How To Listen to 10,000 of the First Phonograph Recordings Ever Made "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
Want to hear history? Through the University of California Santa Barbara Cylinder Audio Archive, the tunes and voices of over a hundred years ago can be projected from your computer or phone. The internet archive compiled over 10,000 wax cylinder recordingsknown as phonograph cylindersfrom the earliest years of sound recordings. Invented by Thomas Edison in 1877, the phonograph became a vehicle for late 19th and very early 20th-century sound.
The wax cylinders recorded sound through engravings on their surfaces. The sound could then be played back on a phonograph, a machine similar to a modern record player with a large horn. Companies began to mass produce cylinders that recorded songs and orchestras played live. Those who happened to own their own recording equipment could even make home recordings. All these genres can be found in the UCSB archives. From the 1890s to the late 1910s when disc format began to be used, this dominant medium captured the sounds of turn-of-the-century America.
Try exploring perky polkas, ragtime, and even yodeling. You can listen to cylinders in Welsh or Yiddish, or specifically search for harmonica melodies. Playlists will take you through Central Europe or the work of Black artists and composers. The early speeches of T...

Woman Asks if Shes Wrong for Banning Her Husband From Visiting Her Sister "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
Theres a time and a place for some friendly debate among adults about politics and things like that but it can get really old really fast when people insist on doing it all the time.
So is this woman a jerk for banning her husband from visiting her sister with her?
Take a look and let us know what you think in the comments.
AITA for banning my husband from visiting my sister with me because he wont stop trying to debate her and her husband?
My sister, Marie, (29) and her husband Zach (40) had their first child, a beautiful baby girl, 2 months ago. They have been pretty nervous parents, so when my husband Tom (42) and I (37) were invited to finally meet our niece, I was thrilled except I was worried about Tom making an ass out of himself.
You see, Tom and Marie have always had a hard time getting along because they do not agree on nearly anything, and Tom has always gotten a kick out of challenging Marie on their differing views because they are both very opinionated.
The thing is to Tom, it is funny to watch Marie react when he says things to provoke her, and Marie always wants to prove his views wrong. In his head, because she was in grad school for social sciences (she finished right before having her baby) and is knowledgeable about the topics that Tom wants to argue about, Marie shouldnt have a problem with debating him because its literally her job.
In the past, both Tom and Marie have initiated these arguments, and they have both been guilty of taking it too far in the past. But ever since she got pregnant/ had a baby Marie has calmed down a lot, whereas Tom still tries to bait her into debates about touchy subjects (mainly politics and personal values). This got to a point where Marie blocked him on all social media a few months ago.

Satanists Demand Equal Access to School Clubs in Lawsuit "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"
A school district in Pennsylvania is threatened with being sued by an after-school Satanist club after allegedly refusing them access to school grounds for religious activities, a report from the Guardian has revealed.
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) sent a letter to the Saucon Valley school district on behalf of the club, asking them to allow the After School Satan Club (ASSC) to access school facilities in line with the First Amendment of the US Constitution.
The ACLU of Pennsylvania and the ACLU issued a letter today to the Saucon Valley School District, warning officials that their recent decision to deny the After School Satan Club access to school facilities is in violation of the First Amendment. https://t.co/Ub4oQddDT4 pic.twitter.com/jpELcBTDnF

According to the ACLU, the ASSC was initially allowed to use facilities for their activities but then prohibited after backlash from the community members, causing their requested meeting dates to be denied.
In contrast, an organization dedicated to spreading the word about the Bible called the Good News Club was allowed to access public school grounds for hosting meetings. This organization is sponsored primarily by the local Evangelical church in the area.

Carole Nervig: The Lost Legacy of Lemuria "IndyWatch Feed Uncanny"
Shows how the archetypal symbols of the Pohnpaid petroglyphs
have exact counterparts in other ancient cultures throughout the
world
Provides evidence that Pohnpaid is closely related to--yet
predates--neighboring Nan Madol
Includes hundreds of Pohnpaid petroglyphs and stone circle photos,
many never before seen
While residing on the small Pacific island of Pohnpei in the 1990s,
Carole Nervig discovered that a recent brush fire had exposed
hundreds of previously unknown petroglyphs carved on gigantic
boulders. This portion of the megalithic site called Pohnpaid was
unknown even to Pohnpeis state historic preservation officer. The
petroglyphs were unlike others from Oceania, so Nervig began
investigating and comparing them with petroglyphs and symbols from
around the world.
In this fully illustrated exploration, Nervig documents her
discoveries on Pohnpei, revealing how the archetypal symbols of the
Pohnpaid petroglyphs have exact counterparts in other ancient
cultures and universal motifs throughout the world, including the
Australian Aborigines, the Inca in Peru, the Vedic civilization of
India, early Norse runes, and Japanese symbols. She provides
evidence that Pohnpaid is closely related to--yet
predates--neighboring Nan Madol and shows how Pohnpaid was an
outpost of the sunken Kahnihmueiso, a city of the now-vanished
civilization of Mu, or Lemuria.
Discussing the archaeoastronomical function of the Pohnpaid stones,
the author examines how many of the glyphs symbolize celestial
phenomena and clearly reveal how their creators were sky watchers
with a sophisticated understanding of astronomy, geophysics,
geomancy, and engineering. She shows how the scientific concepts
depicted in the petroglyphs reveal how the citizens of Mu had a
much deeper understanding of the living Earth than we do, which
gave them the ability to manipulate natural forces both physically
and energetically. Combining archaeological evidence with
traditional oral accounts, Nervig reveals Pohnpaid not only as a
part of a geodetic network of ancient sacred sites and portals but
also as a remnant of the now submerged but once enlightened
Motherland of Mu.
Carole Nervig has spent more than four decades researching
Micronesian traditional culture and oral history as well as the
sacred sites of Micronesia and Hawaii. She first moved to
Micronesia as a Peace Corps volunteer in 1969. In the 1990s she
discovered a previously unknown megalithic portion of the Pohnpaid
petroglyph site on the Micronesian island of Pohnpei. Creator of
the Nan Madol Foundation, she now lives in Ecuador.

