Shiba Inu Whale Accumulates 261 Billion Shib Tokens In Just Three Days "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
A top SHIB whale added $1.18 million worth of Shiba Inu within 24 hours. Data from Etherscan.io reveals that this whale ranked as the nineteenth largest SHIB holder accumulating 140 Billion SHIB.
The whale acquired the SHIB tokens in two separate transactions marking its second massive accumulation within 72 hours.
Shiba Inu network and users engaged in massive SHIB burn events in 2023. The burning mechanism aims to reduce excess tokens and boost SHIBs price. However, no notable price increase has occurred since the token burn events.
Nevertheless, the top SHIB whales are accumulating the tokens ahead of the Shibarium launch and a possible price increase for the asset.

BLAZE token has been identified as the largest SHIB burner in recent times on the ecosystem.
A member of Shiba Inus marketing team, LUCIE, shared her thoughts on the proposed mainnet launch of Shibarium in a Tweet.
Shibarium is a Layer-2 (L2) scaling solution created for the Shiba Inu ecosystem. Its launch date is highly speculative, with several dates proposed in the past.
However, LUCIE stated that she guessed the launch date would be in Q3 of 2023, while Shiba Inu founder Shytoshi Kusama projects in July.
The exact launch date remains a mystery and LUCIE believes the Shibarium Mainnet Launch will happen between the second and third quarters of 2023.
Additionally, she believes that Shibas team remains confident about the launch, with multiple teams working on it and exploring Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration.
LUCIE emphasized that the testing process is crucial and security audits are necessary before its launch. She explained further, that if tests go wrong, the Shibarium mainnet release will delay.
Shiba Inu Price OutlookDespite the recent announcements concerning Shibariums launch, SHIB did not record much price fluctuation. It traded at $0.000009967 on May 1, 2023, before moving to $0.00001002 on May 2. However, by May 4, its price dropped to $0.000009896, losing some of its earlier gains.

Fucked for Life: Bladees Paintings "IndyWatch Feed Literature"
This summer, were launching a series called Eavesdroppingwhich is more or less about what it sounds like. Were asking writers to take their notebooks to interesting events or places; theyll record what they see, but mostly what they hear. In the first of the series, Elena Saavedra Buckley goes to a TriBeCa gallery opening for an exhibit of collaborative paintings by two Swedish hip-hop artists, and surveys the scene.
The art show I was going to was risky to google, because it was called Fucked for Life and took place in the basement of a gallery called the Hole. It had been raining, and the humidity followed us downstairs, where the low-ceilinged room felt like the hull of a ship. The paintings reminded me of more focused, imaginative versions of the kind of thing your friends stoner older brother might make in his roomthey had barely shaped demonic faces at their centers, orbited by tagged abstractions and blooms of neon, all lacquered and dripping. Some sat in ironic-seeming ornate gold frames; others hung against long stretches of loose fabric layered with graffiti, which had been made the day before and seemed to be releasing damp chemical wafts.
This was the private opening of new collaborative paintings by Bladee and Varg2, whose real names are Benjamin Reichwald and Jonas Rnnbergtwo Swedish artists affiliated with a Nordic brand of underground hip-hop thats been gaining steam since the mid-aughts. The two collectives at its center are the Sad Boyshelmed by the fairly famous Yung Leanand Drain Gang, which was started by Bladee. I didnt know much about Varg2...

