, courtesy of the University of London.

Man Asks if Hes Wrong for What He Said About His Fathers Mistress "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Well, I guess I can understand why a comment like this would upset someone, couldnt you?

But before we jump to conclusions and condemn this man, lets get all the details, shall we?

Read on to see what happened in this story from Reddits Am I the A**hole? page.

AITA for calling my moms treatment of my dads mistress gracious and upsetting my fiancee?

A few years ago my dad had a pretty public affair (they thought they were being discreet but everyone knew) with a woman about 15 years younger than him. My father was up until this point a very stoic unemotional person and this was totally out of character, and everyone was talking about it. He ended up leaving my mom for her.

My mom was totally ice cold during all of this and even as her son I cant gauge if it hurt her or not. She had zero reaction. Shes never said anything bad about him. Even when I tried getting her to open up she just wouldnt (but this is around the time I began dating my fiance and she doesnt like her and began to ice me out as well)

My dad married his affair partner recently, and I proposed to my fiancee. We had an engagement party and it was probably the first time we were all together. MIL and her friends h**e my dad and his fiancee, because I think they worry about their husbands getting ideas.

MIL made a snarky comment about how when men leave for a younger woman isnt she supposed to be prettier, and my dad might have done it wrong because my mom is much more attractive. All of her friends laughed and my dads wife looked like she was d**ng inside.

My mom told my MIL to stop and she doesnt like women who pit women against each other, and said his wife is beautiful. When we walked away, I told my mom th...

SPECIAL EDITION: Melissa Tittl, Code-12, The Way out of the Matrix "IndyWatch Feed Uncanny"

Da Vinci code meets Indiana Jones in the setting of Inception. As the world nears a precipice of suffering, technology has become the answer to our problems. It seems that even with the greatest discoveries we still haven't figured out how to fix some of the main problems that plague humanity. Some people refer to this ceiling as the matrix, an invisible hand that puppets our every move on this planet. Melissa Tittl, investigative journalist and filmmaker, never really thought anything of this concept until a personal experience that haunted her. It became a journey to unravel an ancient code in the tombs of the pharaohs, the temple walls and ancient sites all over the world. She uncovers not only one code but two. One code that we use today in our current mathematical systems and a second code that hints at something more ancient and much more profound. A computer programmer warns her, "If you are in a simulation and you are asking these questions, whoever simulated you, isn't going to let you get this far. " Putting danger aside, she pursues her mission. She interviews geneticists, archeologists, biblical scholars, and quantum physicists that have all picked up the same code in their work. Could this be the next part of our evolution? Melissa weaves together profound evidence that our greatest human potential is hidden in plain sight, waiting for us to understand how the universe really works.

Melissa Tittl - Producer
Born from ancient wisdom. Translated to our new reality. Hathor studios was started by Melissa Tittl a producer, writer and director who has been implementing new narratives to the same old human storytelling. She created this company to develop content that uncovers the human potential hidden in the unknown. We are a full production studio known for documentaries, episodic TV and short content. We merge with talent all over the world to create art that influences the masses. Why did we name it Hathor Studios? Hathor is one of the original goddesses of Egypt. Her temple still exists in Dendera but her wisdom has been replaced with the ideals of a more famous goddess,Isis. We feel that her presence represents something humanity lost thousands of years ago, something we are searching for currently and something we may need to get to the next level of humanity.

My life mission is dedicated to producing content about the world of the unknown that contributes to the fabric of society and our understanding of existence. Since childhood, I have been fascinated by narratives that challenge boundaries and promote critical thinking. This quest led me into a career in production, writing and directing as an investigative journalist. As Head of Content and Development for Gaia, I wrote and developed new story concepts into an expanding, global market. I also wrote and produced TV shows for major networks (Paramount Studios, Netflix, History Channel,...

Im a Florida Drag Queen and Im Scared "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

I am a drag queen performer from Florida. I was born in Winter Haven Hospital and lived and studied in the state for 17 years before I finally got out in 1993. I left because I had the drive and passion to pursue musical theatre for a living. I did, however, have an incredible education and opportunities to excel before leaving. I went to a performing arts high school, where I worked with and was mentored by some of the best people in the musical theatre industry, including Anne Reinking. I also felt comfortable with myself and the world that I existed in to come out as gay when I was 15 in 1991. But I was so ready to get out and see the world.