If you get easily offended by stories where something bad happens to an animal, you might want to tread carefully.
Because this story from Reddits Am I the A**hole? page is kind of a bummer!
Check out all the details below and let us know what you think in the comments.
AITA for being mad at my wife for releasing a bunny in the middle of the yard?
A few days ago my kids found a little bunny and brought it home. And they were begging us to keep it. But we cant keep a wild rabbit and already have several pets.
The bunny was big enough to fend for itself. And I tried to nicely tell my kids that it needs to go back home to its family. They were sad, but agreed to take it back. However, I was busy with work and couldnt go with them.
So my wife went. I told her to take the bunny to some thorn bushes at the end of the property and let it go there. Because thats the safest place to do it. We live in a country area ripe with predators.
Well I went back to work. But a little while later my kids came running back into the house loudly crying with my wife trailing after and trying to calm them down and tell them its not so bad.
I asked what happened, and my eldest said that mama made them let the bunny go in the middle of the yard, and a hawk took it. They even described the poor bunnys screams. I was mortified, and then angry at my wife for not letting it go the way Id advised.
She defended herself and said it Was just a bunny! The kids will get over it!. But I said that was absolutely wrong. And I warned her of predators. And now our kids had to see that poor bunny get carried away by a hawk. Both of our kids shut themselves...

Shes Annoyed That Her Mother-In-Law Ate Her Dinner. Is She Wrong? "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
Im not gonna give anything away here, but I think Id be pretty POd if someone ate my dinner, too
But lets not get ahead of ourselves, okay?
Check out this story from Reddits Am I the A**hole? page and see if you think this woman acted like an a**hole for getting mad at her mother-in-law
AITA for being annoyed my MIL ate my dinner?
Tonight my MIL came over for dinner I made Swedish meatballs in gravy with mashed potato, broccoli and home made bread.
In my house we tend to eat in the lounge room unless its a big event so I dish up everyones meal. Kids, MIL and husband I take their meals to them and then before serving mine I have to run out to the line and grab some clothes that I hung out earlier. No big deal.
I served up generous portions for everyone way more than I thought they could eat but when I got back from the line my dinner was gone. I asked if anyone knew what had happened to the food on the bench and MIL pipes up and says she wanted some more.
Shes piled her bowl FULL of meatballs. Way more than she would ever eat. Im stunned. I figure oh well. Ill just grab some fast food a bit later or something because maybe she was super hungry. My bad for not cooking enough.
But once shes eaten what she wants, she asks for a container so she can take her extra portion home for dinner the next night. Im pretty annoyed at this point and mention that it was meant to be my dinner for that night, not her takeaway meal for the next night. She says oh well you can eat it then and I reply with no thank you. And hand her a container. ( I didnt want to eat her leftovers.)
She leaves and my husband puts the kids to bed. When he comes back in he asks whats wrong and I tell him that Im hungry. I cooked t...
Is Technology Making Non-Domestic Energy Performance Contractors More Or Less Remarkable? "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"
On the lookout for the best source of information about Non-Domestic Energy Performance Contractors, but are not sure where to begin? We have done all the thinking for you with our round-up of Non-Domestic Energy Performance Contractors fundamentals.
The UK government hopes that SECR, a new mandatory energy and
carbon reporting scheme for larger companies, will give
organisations a clearer picture of their energy use, incentivising
carbon reduction. There is a reputational driver too reports will
be publicly available, allowing increased transparency for
investors and other stakeholders. In the United Kingdom, all
buildings that have been sold, rented, or recently built must have
an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). It is an official document
which explains how energy efficient a building is. Although most
property owners only obtain an EPC when it is mandated by the
government, there are several additional benefits associated with
getting one Commercial Energy Performance Certificates are valid
for 10 years from when issued. If you implement any of the energy
efficiency recommendations outlined in your EPC, you may wish to
get a fresh Commercial Energy Performance Certificate done to
include these improvements. As from the 1st April 2018 there will
be a requirement for any properties rented out in the private
rented sector to normally have a minimum energy performance rating
of E on an Energy EPC. The regulations will come into force for new
lets and renewals of tenancies with effect from 1st April 2018 and
for all existing tenancies on 1st April 2020. It will be unlawful
to rent a property which breaches the requirement for a minimum E
rating, unless there is an applicable exemption. An EPC could prove
beneficial, even if you are not planning to rent or sell your
property. It is estimated that the residential sector is
responsible for around 27% of the UKs carbon emissions and so
contributes significantly to climate change. The guidance provided
in an EPC will enable you to make changes which will minimise the
environmental impact of your home and reduce your fuel bills. EPCs
are valid for 10 years. They were introduced to England and Wales
in 2007. This means that depending on when you moved into your
property, your certificate may already be valid. You can use the
EPC registers look-up tool to check if you have one and if its
still valid.
Non-compliance with MEES could result in enforcement action and a
fine. For breaches with a length of less than three months, the
maximum penalty for commercial properties is 5,000 or 10% of the
rateable value of the property. For breaches with a length of more
than three months, the penalty doubles: the maximum penalty is
10,000 or 20% of the rateable value of the property. There are many
benefits that one gets by conducting periodic EPC inspections.