Jean Baptiste Vranys Wildly Influential Cephalopod Chromolithographs Depict Sea Creatures in Stunning Opalescent Color "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
In 1851, French pharmacist-turned-naturalist Jean Baptiste Vrany (18001865) published a collection of illustrations that captured the subtle colors and tonal variances of cephalopods. A class of mollusks that includes squid, octopus, cuttlefish, and nautilus, cephalopods have pronounced, often bulbous heads, symmetric bodies, and arms and tentacles known to produce ink. The marine creatures became a source of fascination for Vrany after a research expedition with Franco Andrea Bonelli, a preeminent ornithologist and entomologist, who helped usher in the young naturalists interest in zoology.
Some of Vranys most-recognized contributions to natural history include the chromolithographslithographs with several layers of colorreleased in his book Mollusques Mditeranens: observs, decrits, figurs et chromolithographies daprs le vivant, or Mediterranean molluscs: observed, described, figured and chromolithographs from life. The volume includes 41 illustrations that are rendered in exacting detail and exemplify Vranys unparalleled understanding of color. Bitcoin Exchange Inflows Mostly Coming From Loss Holders, Weak Hands Exiting? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
On-chain data suggests a majority of the Bitcoin exchange inflows are currently coming from investors holding their coins at a loss.
According to data from the on-chain analytics firm Glassnode, the short-term holders are mostly contributing to these loss inflows. The exchange inflow is an indicator that measures the total amount of Bitcoin thats currently flowing into the wallets of centralized exchanges.
Generally, investors deposit to these platforms whenever want to sell, so a large amount of inflows can be a sign that a selloff is going on in the BTC market right now. Low values of the metric, on the other hand, imply holders may not be participating in much selling at the moment, which can be bullish for the price.
In the context of the current discussion, the exchange inflow itself isnt of relevance; a related metric called the exchange inflow volume profit/loss bias is. As this indicators name already suggests, it tells us whether the inflows going to exchanges are coming from profit or loss holders currently.
When this metric has a value greater than 1, it means the majority of the inflow volume contains coins that their holders had been carrying at a profit. Similarly, values under the threshold imply a dominance of the loss volume.
Now, here is a chart that shows the trend in the Bitcoin exchange inflow profit/loss bias over the last few years:
As shown in the above graph, the Bitcoin exchange inflow volume profit/loss bias has had a value above 1 for most of the ongoing rallies that started back in January of this year.
This suggests that most of the exchange inflows in this period have come from the profit holders. This naturally makes sense, as any rally generally entices a large number of holders to sell and harvest their gains.
There have been a couple of exceptional instances, however. The first was back in March when the assets price plunged below the $20,000 level. The bias in the market shifted towards loss selling then, implying that some investors who bought around the local top had started capitulating.
A similar pattern has also occurred recently, as the cryptocurrencys price has stumbled below the $27,000 level. Following this plunge, the indicators value has come down to just 0.70.
Further data from Glassnode reveals that the bias of the...

A Pair of Contrasting Prints by Seb Lester Gilds Popular Aphorisms in Elegant Lettering "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
Lewes-based artist Seb Lester (previously) vacillates between the maximal and minimal in a new pair of aphoristic prints. Die-stamped in gold ink, the calligraphic works are studies of the relationship between medium and message, all filtered through elegantly gilded lettering.
Carpe Diem, the popular Latin maxim to seize the day, is the ornate of the pair and embedded with swords, flowers, and elaborate motifs. Ive drawn from many influences, including Victorian Memorials, Medieval Cathedral Inscriptions, and the work of the finest Writing Masters of the 18th century, Lester says. The letterforms are all highly ornamental and drawn especially for the projectwarm Lombardic Capitals paired with a softened Textura lowercase.
As a counterpart, the other print is more austere, reading Illegitimi Non Carborundum, which roughly translates to dont let the bastards grind you down. Using bespoke Roman Monumental Capitals depicted as if lovingly carved and gilded in marble into a magnificent ancient monument, the mock-Latin phrase is graceful and refined, a contrast to the otherwise audacious message.
Both limited-edition prints are available in Lesters shop, and you can find more of his calligraphy on Instagram.

Altcoins Across The Sector Are Underbought: Santiment "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
On-chain data from Santiment suggests that altcoins across the entire cryptocurrency sector may be underbought right now.
According to data from the on-chain analytics firm Santiment, cryptocurrency assets have become underbought as traders are now capitulating following a failed price rebound.
The relevant indicator here is the MVRV (Market Value to Realized Value), which measures the ratio between the market cap and the realized cap of a given cryptocurrency.
Here, the realized cap refers to a capitalization model for BTC where the value of any coin in the circulating supply is assumed to be not the current spot price, but the price at which it was last transacted on the blockchain.
This model aims to calculate a sort of fair value for the asset. As the MVRV compares the market cap (that is, the current price) with the real value of the cryptocurrency, it can provide hints about whether the price is currently overinflated or not.
Santiment has defined an opportunity zone and a danger zone for this indicator. As their names already imply, the asset in question becomes underpriced when the metric is in the former area, while it becomes overpriced in the latter one.
Here is a chart that shows the trend in the divergence of the MVRV from these zones for the various altcoins in the sector:
Whenever the MVRV divergence has a value of 1 or more, the indicator is said to be inside the opportunity zone. Similarly, the danger area occurs below a value of -1.
While these are the two extreme zones, the metric being firmly inside either the positive or the negative zone (but not hitting either of these thresholds), still signals slight underbought or overpriced conditions, respectively.
This means that the chances of bullish rebounds can become greater whenever the indicator enters positive territory. From the chart, its visible that the vast majority of the coins in the digital asset sector are at least inside the positive territory at the moment.
This would imply that these coins may have become underpriced recently. Some of the altcoins are also outright inside the opportunity zone, suggesting that they may be offering low-risk buying opportunities right now.