I was later accepted to every college program I auditioned for, including schools in New York, Boston, Florida, and Ohio. I settled on the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and its illustrious musical theatre BFA program. Four years later, I began working in New York. I sustained myself in musical theatre for 17 years. Somewhere during that time, I discovered drag. It became an outlet for me that combined my talents and education, while branching into a whole new form of entertainment that focused on my own work and my ideas, instead of those of a theater director. I fell in love with drag and the character I created, Beneva Fruitville. I got my drag name from an actual intersection in Sarasota, Florida. The first time I heard of it, I thought it would be a perfect drag name. I worked as Beneva for 13 years. I loved her, and being her taught me how to love myself.

An Artists Hopeful Vision of the Ocean "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

LOS ANGELES  The Fisher Museum of Art at the University of Southern California has been swallowed by the sea.

The Indonesian fiber artist Mulyana has taken over the museum with colorful, hand-knitted and crocheted aquatic life. Mulyana: Modular Utopia features two room-sized installations, three-dimensional fiber wall sculptures, colorful costumes, and soft, inviting pillows.

Mulyana crafts a tactile, mystical world in which fish, whales, and coral reefs coexist with sea monsters. A multi-hued green figure made from yarn, Adikara (2020), emerges from a bright bed of seaweed and coral. Mulyana, pulling from Indonesian tradition, often creates masks and costumes to explore other dimensions of his personality, usually a heroic, nonhuman creature. A ruffled, yellow costume, Si Koneng (2022), sprouts from patches of dull gray coral, contrasting the subdued sea life with its sunny energy.

The duality of life and death is a recurring theme in Mulyanas deceptively cheerful art. Much of the plush, gray coral tha...

1,400-Year-Old Mural of Two-Faced Man Found in Peru "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Archaeologists have revealed a new trove of painted murals within Paamarca, a pillared hall on a rock outcrop in the lower Nepea Valley of northern Peru. One series of murals features a two-faced man wearing a golden headdress and elaborate belt holding a fan of red and yellow feathers. In the upper painting, the figure holds a goblet of flowers feeding four hummingbirds in one hand. The figure carries a weapon or a quipu, an Indigenous numerical accounting device, in the lower portion, and his feathered fan is bent. Historians hypothesize that the images, which date back nearly 1,400 years, could represent artists attempts to experiment with portraying movement or narrative.

Lead researchers Jessica Ortiz Zevallos, the Peruvian director of the Archaeological Research Project (PIA); Michele Koons, archaeology curator at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science; and Lisa Trever, professor of Pre-Columbian Art History and Archaeology at Columbia University discussed their teams work at a January 2023 annual meeting at the Institute of Andean Studies in Berkley, California.

What grabbed our teams attention, though, was the pillar painted with this person with two faces, never before seen in Moche art or any other pre-Hispanic tradition of the Andean region, Zevallos told Hyperallergic of t...

House Bill 394 (HB 394) which would establish a state meat inspection program in Tennessee, will be heard in the House Agricultural and Natural Resources Committee on Wednesday March 29th at 9am Central.

There is currently a shortage of inspected slaughterhouses in Tennessee leading to an inability to meet the demand for locally produced meat. Since it is easier to get state-inspected slaughterhouses online than it is federally inspected facilities, HB 394 will help remedy the lack of slaughterhouse infrastructure which is one of the biggest weaknesses in Tennessees food system.

Understanding the past is vital to our future. Its why, even millions of years later, archeologists are enthralled with pre-historic discoveries. As we sort through them, it can help bring the present into focus. Artist Daniel Arsham creates works that are inspired by the practice of archaeology, but he considers it from an alternative perspective. Instead of sorting through the past, Arsham is interested in digging into the future. His solo exhibition Wherever You Go, There You Are at the Orange County Museum of Art explores the notion of fictional archaeology by way of sculpture, photography, and painting.

The pieces featured in the exhibitionhis first major museum show in the U.S.are recognizable figures in contemporary popular culture. They are cast to look like relics that future generations will excavate and study in the same way we have with Egyptian mummies or centuries-old shipwrecks. Arsham's works are constructed from geological materials like sand, pyrite, and volcanic ash.