Are Your Conclusions On Green Belt Architectural Businesses Comparable To Mine? "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"
Working through a big decision, such as investing in Green Belt Architectural Businesses, can give us a kind of shortsightedness, where we get so absorbed on the immediate consequences of the decision at hand that we dont think about the ultimate outcomes we expect.
If a local council grants planning permission for a permanent
home in the green belt, they will remove rights for further
extensions to, and new buildings within the curtilage (the small
area forming part or parcel of the home or building within which it
is contained or to which it is attached) of the agricultural or
forestry workers home. This is to make sure that further
development cannot reduce the openness of the Green Belt. Creating
architecture involves art and beauty, science and engineering,
values and beliefs, friendship and team-working. It is one of
life's rewarding activities, bringing together a wide range of
personalities, skills and expertise. It is an adventure for the
client, the architect and their team. New developments should be
placed where they have least effect on the landscape, avoiding
prominent locations, and should use structures, individual
buildings or groups of buildings as screening where appropriate. If
your proposal is unacceptable because of its size, design or
position, you cannot make it acceptable by planting trees as
screening. Proposals for new accesses, driveways, walls, gates,
other hard landscaping or other engineering operations will only be
allowed where they respect the character of the local built and
natural environment and do not harm the openness of the Green Belt.
Green belt architects' clients include home owners, business
owners, property developers and even architects. They have a track
record of successful Planning Permission Applications and Planning
Appeals in their local area. It is clear that the Government
attaches great importance to Green Belts. The fundamental aim of
Green Belt policy is to prevent the uncontrolled spread of urban
areas by keeping land permanently open. The essential
characteristics of the Green Belt are its openness and its
permanence.
Green belt architects design new buildings and the spaces around
them, and work on the restoration and conservation of existing
buildings in green belt areas. Currently, building a new house on a
plot of green belt land is not likely to receive planning
permission, but converting a garage into a house has more chance as
the most recent change might not significantly encroach into the
green belt. Green Belt release should set ways in which the impact
of removing land from the Green Belt can be offset through
compensatory improvements to the environmental quality and
accessibility of remaining Green Belt land, as defined in paragraph
138 of the 2019....
A Far-reaching Editorial On The Idea Of Customer Relationship Management Services "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"
v
Let me know some pro's and con's about Customer Relationship Management Services that you've observed
CRM solutions allow teams to create reports across many
different databases with the information required, in a few simple
steps, rather than having teams to create reports themselves. The
sooner a lead is followed up the higher the possibility in
converting them into a customer. It's all about first impressions
and getting to your prospects in good time, because the chances are
they have contacted your competitors too. Many CRMs will also allow
you to apply customized tags to your audience. Tags are unique
identifiers that can help you add extra insights for certain
audience members that might not have otherwise appeared within your
data. For example, if someone has made a purchase from your store
and opted into your marketing, youll probably already know their
purchase history, shopping preferences, name, and maybe even their
location and demographics, too. Anecdotes of failed CRM initiatives
are plenty and almost every employee or manager can tell
interesting, sometimes funny stories about his or her companys
efforts to bring CRM to life. Yet, the figures of CRM failures -
which according to several market research companies (e.g. Gartner,
Forrester Research, Economist Intelligence Unit) are as high as 50%
- are a clear warning sign. Many companies are increasing their
focus on customer experience and using their CRM programs to
improve customer interactions. As more customers communicate
directly with companies through social media channels, CRM programs
are opting to include social media functionality. The lack of an
internationally recognized set of standards for CRM has hindered
efforts to measure and benchmark best practice a pre-requisite to
helping achieve improved performance in CRM. Few companies as yet
have developed their own integrated and detailed processes for
measuring CRM performance. The complexity of measuring the many
processes contributing to the success of CRM makes this a
potentially daunting task. The entire journey from prospect to
buyer can be done on a CRM platform. As you acquire prospects, you
can track their behavior and score them accordingly. That
information can be used to nurture them and prioritize
outreach.
Your CRM system should be linked with your email provider. Most CRM
systems have built-in or third-party add-on capability to integrate
with popular email service providers. Many CRM solutions offer the
option to score leads, track their journey, and monitor purchase
histories. This will help you discover quality leads, upsell, and
cross-sell. With this information at hand, you can start nurturing
leads with personalized emails, special offers, and discounts to
advantages of CR....

Researchers Develop an E-Fabric That Generates Enough Power To Charge Your Phone "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
We've all been in a position where our phone runs out of battery, but we don't have anywhere to charge it. Well, what if the clothing you were wearing could help you out? It's an option that isn't as outlandish as you might think, thanks to work by researchers at Nottingham Trent University.
Dr. Theodore Hughes-Riley, Associate Professor of Electronic Textiles at the Nottingham School of Art and Design, led research that has resulted in the development of an innovative e-textile that's embedded with 1,200 photovoltaic cells. The cells combined together are capable of harnessing 400 milliwatts (mWatts) of electrical energy from the sun. It's enough to charge a basic mobile phone or smartwatch.
The e-textile, which is breathable and flexible, could be incorporated into clothing and accessories ensuring that you'll never be without a charge again. The e-textile behaves just like any other piece of fabric and can handle washing at 40C (104F). This is possible thanks to the waterproof polymer resin that wraps the 5 by 1.5 mm photovoltaic cells.
This prototype gives an exciting glimpse of the future potential for e-textiles, shared Dr. Hughes-Riley. Until now very few people would have considered that their clothing or textiles products could be used for generating electricity. He continues, Electronic textiles really have the potential to change peoples relationship with technology, as this prototype shows how we could do away with charging many devices at the wall. This is an exciting development which builds on previous technologies we have made and illustrates how it can be scaled up to generate more power.
The early e-textile is pushing the boundaries of what's possible. Standing at the forefront of sustainability, it is reshaping the way we think about technology.

Video Captures What Itd Feel Like to Fall From the Worlds Tallest Building "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
For those who are afraid of heights, climbing to the top of a skyscraper may seem like a terrifying endeavor. While there are many tall buildings in the world, there is one that stands above the rest. At 2, 722 feet, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai is currently the tallest building in the world. Artist Andr Larsen shows people what it would look like to fall from that extraordinary height.
Originally from Norway but currently based in Dubai, Larsen piloted a drone from the very top of the Burj Khalifa to the near ground. Watching the video is a surreal experience, making you feel like you are on the journey down this imposing skyscraper. There are 163 stories totals in total, and Larsen takes the drone down as close as he can to the majority of them. It feels like you're on a rollercoaster.
While the drone flies by the building, you are also able to catch glimpses of Dubai's incredible cityscape, including a body of water and many other spectacular buildings. Then, Larsen straightens the drone's course so it skates over the nearby surroundingsbringing the spectacular ride to an end.
Scroll down to watch the full video, and be sure to follow Larsen on Instagram and follow his YouTube to keep up to date with his latest projects.