Tax Attacks Wont Kill Bitcoin: Regulators Must Learn To Accept New Technology "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
This is an opinion editorial by Conor Chepenik, an organizer for the MassAdoption Bitcoin meetup.
Congressman Brad Sherman's recent tweet attacking Bitcoiners as "tax evaders" is a prime example of how Bitcoin has become a mainstream phenomenon. It's ironic that politicians like Sherman, who have sworn an oath to uphold the Constitution and the presumption of innocence, are so quick to label Bitcoin supporters as criminals without any evidence. Such remarks undermine the fundamental principles of justice and fairness that underpin our legal system.
The fact that politicians like Sherman are attacking Bitcoin serves as a signal to those on the fence that there may be something to this "freedom money" that is constantly under attack by those who are corrupt and compromised by legacy systems. In a way, even those who attack Bitcoin may be unwittingly working for its success and adoption.
And clearly, politicians are expecting Bitcoiners to shoulder some kind of tax burden that they do not impose on anyone else.
Imagine if a politician tried to tax people for using computational power to do math or use English to express their views. They would be ridiculed and mocked because, on top of that being an insane policy, both of these subjects are essential to a functional society.
Instead of imposing arbitrary taxes, the government should focus on creating a regulatory environment that supports innovation and economic growth. Unfortunately, in opposition to that seemingly-obvious edict, the Biden administration has proposed a 30% tax on Bitcoin mining, which is not only unfair, but also hypocritical to the values that make the United States great.
If a market participant has paid for their energy, they should be free to use it as they wish. So, why is Bitcoin mining being targeted when other industries, such as pornography, video games or gambling, also use energy to allow people to indulge in their vices online? Im not vying for a tax on other industries. I firmly believe that if a market participant has paid for their energy they can do whatever they want with it. My intent is to point out that this proposal seems to be a clear example of government overreach and intervention in the private sector.
And it's not just Bitcoin mining that is being targeted. It is the entire Bitcoin network. When new and innovative ideas challenge the status quo, both humans and technology can exhibit resistance or em...

AITA for telling my best friend his GF is disgusting?
I (22f) have been friends with Danny (22m) since high school and he recently moved in with his current gf Lucy (22f).
They had a housewarming party on Friday and Lucy spent most of the night dancing with her own friends who are very like her (excitable extroverted e.g) and dragging Danny away from his conversations with us (his friends) to dance even though hes more like us (introverted not party animals)
Later Danny was being quiet so I asked if he was okay and he said just tired, but he just kept watching Lucy dancing and then said something in her ear the next time she came over and she just shook her head and laughed at him.
After she went back to her friends I asked if it was bothering him how she was behaving and he asked me to explain. I mentioned the attention seeking dancing and the fact she was wearing something really revealing even though other guys were at this party. Danny said it didnt bother him then sat with a moody face.
At the end of the night Lucy sat down with us and started chatting non stop about how amazing the party had been. I pointed out jokingly Danny obviously wasnt enjoying himself since he looked miserable, and Danny told her I was worried he was jealous because of her outfit.
Lucy ruffled his hair (which he h**es) and said he was quiet because he loved her outfit so much he couldnt wait for us all to leave so he could drag her to bed. I thou...