One of the most identifiable pieces is a replica of the 1981 DeLorean, the time-traveling car from the Back to the Future film franchise. Its patinated to show its age and looks like its been dug up. There are even chunks missing from it that show its inner structure. An astronaut space suit has a similar treatment with part of it showing decay. These striking elements are placed alongside other future ruins including sports equipment and the telephone.

Binance And Its CEO CZ Sued By CFTC After Alleged Regulatory Violations "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

The CFTC lawsuit details how the firm allegedly offered unregistered commodity derivatives to American customers.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commision has sued Binance, the worlds largest cryptocurrency exchange by volume, and its CEO Changpeng Zhao, alleging that the company offered the sale of unregistered derivatives to customers in the United States.

The lawsuit alleges several transgressions against CFTC regulation, including the offering, entering into, confirming the execution of, or otherwise dealing in, off-exchange commodity futures transactions, operating a facility for the trading or processing of swaps without being registered as a swap execution facility (SEF) or designated as a contract market, failing to diligently supervise Binances activities relating to the conduct that subjects Binance to Commission registration requirements, and failing to implement an effective customer information program and to otherwise comply with applicable provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act.

These violations, amongst others, were hidden within the operations of the company, which the lawsuit alleges was designed to obscure the ownership, control, and location of the Binance platform.

According to the lawsuit, the court must hold Binance accountable, otherwise Binance is likely to continue to engage in the acts and practices alleged in this complaint and similar acts and practices.

The lawsuit featured alleged internal Signal messages which indicate that the company knew of its wrongdoings and encouraged the practices within the platform.

2023 has held great regulatory challenges for Binance; in January, U.S. Senators launched an investigation into alleged criminal activity the platform participated in. In addition, the DOJ confirmed that it was split on its decision of whether to charge Binance and its executives, with reports stating that DOJ officials had discussed possible plea deals with Binance's attorneys.

It seems, however, that it was simply a matter of time before Binance was charged by some regulatory entity. The SEC has recently stated its position that cryptocurrencies outside of bitcoin are securities, with a bulletin warning recently posted describing that th...

Were These Grandparents Wrong For Not Gifting Money Equally Among Their Grandchildren? "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

This is the kind of post that I go into ready to judge OP, but once I heard the details of their story, I couldnt help but be on their side.

OP and her husband have money saved and have a comfortable life. Now that their children and grandchildren are grown they love spreading it around, and have gifted 4 of their 5 grandchildren a check for $40k on the eve of their weddings.

They asked their grandchildren to keep the amount quiet so that others dont expect the same, and all have obliged.

First of all, this is my first post on here ever, I wanted an objective opinion and I have read a lot of these kinds of posts on Facebook. If I do anything wrong please tell me.

I(70s F) am the grandmother to 5 wonderful grandkids (3 women and 2 men). The last of my grandkids got married last October. My husband (70s M) and I usually get them a small gift (usually the cheapest thing on the registry), then the day before the wedding, we privately gift them a check for $40k, we prefer that they use it for a house, but we dont force them to do so.

We also ask them to keep it private (we have a big extended family, and we dont want them to expect it from us). They all honored this request.

When their youngest granddaughter received a cheap gift from her grandparents she called to rudely complain, saying that she knew they had money and accusing them of being cheap.

When it came to our youngest granddaughter, we bought her an air fryer (that was the cheapest thing on the registry) and sent it in advance.

Then she called us furious, she went off on us for being cheap and how she knew we had money, but that we did not love her enough to show it by getting her something more expensive.

They privately decided to get her a bigger wedding gift but to keep the $4...

Photographer Uses Simple Illusion To Capture Giant Moon Hovering Over New York City

Large Full Moon Behind Balcony Full of People

Photographer Nina Wolfe grew up in a home that had a view of the New York City skyline, and from a young age, she was inspired by that view. She often wandered the streets of Manhattan to look for inspiration and eventually fell in love with landscape and cityscape photography. But it was the Moon that really captured her imagination and has been her muse for many years. Her Moon photography shows this celestial body hovering over the city skyline or behind familiar monuments like the Statue of Liberty.

In particular, Wolfe enjoys photographing the Moon in a way that shows off its size. In most of her images, it looks like a giant glowing orb that dwarfs the architecture. This gives her work a surreal touch that makes it stand apart from typical moon photography.