Dad Shares the Hilariously Ingenious Way He Gets His Kids to Smile for a Picture "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
My son when I tell him to smile vs when I yell out poop! pic.twitter.com/ui6TuPOaC5
Adam Perry (@misterperry) September 14, 2022
Imagine that you're trying to take the perfect photo of your child, and they're supposed to flash their biggest, brightest, and most natural smile. But, more often than not, what ends up coming out on camera is something forced. Many of us have been there. Author and designer Adam Perry has developed his own trick when photographing his son, and the results speak for themselves. So, next time you want to take a good picture of your child, you might want to take a cue from Perry and shout poop before you snap away.
If imagining the scenario makes you giggle, that's actually why it works so well. Perry posted the evidence on Twitter, where side-by-side photos of his 5-year-old son show the effect of this toilet humor.
He has the cutest strained smile, almost like Hide the Pain Harold, Perry shared. My wife and I discovered a few years back that if we yelled out something funny and mildly inappropriate and were ready to snap right away, we could get something good out of it.
Sadly, Perry also confessed that this hack stopped having an effect on his older son, who no longer finds poop so amusing. But, since tweeting his tip, he's heard from a lot of other people who have used his poop trick to get a great photo of their kid.
The portrait, which was taken on the first day of school, instantly went viral. Parents everywhere related to his struggle to get a good photo, and photographers applauded his ingenuity. Many also commented on the funny, and inappropriate, words that use to elicit smiles when it's picture time.
And, if you are interested in the logic behind how this works, psychologist Sam Gosling chimed in with an explanation. Smiling on demand and smili...

Under our kitchen sink was a serious mess. I couldn't find anything and the small stuff was taking up just as much space as the big stuff.
For about $10 I built this amazing, simple organizer that turned frustration into storage freedom!

This project is designed for you to be able to customize for your sink space, and maximize the storage underneath your sink.
This is a easy to customize project, but if you are looking for can build:

How Heavy Was The Largest Gold Nugget Ever Found? "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
When you think about prospecting or mining for gold somewhere like the Yukon, you probably imagine pans with tiny flakes in the bottom, or perhaps a small nugget glinting in the palm of your hand.
What if I told you, then, that the biggest one ever found was heavier than a full-grown man?
The worlds largest gold nugget was found in Victoria, Australia, on February 5th, 1869. John Deason and Richard Oats, two Cornish miners, dubbed their find Welcome Stranger, and recorded its weight as 158.7 pounds.
It was 24 inches long.
The nugget was so large it wouldnt fit on the scale at the London Chartered Bank in Dunolly; they had to break it up before it could be photographed whole.
It was melted down into gold bullion and the men received around 10k euro.
Today, it would likely be worth over 2 million.

Management Software Can Help Bitcoin Miners Realize Their Energy Potential "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
With effective management software, bitcoin miners can take full advantage of the industrys unique efficiencies and potential profits.
This is an opinion editorial by Mitch Klee, an analyst at the mining management platform Foreman.
After China banned bitcoin mining in May 2021, nearly 75% of global hash rate was dispersed and relocated to other countries such as Kazakhstan, Russia, the United States and Canada. Since the seemingly-devastating mining ban took hold in the mining hotbed of China almost two years ago, the landscape of Bitcoin mining has dramatically changed. Remarkably, hash rate has continued to grow and currently stands at around 320 exahashes per second (EH/s), with the U.S. alone estimated to account for almost 37% of all hashrate.
This hypercompetitive growth has prompted miners to seek more efficient ways to manage their operations at scale, with miner management software being a vital part of their strategy.
Management software is changing the landscape of Bitcoin mining by allowing mining facilities to manage their site effectively while saving costs and responding to energy grid demand.
Miner management software is a way to organize and coordinate miners at scale. Starting up, configuring, and programming each ASIC is daunting, involving multiple steps such as establishing pool connections, completing firmware updates, managing power control, and diagnosing problematic hash boards. This setup process can be incredibly difficult when not using the right software. However, with effective miner management software, users can effortlessly manage their mines, ensuring optimal performance and productivity.

As youll know by now the BBC is rapidly being consumed by a crisis of its own making after it axed Gary Lineker from Match of the Day until further notice.
The decision to ditch Lineker has seen a long line of BBC stars walk out in solidarity and left its sports schedule on TV and radio in absolute tatters on Saturday.
And what is most extraordinary for many people is the double standards being meted out to Lineker compared to the BBCs own chairman, Richard Sharp.

How to Bear Your Loneliness: Grounding Wisdom from the Great Buddhist Teacher Pema Chdrn "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
You are born alone. You die alone. The value of the space in between is trust and love, the artist Louise Bourgeois wrote in her diary. How much trust and love we wrest from life and lavish upon life is largely a matter of how well we have befriended our existential loneliness a fundamental fact of every human existence that coexists with our delicate interconnectedness, each a parallel dimension of our lived reality, each pulsating beneath our days.
In When Things Fall Apart: Heart Advice for Difficult Times (public library) her timeless field guide to transformation through difficult times the Buddhist teacher Pema Chdrn explores what it takes to cultivate a nonthreatening relationship with loneliness, to transmute it into a different kind of relaxing and cooling loneliness that subverts our ordinary terror of the existential void.

Screening for Perinatal Depression: An Effective Intervention, or One That Does More Harm Than Good? "IndyWatch Feed Fertility"
Today, pregnant women are regularly asked about their mental wellbeing during their medical checkups, and such questioning continues during their postnatal visits to their pediatricians. The quickest assessment relies on the Whooley questions, a depression screening tool devised by Pfizer in 1993 shortly after its launch of Zoloft. It has just two questions:
During the past month, have you often been bothered by feeling down, depressed or hopeless?
During the past month, have you often been bothered by little interest, or pleasure in doing things?
An answer of yes to one of the two questions yields a positive result requiring further evaluation. If a subsequent assessment determines that the woman is depressed, she may be treated for the condition, even though prior to the screening she might not have self-identified as suffering in this way.
In the United States, such perinatal screening is widely recommended. The American Psychiatric Association (APA), the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists (ACOG), the United States Preventative Services Task Force, and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) all promote it as an evidence-based practice.
According to the AHRQ, which is part of the Department of Health and Human Services, it provides a proven benefit: Depression during pregnancy can raise the risk of having a lowbirthweight baby and premature birth. Screening pregnant women for depression enables health professionals to initiate services that can prevent later problems for both the mother and baby.
However, other national task forces, most notably in Canada and the U.K., have come to an opposite conclusion about the merits of perinatal screening. The U.K. National Screening Committee concluded in its 2019 review that there was not enough evidence that such screening programmes were of benefit to women and children, and that, in fact, they could do harm. False positives could lead to unnecessary treatment, and even if the screening correctly identified [women] with mental health problems, it could prove harmful to the majority, the committee wrote.......