Apocalyptic Art
Day 4 of the 365 Days Art Challenge.
'This is the way the world ends, not with a bang, but a whimper." T.S Eliot
For centuries, artists and creatives alike have depicted the Apocalypse, which is the fantastical, unimaginable end of the world and all life on it. At some point it is going to happen, maybe about 5 million years away when the sun burns out, so perhaps it is this truth that has artists thinking of what this end may look like. Since it will happen, down the track.
Recently it has felt like humanity was in the midst of it with the advent of Covid, but also with the devastation that climate change has been and is inflicting on the land and people globally. It is very easy to start to think of the end, grim as that may sound.
When I had created yesterday's challenge, even though I wasn't happy with the art work, I was very much intrigued by the colours in the background which reminded me of an apocalyptic feel, vibe. So today's challenge I set myself the task of creating an art piece that may illustrate that to some extent.
I have to add that the art works are created very quickly and are rough, but what I am liking is the fact that other ideas are able to be generated from these pieces. Ideas that will develop into more substantiative works. In this case, Apocalyptic Feel, May 26, 2023. Ink on paper. I wanted to incorporate the warm colours of reds, oranges, pinks, purples and a splash of yellow for the sun. These powerful colours embody the end, a...

With the recent downward trend in SHIBs value, a staggering 1 million addresses now find themselves in the red zone, facing losses in their investment.
In the context of crypto trading, the term red zone often refers to a situation where a digital currency is experiencing a significant decline or negative price movement. It is commonly associated with bearish market conditions or a downtrend.
This turn of events has sparked concern and curiosity among cryptocurrency enthusiasts and market observers alike, as they analyze the factors behind the price decline and its implications for the future of Shiba Inu and its large investor base.
In the midst of a volatile cryptocurrency market, the price of Shiba Inu (SHIB) on CoinGecko currently sits at a meager $0.00000852. Recent data indicates that SHIB experienced a modest 0.4% rally within the past 24 hours, but endured a gradual 2.0% decline over the span of seven days.

Director Jonathan Demme, an Academy Award-winner, deftly weaves this endearing tale of love in bloom from Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.s story.
While the video quality is grainy, the movie is still significant for serving as an early career vehicle for Sarandon, Walken and director Demme. This isnt exactly Before They Were Stars after all, by 1982, Walken had already won an Oscar for The Deer Hunter,
Sarandon had already starred in Rocky Horror and been nominated for an Oscar for Atlantic City, and Demme, although still a decade away from his biggest work, had already directed the acclaimed Melvin & Howard.

Three men in Iran accused of killing three members of the countrys security forces were executed by the Islamic Republic on May 19th, sparking massive protests across the country and drawing condemnation from various governments and human rights organizations.
The Tasnim news agency and the website of Irans judiciary confirmed the executions of 30-year-old Majid Kazemi, 36-year-old Saleh Mirhashemi, and 37-year-old Saeed Yaqoubi on the dawn of May 19th at the Dastgerd prison in the city of Isfahan, located in central Iran.

The Associated Press (@AP) May 19, 2023
The three men were charged with the crime of enmity against God after being accused of being responsible for the deaths of two members of the Basiji paramilitary force and a law enforcement officer during anti-government protests on November 16, 2022. However, the Iranian government failed to show definitive evidence that would link the three men to the incident.
Their families gathered in front of the Dastgerd prison, worried about the safety of their relatives. Crowds also gathered outside the facility as early as the night of May 18th as news of their imminent execution spread.

Uncovering Why a Muslim Set A Mosque on Fire to Protest Homelessness "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"
A homeless man in St. Paul, Minnesota, was arrested on May 17th for setting a mosque on fire. He told authorities he burned the building to protest homelessness.
Ya Allah. This is the fourth arson attack on our community in less than a month. My thoughts are with the Muslim community in St. Paul and the whole Twin Cities metro. We are stronger than fear. We will not be terrorized. https://t.co/UgxPc6tYsX

42-year-old Said Murekezi is charged with second-degree arson and second-degree burglary of a religious building for burning and breaking into the Oromo American Tawhid Islamic Center. Hes also facing fifth-degree drug possession charges, as authorities found methamphetamine on him when he was arrested.
Found footage allegedly showed Murekezi on the morning of May 17th enter the mosque through a broken window. After ten minutes, he emerged from the buildings east side, and smoke was seen coming from the mosque. Investigators used facial recognition technology to match the found footage to Murekezi.
The arson was the sixth attack against a mosque in Minnesota this year alone. These acts of arson and vandalism prompted Muslim leaders and government officials to call for unity with the Muslim community.