The Moon is roughly a quarter million miles away. Any place you stand on earth, the Moon will always be the same size, she shares. If you take a building such as the Empire State Building and you stand right next to it, its huge!

So, how does she accomplish the illusion? It's not as difficult as you might think. All it requires is shooting with a long lens.  That will make the building look really close and, voila, youve captured the illusion!

Wolfe adds, You could also replicate this illusion if the Moon were high in the sky, and you were zoomed in and caught a jetliner passing by in front of the Moon.

As with all astrophotography, it requires careful planning to get the creative opportunities Wolfe craves. She finds the apps Planit Pro and Ventusky to be particularly useful for determining the position of the Moon and the weather c...

Otherwordly Ceramic Forms by Janny Baek Evoke Growth and Transformation "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

An abstract ceramic vessel with colorful glaze.

All images Janny Baek, shared with permission

Ive always been drawn to art in different ways, but sculpting clay by hand seems to come most naturally to me. I think it is my most effective means of communication, says Janny Baek, whose playful, abstract ceramics blur the line between form and function. Drawing on fundamental compositional elements like color, line, and volume, she creates characterful shapes from clay that advocate for the strange, uncategorized, undefined, changeable, hybrid, multiple, alien, and pleasurable.

After studying ceramics in college, Baek worked as a sculptor for animation and toys before pursuing graduate studies and a career in architecture. As an architect, she used digital tools like parametric 3D modeling, which employs computer algorithms to create advanced designs, and while she enjoys the possibilities of technology, she was pulled toward working with her hands. As life becomes increasingly screen-based, I also made an intentional choice to engage in a physical mode of making. Im learning a lot about sculpting with each piece I make, she says. Even though I do it a lot, I still find it very intriguing and mysterious.

There is an ineffable comfort that our non-human companions bless upon our lives those beings whose daily task it is to bite every sorrow until it fled and with their loss comes an ineffable species of grief.

Two centuries after the young Lord Byron tried to put it into words in his soulful elegy for his beloved dog, the poet and novelist May Sarton (May 3, 1912July 16, 1995) captured it in stirring prose in the wake of her beloved cats death, reflecting on the emotional rollercoaster of loss the syncopation of grief and relief that is any death.

MicroStrategy Purchases 6,455 BTC, Pays Off $205M Loan At 22% Discount "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

MicroStrategy continues to stack bitcoin, with the help of a sizable discount on a loan taken out at Silvergate Bank.

MicroStrategy has announced the repayment of a $205M bitcoin-collateralized loan in full at a 22% discount for $160M, along with the acquisition of an additional 6,455 BTC, bringing their total holdings to 138,955 BTC.

According to a tweet by Chairman Michael Saylor, the bitcoin was acquired at an average price of ~$29,817 per bitcoin. The loan was through now-collapsed Silvergate Bank, which explains the steep discount on the loan paid off by MicroStrategy.

MicroStrategy continues to have the largest public corporation holdings of bitcoin, with second-in-line Marathon holding more than 100,000 bitcoin less than MicroStrategy.

MicroStrategy began buying bitcoin back in August 2020, only selling it for the first time in December 2022 for the purpose of tax loss harvesting. Even then, it continued to add to its bitcoin collection, acquiring 2,500 bitcoin shortly after the sale.

MicroStrategy also recently announced its plans to release enterprise infrastructure services and content monetization solutions using the Bitcoin Lightning Network. Michael Saylor, who was the companys CEO from its inception, changed his role at the company in August 2022 in order to further focus on the companys stated mission of advancing Bitcoin adoption and development.

Todays news of further acquisition of bitcoin by the company reiterates its belief in the long-term viability of their bitcoin investment, and shows that large entities continue to acquire bitcoin as the price has ramped up in recent weeks.

14 Historical Figures We Should Really Take Off Their Pedestals "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Honestly, there are probably more historical figures that belong off their pedestals than on, because listen theyre human beings. And most of us are a fine blend of good, bad, ugly, and really trying.

People say if were knocking down statues today, though, these 14 folks should be the first to go.