Unhinged: Pro-abortion activist Jane Fonda suggests murdering pro-life Americans "IndyWatch Feed Fertility"
On Friday, 85-year-old actress and far-left activist Jane Fonda went on The View to say that "murder" was something that could be done aside from peaceful protest to change the opinions of pro-life lawmakers in the wake of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v Wade. Fonda said, "We have experienced many decades now of having agency over our body, of being able to determine when and how many children to have. We know what that feels like, we know what that's done for our lives. We're not going back, I don't care what the laws are. We're not going back."

27 favourite things people are saying about Gary Lineker after he was dropped from Match of the Day "IndyWatch Feed Satire"
They thought it was all over, but it turned out it was only just beginning.
The Gary Lineker saga took a dramatic extra time twist on Friday after the BBC dropped him from Match of the Day over his perfectly legitimate criticism of the governments immigration policy.
Heres what the BBC said about it.
The BBC has been in extensive discussions with Gary and his team in recent days. We have said that we consider his recent social media activity to be a breach of our guidelines.
The BBC has decided that he will step back from presenting Match of the Day until weve got an agreed and clear position on his use of social media.
Things escalated further when Linekers colleagues Ian Wright and Alan Shearer both said they wouldnt be appearing as a gesture of solidarity with the Match of the Day presenter.
Heres what Wright had to say.
Everybody knows what Match of the Day means to me, but Ive told the BBC I wont be doing it tomorrow. Solidarity.
Ian Wright (@IanWright0) March 10, 2023
And Shearer.
I have informed the BBC that I wont be appearing on MOTD tomorrow night.
Alan Shearer (@alanshearer) March 10, 2023
And then BBC Sport commentators said they wouldnt take part either. Heres what one of them, Steve Wilson, had to say.
As commentators on MOTD, we have decided to step down from tomorrow nights broadcast. We are comforted that football fans who want to watch their teams should still be able to do so, as management can use World Feed commentary if they wish.

SELCO: Survive Balkanization and Collapse with a Dual System "IndyWatch Feed Survival"
Balkanization is the fragmentation of a larger region or state into smaller regions or states, which may be hostile or uncooperative with one another. (Wikipedia)
Again the word Balkanization becoming popular. Actually, it has been often referenced for several years, ever since people understood that events that happened in the Balkans might happen in their neighborhood too in some form.
Usually people think about that word in the terms mentioned above, fragmentation into smaller parts that are not necessarily friendly to each other.
And that fragmentation might come in many forms that I described and discuss in a lot of articles. Back then, mostly people did not believe in it.
Rarely is it being discussed from one other angle, which is also very important from a survival point of view, and that is something that we might call the duality of the system.
Yes, we still have laws, systems, government, infrastructure, courts, and everything else that you have there in a democratic and functional country. But nothing works the way that should work, and it never did since the war ended, for 30 years almost.
Lets say you are living in the Balkans, and for example, your kid gets killed by a drunk driver. You may be sure he will stay out of jail if he has a relative in politics or enough money to bribe the judge. You are eating worse food in a lot of cases, toxic, or under the normal standards because normal standards are not existing here. The EU gets rid of cheap and low-quality food here.
If you are sick seriously, you are dead because the medical system works only on paper, and if you are not rich you are dead. Criminal organization members are infiltrated into the government and ruling parties (and vice versa), and there is no real difference between them.
If you are a journalist who writes about it you will disappear. If you are a common man who talks too loud about it you will lose your job.
If you plug yourself into the ruling party and obey, you might have a job with a salary just large enough to keep you fed enough not to die, and to keep you in constant horror, wondering are you gonna lose even that poor job and leave your kids hungry?
Now, that duality of the system means that the regular system is not working for you, so there is a parallel system to the existing one where you can swi...
He Wouldnt Get Off of an Elevator When a Mom With Seven Kids Demanded It. Is He a Jerk? "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
Im someone who really, really doesnt like crowded elevators, so theres no way in Hell Id be getting onto one that was as packed as the one youre gonna read about in this story.
But she mustve had her reasons for acting this way, right?
Check out her story below and let us know in the comments if you think she acted like an a**hole.
AITA for not taking the next elevator when a mom with 7 children demanded it of me?
A neighbour of mine has 7 children and they are all under the age of 9.
I have seen her many times, and she always demands people take the next elevator because she has kids who need to get home. She has physically shoved into the elevators and forced people out, including my elderly father.
I was on my way home from work I take public transit and she was on the bus with all kids. They were screaming and running up and down the aisle; basically making such a scene that the driver asked her to have the kids sit down before they get hurt.
Sure enough, one of the kids was spinning around one of the poles and bumped her head as we were going over the train tracks near my place and started screaming. She looked like she was physically okay, no blood, not even a red mark, but she screeched the rest of the ride to the building.
I was first in the building and hit the elevator button. She came in with her double stroller and her gaggle of children running around her as I stepped into the elevator and held the door for her. She told me that I would have to get out and wait for the next one.
I said excuse me? She heavy sighed at me and said my stroller wont fit in with you in here. Get out and take the next one. I refused, saying I would make myself as tiny as I could but I was stayi...

Metalhead Wont Stop Using Dopesmoker Listens as Unit of Time Measurement "IndyWatch Feed Satire"
DURHAM, N.C. Local stoner metal aficionado Ennis Woltham is reportedly perplexing those around him by constantly using Dopesmoker Listens as a new time measurement standard, sources confirmed while rolling their eyes.
Dude, its a perfectly acceptable unit of time. If youre running late, you just let the person know Ill be there in three listens of Dopsmoker. Or, say youre a cinephile, well then you can complain that back in my day, a movie got its point across in a Dopesmoker listen and a half. See what I mean? said Woltham, without a trace of irony. People act like Im out of my mind, but I can see it catching on within the week336 Dopesmoker listens, tops, even.
Acquaintances of Woltham were reportedly puzzled across the board, citing the lack of specificity and context.
The problem with it, besides the utter uselessness of the whole thing, is that he doesnt specify whether he means just the span of the Sleep song or the entire albumand if its the album, what pressing? said Wolthams coworker Warren Zarves. It might not seem like much of a difference, but those 10 or so extra minutes can, and do, make a difference. Especially in Ennis and my jobs as EMT ambulance drivers. Between you and me, hes caused a lot of extra bleeding across town.
Sleep bassist and singer Al Cisneros is reportedly wholeheartedly in favor of his fans quest.
Confusing or not, its a great branding opportunity for us. Glad to know an album we put out 20 yearsIm sorry let me do the math, here175,200 Dopesmoker listens ago can still be in the public eye, said Cisneros. I fully endorse what this guys trying to do. Although, I do hope he knows we have other albums, too. Why stop at time? Lets figure out how many Dopesmoker listens are in an ounce, or a milehow many Dopesmoker listens of flour do you put in a batch of cookies? Alright, Im pretty zooted.
It was revealed shortly after press time that Wolthams turntable has been stuck on 78 RPM for years, and he has been whole time.