Star Tribune (@StarTribune) May 18, 2023
Although people initially thought the arson at the Tawhid Islamic Center, which was last used as a mosque in 2021 and is now used as an office space, was an anti-Muslim attack, documents revealed that Murekezi was a Muslim and that he burned the religious building because he was upset that Muslims and other Americans slept out in the cold without being helped by the government or the Islamic center.
Murekezi also told authorities that he was glad he was arrested because if he werent caught, he would torch another one or a "church." Documents a...
Holy Hijinks: How One Lawmaker's Bible Prank Turned into an Ethics Inquiry! "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"
An Arizona representative, who is also a minister, is under investigation by the states House of Representatives for staging a prank involving the Bible.
State Representative Stephanie Stahl Hamilton, a Democrat and a Presbyterian Minister, is facing an ethics complaint for her playful prank, where camera footage saw her hiding Bibles from her fellow representatives in unusual places, like under the table or inside a refrigerator.
Arizona lawmaker caught stealing Bibles from statehouse's members-only lounge. https://t.co/bPwa3Rt2Hu pic.twitter.com/PqQZpZEAo9
Fox News (@FoxNews) April 26, 2023
The Republican leadership in Arizonas House of Representatives caught wind of Hamiltons stunts, so they installed hidden cameras in the building to catch who was doing the prank. When Hamilton was seen hiding her colleagues Bibles, not everyone in the House was amused with her antics.
In fact, three Republican representatives, Justin Heap, David Marshall, and Lupe Diaz, filed an ethics complaint against Hamilton. They accused her of theft, disorderly conduct under House rules, and creating a hostile work environment, violating state and federal laws that protect workers from religious discrimination.
"We, and other members of the Arizona House who cherish our faith and hold the Bible in reverence, do not see Representative Stahl Hamilton's disrespect of scripture as playful in any regard," the complaint said.
Because the House of Representatives is not a judicial court, an ethics complaint cannot file criminal charges against anyone. However, the inquiry can lead to a vote within the legislature, resulting in Hamiltons censure or expulsion.
"Something of this magnitude that's made national news, I think it's only wise to allow the person that has the claim held against him to come and speak about it," Joseph Chaplik, a Republican state representative who also heads the Houses Ethics Committee, said regarding the prank. "Due process, let them...

MATIC Price Prediction: Polygon Aims Recovery To $1 "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
MATIC price is recovering from the $0.82 support zone. Polygon might rise further but there is a major barrier forming near the $1.00 zone.
In the past few days, Polygons price saw a steady decline from well above $1.00. MATIC declined below the $0.900 support to move into a bearish zone.
A low is formed near $0.8206 and the price is now attempting a recovery wave, similar to Bitcoin and Ethereum. The price was able to climb above $0.850. Besides, there was a break above a key bearish trend line with resistance near $0.880 on the 4-hour chart of the MATIC/USD pair.
It broke the 23.6% Fib retracement level of the downward move from the $1.017 swing high to the $0.8206 low. MATIC price is now trading above $0.85 and the 100 simple moving average (4 hours). It is now facing resistance near the $0.90 level.
If there is an upside break above the $0.90 resistance level, the price could continue to recover. The next major resistance is near $0.95 or the 61.8% Fib retracement level of the downward move from the $1.017 swing high to the $0.8206 low.

They Put Meat in a Tofu Dish at a Potluck. Did They Act Like a Jerk? "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
To me, this sounds like a simple misunderstanding
But you know how worked up people get about what they eat, especially vegetarians.
But thats just my opinion!
Read this persons story and see if you think they acted like an a**hole or did nothing wrong.
Take a look!
AITA for putting meat in a tofu dish?
This happened at a potluck. I brought a dish that was tofu stirfried with minced pork, ginger and spring onions. Similar to mapo tofu but not spicy.
Everything was fine except when someone asked me if my dish was halal, I said no, it has pork. Thats when Jen overheard and freaked out that she ate meat. And it turns out a lot of other vegetarians ate my dish assuming it was vegetarian.
For the rest of the party, Ive had so many people(including non-vegetarians) tell me Im an AH for putting meat in a vegetarian dish. But this is a dish I grew up with, tofu for me is just an ingredient, not strictly a meat substitute. Also, no one asked me if my dish was vegetarian.
So am I the AH here or are people just overreacting?
Check out how folks reacted on Reddit.
This person said they are NTA and these folks never bothered to ask if it was vegetarian.