13. A handful of war crimes.

Erwin Rommel is hailed as some clean innocent saint by some people despite his unquestioning loyalty to the NSDAP and his actions against minority populations in North Africa and France.

He even committed quite some war crimes such as ki**ing of POWs, however. His name was cleared mostly by the americans at the end of the war. This was due to the fact that america needed the german army as a kind of buffer against the communist ussr, so america started painting the picture of rommel being one of the good ones.

They did this as well for all the other germans, making the point that not all germans were bad or nazis.

12. A money-hungry slouch.

Thomas Edison. He was nothing more than a money hungry guy who stole the ideas of him competitors.

He burned down Teslas laboratory and ki**ed an elephant to show people how dangerous Teslas idea was.

Funnily enough the electricity we use today is the one that Tesla was vouching for.

11. Par for the course.

Andrew Jackson. Committed full-on genocide of Native American, but remembered as a rags-to-riches and valiant president and general.

Also, Lyndon B Johnson. He dragged his feet through the civil rights movement and only signed it when it was politically beneficial to him and his party. Plus, he contributed the most...

Macro Photography Captures the Delicate Dance of Mantises in Malaysia

Mantis Macro Photography

Macro photographer Pang Way captures the delicate dance-like movements of a variety of mantis species. From an up-close point of view, he depicts the insects as they balance on their long legs with wings splayed in a fan-like fashion. Were able to admire all of their incredible characteristics, from the brilliant coloring to the delicate webbing over their wings. It offers a new appreciation for these elegant creatures that live throughout the world.

Although mantises are everywhere, Way is based in Malaysia and focuses on the species there. Because Malaysia is a rainforest country, he tells My Modern Met, we can easily find lots of special subjects in the forest. Most of his photos are snapped in the wild, but there are times when hell use studio lighting to get a special effect for his larger subjects.

Regardless of whether on site or in studio, the results are as illuminating for him as they are for the viewer; education is one of the primary goals of his photography. My aim is to shoot and document as many species of insects, bugs, and spiders as possible to improve my knowledge in terms of basic entomology, identification, and habitat study.

I Could Not Believe It: The Teenage Diaries of Sean DeLear "IndyWatch Feed Literature"

Courtesy of Semiotext(e).

I met Sean DeLear when I was twenty-four, in this house across from the Eagle in Los AngelesI remember Sean talking about the LA scene, me asking him if he had a Germs burn (I dont remember the answer), but also being very struck by the fact that up until that point I had probably met only a couple dozen Black punks but never anyone of Sean Des age and with their poise. Even in Stripped Bare House at 2 A.M. and being festive she just commanded this kind of magic and glamourit was definitely something to reach for and to aspire to. We dont always clock these things when we are younger, but the mere presence of her let me be hip to the fact that I could be beautiful, Black, and punk foreverand in fact, it would be the best possible path to take.

It had been mentioned to me by Alice Bag (of the Bags, duh) that Sean was amongst the First 50that seminal group of LA kids who were the first freaks to go to punk shows in Los Angeles and the geniuses of LA punk. Being a total-poser nineties punk I cant even wrap my head around the dopamine effect of being in the mix when it all felt newwhen Sean first started taking the bus out of Simi Valley and going headfirst into the scene for shows in Hollywood. How very frightening and liberating it must have been at the time for her, but of course I think Sean De was way beyond the title trendsetterthe word for her is MOTHER, forever, for sure, and for always.

What is contained in the tiny pages of this book is a blaringly potent historical artifact of Black youth, seconds before the full realization into the scary world of adolescence and inevitable adulthood. Uncomfortable in parts? Yes, of course. I remember in eighth grade reading The Diary of Anne Frankthe uncensored version, which was withheld from the public until her fathers death because he stated he could not live with the most private parts of his adolescent daughters diary being consumed by the world. There is a certain sense of protection I feel for baby Sean Des most private thoughts being so exposed; however, so very little is written about the lives and the bold sexuality of young queers, and specifically of young Black queers, that I als...

Chemical Spill In Delaware River: Ruling Class Says The Water Is Safe To Drink "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

The ruling class does not care about the slave class, and its becoming more apparent by the day. After a chemical spill in the Delaware River, the authorities told people the water was still safe to drink.