Oh Youre a Kid Rock Fan? Sorry We Made It This Far "IndyWatch Feed Satire"
Hey dude, its been fun chatting with you tonight during the game I had no idea this local dive bar had cool regulars like you in it! I could always use a new beer buddy to watch sports with. Lets exchange numbers. Put yours on my phone and Ill call you so you can have mine.
Wait a second, is that your ringtone? Batwitdaba by Kid Rock? Ironically though, right? No, you genuinely like the music of Kid Rock and all that comes with it? Well shit, this was a mistake. Maybe dont save my number actually.
Youre probably wondering why liking Kid Rock means we cant be friends and probably assuming Im shallow and judgemental. Not true, except for the judgemental part. Allow me to enlighten you as to why your Kid Rock fandom makes it a FACT that we can never hang out.
Lets start with his music. His biggest hit All Summer Long sounds like you told ChatGPT to get blackout drunk and write a country rock song using a 6th graders vocabulary.
His 2021 song Dont Tell Me How To Live was so awful that listening to it almost gave me an aneurysm. Batwitdaba may have given me one.
And his political beliefs are even worse. Im not gonna run through his full track record of racist and homophobic rants because wed be here all night and I want to leave as soon as possible now, but hes had quite a few. He also canceled tour stops at venues with vaccine or mask requirements. Plus hes literally obsessed with the Confederate flag. Even If you relate to just a tiny smidge of that, we arent gonna hit it off. So lets save ourselves time, leave, and hopefully never see each other again.
Come to think of it, I probably should have realized you were a Kid Rock fan earlier. Somehow it didnt register when you walked up and said You never met a motherfucker quite like me. I just thought it was kinda random, like you wearing a dress hat and sunglasses inside the bar. Your sleeve of Norse tattoos is definitely looking more suspicious now that Im seeing it in the light. Yeah, lets pretend this never happened.

10 Ways to Impress Your Wifes New Boyfriend "IndyWatch Feed Satire"
Welp, it looks like your wifes new boyfriend is here to stay. And obviously, as long as Gregs going to be hanging around your house, eating your Frosted Flakes, and pleasuring your wife, youre going to want to get on his good side. Here are 10 surefire ways to impress him:
You spent the summer learning those moves to protect your Funko collection from burglars, but now you and your wife have got a big strong protector in Greg. A good way to impress this alpha is to show him the leg sweep you taught yourself from YouTube. Be careful you dont knock over a lamp again and Greg will be putty in your hands and might show you how to lift weights if you ask nicely.
Is Greg funny? Sort of. Are you the punchline of most of his jokes? Undoubtedly. Are you going to laugh your ass off every time he tries to be humorous? You bet your sweet bippy you are. After all, the way to a mans heart is through his funny bone, and what better way to impress your wifes boyfriend than showing you can laugh at yourself when Greg and his bros are making fun of your life while playing poker in your garage and youre serving them drinks?
Even though you believed you had gotten close to Andre, your wifes ex-boyfriend, after they split up he stopped returning your calls. This makes it easier to talk shit about him to Greg every chance you get. Try to forget that Andre bought you a Nintendo switch and gave you noise-canceling headphones for when he was plowing your wife. Instead, point out that he wasnt as tall as Greg and didnt satisfy your wife sexually the way Greg does.

8 Ways To Release The Pain Of Loving Someone You Cannot Be With "IndyWatch Feed Uncanny"
Love can be a wonderful thing, or love can be pure hell. For those who end up in relationships with people that they simply cannot stay with, it can be really hard to let go.
Its one thing to have someone dump you and then completely cut contact. Yes, it hurts, but at the same time, you know there is nothing you can do. However, when you are forced to break up with someone and make an active choice not to be with someone, it is a different kind of pain. Its not easy to tell your heart no. But, there are really good reasons to sometimes. Perhaps your partner cheated, or perhaps the relationship was just flat-out toxic. Whatever the reason is, here are 8 ways to let go and move on.
The way out is through, and while that might just sound like something people say, there is a lot of wisdom in those few words. At the end of the day, the more you try to run from your feelings or trick yourself into forgetting, the more you will have to face later on. Its better to go ahead and face it now and grieve the loss.
It might be tempting to sit around and wonder what would have happened if things would have worked out. What if I just go back? you might ask. I implore you, do not to go through these mental gymnastics, because it isnt worth your sanity.
It may seem like a tough call to make, but if a relationship is toxic or has no chance, do not cling to it. Dont go around this person, hoping for things to magically work one day. They wont. You have to cut contact if you expect to move on. Yes, there are exceptions to this, such as if you have kids with this person. However, if you dont have a REAL reason to be around this person, just dont.
Avoid situations that will cause you pain. If you know your ex will be at a party you are going to, dont go. If you know their best friend will be there, reminding you of your pain, just skip the party. You know what you can handle and what you cannot.
Go ahead and allow yourself to forget about getting closure. I hate to say it, but you arent going to get it. If you really just cannot let go without getting closure, write a goodbye letter and burn it.
Build yourself a support system of friends and family that you trust. Go to them and ask them to remind you of why you left in the first place when you are feeling like backstepping.
You need to be honest with yourself about why this relationship had to end. It may be hard, but you need to be brutally honest with yourself. Sit down and write down why you cannot be with them, and be blunt about it.

Woman Asks If Shes Wrong for Cancelling a Trip After Finding Her Husband Hid Her Daughters Passport? "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
If theres one thing the internet has taught me, its that there are way too many people hanging around in terrible relationships for far, far too long.
I think youll agree this OP falls into that category after you read about how her husband is treating her daughter shortly into their marriage.
She claims hes a man of god, but as theyre attempting to blend their family, shes noticed that he complains about her daughter often. Shes either not trying hard enough to spend time with his kids, not watching his kids when he asks, or is making his kids uncomfortable with her attitude.
My husband and I have been together for 3 years. He has 3 kids from his previous relationship and I have one. Shes the oldest (17). Hes a dedicated man, puts God first and loves everyone.
My husband always complains that my daughter doesnt spend time with her step siblings or him but she has reasons for that and that is school, health issues and work.
She does her best to spend as much time with them as she can. but she on the other hand complains that her stepdad tells her to basically take on the role of a babysitter whenever shes with her stepsiblings.
My husband denied that and said that my daughter was making up excuses to not have to spend time with his kids.
In an attempt to help the family bond, OP booked a vacation for everyone. Her husband wanted to exclude her daughter, since staying home alone would make her happy, but OP told him to knock it off.
For this issue, I figured that a family trip is what the family need to get together and spend more time around each others.
My husband liked the idea but said that his kids are now uncomfortable around my d...

The Government May Stop Issuing Social Security Payments After the Debt Limit is Hit "IndyWatch Feed Health"
by Mark Hulbert

Excerpts:
Theres a very real possibility the government will stop issuing Social Security payments after the debt limit is hit.
Scary as that prospect is, however, the alternative might be even worse: A little-known provision of a 1996 law could be interpreted to allow the Social Security trust fund to be used not only to pay Social Securitys monthly checks but also to circumvent the debt limit and pay all the governments otherwise overdue bills.
If that happens, any short-term relief to Social Security recipients would come with a potentially huge long-term price tag: The Social Security trust fund could be exhausted much sooner than currently projectedin just a couple of years, in fact.
These dire possibilities emerge from an analysis conducted by Steve Robinson, the chief economist for The Concord Coalition, a group that describes itself as a nonpartisan organization dedicated to educating the public and finding common sense solutions to our nations fiscal policy challenges.
An issue brief he wrote, entitled Social Securitys Debt Limit Escape Clause, is available on the groups website.
Let me hasten to add that Robinson is not advocating that the Social Security trust fund be used in this way. In an interview, he instead stressed that he wrote his issue brief because we need to be aware not only that this escape clause exists but that its use could have unintended consequences. Though hardly anyone outside Washington knows that it even exists, and relatively few on Capitol Hill, the Treasury Department and the Social Security Administration are very much aware of it.

Science Explains What Happens During Menopause "IndyWatch Feed Fertility"
Most women experience menopause between the ages of 45 and 55. Described as the final menstrual period, which is typically declared final after periods have stopped for 12 consecutive months, menopause is a natural life stage that occurs when the ovaries have reduced function. Its associated with lower levels of estrogen and other hormones, and marks the period when fertility ends.1
Some women experience few or no symptoms prior to and during menopause, while others experience physical and mental disturbances for months or years. As noted by the North American Menopause Society (NAMS), Each womans menopause experience is different.2
Technically, menopause is the moment when ovulation and menstruation stop, coinciding with a drop in estrogen levels.3 However, the process leading up to that moment begins years earlier, during a stage known as perimenopause or the menopausal transition. This stage, which may begin around the ages of 45 to 55, lasts an average of seven years, but this varies significantly, sometimes spanning a decade or more.
If a woman enters perimenopause at age 40 or younger, its considered early or premature perimenopause. This occurs in about 1% of women, for reasons unknown.4
Each womans journey is different, as during perimenopause, production of the hormones estrogen and progesterone, which are produced by the ovaries, varies.5 As estrogen levels decrease, it can lead to a variety of symptoms. According to the National Institute on Aging:6
The menopausal transition affects each woman uniquely and in various ways. The body begins to use energy differently, fat cells change, and women may gain weight more easily. You may experience changes in your bone or heart health, your body shape and composition, or your physical function.
Sometime during the mid-40s, shifting hormone levels typically begin, as egg cells, which are surrounded by granulosa cells that produce hormones, are reduced in numbers. During this time, eggs are released less frequently, leading to irregular menstrual cycles.
Perimenopause, which means around menopause, occurs as ovulation becomes less predictable, leading to changes in menstrual cycles, including longer or shorter intervals between periods, changes in flow and skipping some periods. As noted by the Mayo Clinic:...
Special Report: A Plastic Tide "IndyWatch Feed Health"
Editors Note: This article is a reprint. It was originally published February 15, 2020.
The catastrophe of plastic pollution is growing worse. Single-use plastic bottles and bags, food packaging, fishing nets and biosolids are turning the world's oceans, seas and beaches into tragic wastelands. Microplastics from artificial clothing fibers and microbeads in personal care products add to the devastation.
Plastic is everywhere. Bottled water, grocery bags, shower curtains, garbage can liners and kitchen utensils are just a few of the ways plastic has made its way into every aspect of our daily lives. Our throwaway mentality, bred and fed by the mass production of plastics, has created a pollution problem that now threatens the very future of humanity.
It threatens fish, birds and water supplies, including still-pristine areas completely free from industrialization. The world now produces 299 million tons of plastics a year, most of which ends up in the oceans.
Biosolids spread on cropland increase the problem as they too contain microplastics. Once called "sewage sludge," biosolids are widely used as natural fertilizer in the U.S. and other countries.
In addition to plastics, biosolids contain PCBs, dioxins, pharmaceuticals, hormones, surfactants, heavy metals and disease-causing pathogens. A hard-hitting documentary from Sky News, A Plastic Tide," showcases the urgent problem of plastic pollution and what some activists are doing about it.
The ocean where life on Earth began is being turned into a synthetic soup so begins a dramatic Sky News documentary, A Plastic Tide," narrated by science correspondent Thomas Moore.1 As Moore traverses from Mumbai, India, to Plymouth, London, the Netherlands, Belgium, Indian islands and Scotland, even the most ardent environmentalist will be shocked at the plastic toll.
"We are sleep walking into a catastrophe," says Moore as Afroz Shah, an activist and beach cleaner, escorts him through Mumbai streets to show him the extent of plastic pollution on a local beach. Shah and Moore agree that it is not a beach at all but a dump site, as they wade through the plastic waste and wearing yellow protective gloves. "This isn't litter dropped on the beach; it's come from the sea," says Moore.
Shah, says the documentary started the "world's biggest beach clean" with 4,000 tons of trash cleared. He says he remembers the polluted beach as a pristine swimming area...
ChatGPT Friend or Foe? "IndyWatch Feed Health"
In a February 7, 2023, video report (above), investigative journalist Glenn Greenwald reviewed the promise, and threat, posed by ChatGPT,1,2 the "latest and greatest" chatbot powered by artificial intelligence (AI).
"GPT" stands for "generative pretrained transformer," and the "chat" indicates that it's a chatbot. The first GPT platform was end of November 2022, and it took internet users by storm, acquiring more than 1 million users in the first five days.3 Two months after its release, there were more than 30 million users.4
ChatGPT uses "machine learning" statistical pattern finding in huge datasets to generate human-like responses in everyday language to any question asked of it. It basically works by predicting what the next word in a sentence ought to be based on previous examples found in the massive amounts of data that's been fed into it.
Using ChatGPT has been described as "having a text conversation with a friend,"5 and is predicted to transform the "virtual friends" landscape by adding literally nonexistent "friends." In other words, AI systems like this one may eventually replace many of the human-to-human conversations we have on a daily basis, for better or worse.
It is also highly likely these chatbots will also replace conventional search engines, and this, unfortunately, could easily transform our world into something straight out of the 2006 sci-fi-comedy "Idiocracy."
And, while OpenAI, the creator of this groundbreaking AI chatbot, is a private company, we should not linger under the illusion that they're not part of the control network that will ultimately be ruled and run by a technocratic One World Government, because they absolutely are. Without question.
Already, Google search has dramatically reduced the number of query responses you get during search. In the past, a query would generate hundreds if not thousands of pages of listings that fit the keywords entered. Today, you won't get more than five or six pages, even though in many cases there are still hundreds of thousands of corresponding webpages.
If a webpage is not on that short-list, the only way you'll ever get to it is if you know its web address. In short, the vast majority of information relating to natural health on the web is now completely censored and...
What Happens if Ether Is a Security? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