The City of Philadelphia says it is now confident tap water from the Baxter Drinking Water Treatment Plant will remain safe to drink until at least 11:59 p.m. Monday following a chemical spill in the Delaware River, according to a report by CNN.

There has not been any contamination in the Philadelphia water system, Mike Carroll, the citys deputy managing director for transportation, infrastructure, and sustainability, told reporters. We have enough water to sustain a safe use for drinking, cooking all purposes through till at least 11:59 p.m., Monday, March 27, Carroll said. The potential for contamination is diminishing over time.

Trinseo PLC, which owns the facility where the spill occurred, said in a statement on its website Sunday that this chemical spill appears to be the result of equipment failure.

These toxic spills have been starting to look more intentional than coincidental.

The chemical spill was reported Friday night.

As has been reported, on Friday night a chemical spill occurred in Bristol Township, Bucks County which released contaminants into the Delaware River, Mike Carroll the citys deputy managing director for transportation, infrastructure, and sustainability said. The Philadelphia Water Department (PWD) became aware of this through the Delaware Valley Early Warning System (EWS) and has been evaluating the situation since that time to understand potential impacts to the public. Although early indications...

Hyperrealistic Oil Paintings Explore What We Hide and Share "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Hyperrealistic Oil Paintings Explore What We Hide and Share

Paintings of a Person Covering Their Face With Hands by Tigran Tsitoghdzyan

Since the introduction of social media, there has been more New York-based artist Tigran Tsitoghdzyan explores this phenomenon in his ongoing series of hyperrealistic portraits, titled Mirror. Rendered in a limited grayscale color palette, these paintings depict different women covering their faces with their hands. Except, rather than hiding their features, we are able to see through their hands.

Tsitoghdzyan was inspired to embark on this series after seeing the rise of selfies among young people, particularly younger women. The filters became so popular that many girls can't imagine posting a selfie unfiltered, he tells My Modern Met. The cellphone cameras even have algorithms and recognize the selfie through a filter on your face. The young generation doesn't like camera pictures anymore as they are so used to seeing themselves through their phone.

This idea of what people filtered and embellished on their faces led Tsitoghdzyan to Mirror. Each of these black and white paintings focuses on the head of an individual, which has been blown up to an extremely large scale of at least 7 feet, and sometimes bigger. Using traditional techniques, Tsitoghdzyan portrays each figure in an idealized wayhiding the texture of their skin, and enhancing their makeup where necessary so they seem naturally perfect. Covering the face with your hands is the most natural movement we do to hide anything since our childhood, but I still wanted to see the faces throughquestioning what we hide and what we share, he explains.

Scroll down to see more of Tsitoghdzyan's paintings and keep up to date with his latest projects by following the artist on Instagram.

How to Connect in a Civilization of Disconnection "IndyWatch Feed Fertility"

According to Jon Young, deeply wise about our ancestral practices, the job of a culture is to support meaningful connection. This is what traditional cultures do. They connect community members to ancestors, to future generations, and to the natural world. Individuals are connected to their deeper evolved nature and to one another.

What does it mean to be connected? Connection is about sharing our deeper selves, our beingness, with one another. We are fully present emotionally and mentally. We tune into our species evolved capacities for attunement to the world.

According to Jon, western civilization is a disconnection machine, disconnecting us from ourselves, from one another, and from Nature. The dominant civilization shuts down the individual self, thwarting its development and its connectedness. The dominant civilization focuses on the conscious mind and alienates it from the deeper self. Disconnectedness from self is accompanied by disconnection from others. After all, we find ourselves in our relationships with others.

Jon Young learned humanitys deep ways of connecting that have been practices for hundreds of thousands of years among our cousins, the San of the Kalahari, whose ancestors are all of our ancestors. They still practice ways of living and being that match up with our deeper human propensities. You could say that they still know and apply the software th...

He gives clear answers about how we can survive this crisis, including why we must have NO bailouts for banks. He also breaks down the biggest questions being asked: Who owns our money? Is a Federal Reserve-controlled CBDC the endgame? Whos to blame for this banking collapse? How will the everyday American be affected? Glenn and Dave also discuss AI, his friendship with Elon Musk, Bidens reliable incompetence, whether were living in a simulation, whether well end up in a war with China and Russia, and why he thinks we WILL figure out who bombed the Nord Stream pipelines.