The Censored Generation "IndyWatch Feed Survival"
This article was originally published by Thomas Buckley at The Mises Institute.
Incredulity. Astonishment. Disgust. Anger.
It is these feelingsamongst othersthat describe the general reaction to the revelations of the Twitter Files and other egregious episodes of Big Tech censorship of the electronic public square.
The implicit deal with companies like Twitter, Facebook, Google, etc. is very simple: we will look at your ads if you give us a service for free. The deal did not include censorship.
But what is society to expect when those doing the censorship seem to see absolutely nothing wrong with it, and that it didnt even occur to them that what they were engaged inoften at the specific request of governmental agencieswas at all a problem?
For a generation that has grown up with speech codes, enforced nicety, automatic deference to the feelings of others, and has been swaddled in bubble wrap against the vagaries of life, censoring of speech is not only not an ethical leap, but it is also the right thing to do.
Couple that with a permanent, purposeful self-infantilization that makes them defer to (or incoherently rage at for NOT censoring speech), anyone they perceive to be a grown-upsuch as former FBI bigwig James Baker at Twitterand the stage is not only set, but the terrifying end of the play writes itself.
This generation is not necessarily Y, X, or millennialits a bit of a mix of those aged from about sixteen to about thirty-six, numbers that will, sadly, most likely become lower and lower on the low end and higher and higher on the high end as time marches on.
It is a subcohort (I thought it best to learn their language) of people who have much in commonfirst, they have come from the now de rigueur smaller families, hence they do not have the thick skin and personal combat skills that one acquires when one has siblings.
They have usually grown up relatively comfortably and are uncomfortable with confrontation. They went to the right schools, but they do not understand how other people can think differently. They are over-credentialed but actually vastly undereducated. They feel twinges of guilt when the grocery store delivers but are absolutely certain that a twenty-five-minute trip to the store is a waste of their valuable time.
While there are many, many examples, two events stand out as exemplary moments for the censored generation. First, this rather well-known incident from Yale University in which a college student is angrily demanding to be treated like a child, and this chilling tale of a professor struggling to deal with the...

Silicon Valley Bank became the second FDIC-insured bank to collapse in 3 days today. They are reportedly the 16th largest bank in the U.S., and the largest bank to collapse since the 2008 financial meltdown, and the second largest bank to ever collapse in the U.S.
While it was still not the main headline news this morning in the corporate media, a glance at the headlines as I began to write this article shows that it is apparently now getting the headline news it should receive, as bank runs are starting, and some banks suspended trading today to stop the carnage.

She Wont Help Out Her Homeless Parents. Is She Going Too Far? "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
Where do you draw the line when it comes to helping out family members?
It can definitely be a very touchy subjectand it can be even more complicated when it comes to parents.
So is this woman an a**hole for not helping out her homeless parents?
Read on to see what happened and let us know what you think in the comments.
AITA for not helping my parents when they are homeless?
My parents are terrible with money.
When I(27F) was little my father gambled away all the saving about $100,000 in risky penny stocks which got wiped out in 2008 and we were forced to move into a single bedroom in a house for the 3 of us.
Then my mom fell for an MLM and you can image what happened, they lost the down payment to the house they were saving for. I begged them not to sign up for it since I saw it was clearly a scam and showed them evidence it was and they just laughed at me and ignored me.
They lost about $28,000 from that. Then recently they fall for a college signup scam and lost $32,000. They werent signing up for college they just needed a loan and tried to go though a private broker who promised to get them a school loan that they would use on whatever they wanted.
I went with them to see the broker and told them it was a scam and they ignored me. So basically they were trying to scam the government and got scammed instead. I actually tried to pry the pen away from my father hands when I got desperate as he was writing down his bank info and SSN and he screamed at me I was embarrassing him and did it anyway.
Again they lost money and now they are homeless because their credit is c**p and they can barely afford even c**ppy apartments. They probably cant get that money back since they have little documentation on the broker and what he promised. Now they live in their c...