Ethereums price extended its decline below the $1,800 zone. ETH even declined below the $1,780 level before the bulls appeared near $1,760, similar to Bitcoin.
A low was formed near $1,761 and the price is currently attempting a recovery wave. It is trading above the 23.6% Fib retracement level of the key decline from the $1,872 swing high to the $1,761 low. Ether is now trading below $1,820 and the 100-hourly Simple Moving Average.
There is also a major bearish trend line forming with resistance near $1,818 on the hourly chart of ETH/USD. The trend line is close to the 50% Fib retracement level of the key decline from the $1,872 swing high to the $1,761 low.

Are We Asking Too Much of Public Art? "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
Have you ever been staggered by public art? In 2020, I visited the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts to cover an exhibition of Edward Hoppers work. I spent a couple of days in the city of Richmond visiting other art spaces and walking along Monument Avenue, which at the time featured four bronze statues representing J.E.B. Stuart, Stonewall Jackson, Jefferson Davis, and Matthew Fontaine Maury. I was genuinely surprised at how high off the ground they stood on their marble plinths and astride their horses, how aesthetically venerated these tributes to Confederate defectors were, like conquerors who could never be subdued (though they were vanquished just a few months later in the foment following George Floyds murder). Encountering these while walking along the avenue just twice during my visit, I understood what people mean when they say that they feel tyrannized and preyed on by these inanimate objects. Though they dont move, they move us, the viewers.

Avalanche (AVAX) Ecosystem Poised For An Explosion, Heres Why "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
The Avalanche (AVAX) ecosystem is gaining increasing attention in the world of blockchain and decentralized finance (DeFi). Despite not being as well known as other chains, such as Ethereum or Binance Smart Chain, Avalanches unique consensus mechanism and interoperability with other chains make it a compelling option for developers and users alike.
With a promising Total Value Locked (TVL) and strong engagement from users and developers, the Avalanche ecosystem is on the cusp of significant growth and innovation.
According to DeFi researcher Wacy, the Avalanche ecosystem is on the verge of blooming, and there are several reasons behind its recent increase in popularity. While many are focused on the new Layer 2 solutions, Wacy suggests that the potential of Avalanche should not be overlooked.
One important measure of a chains success is Total Value Locked, and despite the token price dropping over 80%, the TVL for $AVAX has only decreased by 50%. This indicates continued interest in the chain and serves as a positive indicator of its future potential.
In addition to TVL, other metrics such as daily active addresses and daily transactions show good growth, indicating strong engagement from users. The number of contracts and deployers is also a powerful indicator of interest in a project, and this metric also shows strong engagement from developers.
Furthermore, Wacy notes that The Avalanche community is also growing, with increasing followers on Twitter and a high level of Twitter mentions over the past 7 days. These basic metrics may be overlooked by some, but they provide valuable insights into the potential of the Avalanche ecosystem.
Avalanche Emerges As A Hidden Gem For Developers and UsersAccording to Wacy, as the Avalanche ecosystem continues to gain attention in the world of blockchain and decentralized finance, several projects are emerging as potential main narratives that could see a significant rise during this heyday.
One such project is Trader Joe, which is currently the numbe...

When Is A Token Coming For Coinbases Base L2? Heres What The Roadmap Says "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
Crypto exchange Coinbase announced and launched the testnet for its very own Layer 2 blockchain called Base earlier in February 2023. Since the launch, there have been speculations about the exchange launching a token for the L2, which has now been clarified in the newly released roadmap for Base.
Following the launch of Base, crypto exchange Coinbase made it known that there were no plans to actually launch a token for the Layer 2 blockchain. Nevertheless, this did not stop the speculations, but with the release of its roadmap, the team seems to have put an abrupt halt to all rumors regarding a token.
The roadmap which was published on Wednesday on the Coinbase website clearly states that Base has no plans to issue a network token. Instead, it will continue to operate like most other Ethereum Layer 2 blockchains, using ETH as a way to carry out transactions and pay for gas fees.
As the L2 moves closer toward a mainnet launch, the team is rather focusing on builders on the chain. It is also looking toward upgrading Optimisms Bedrock, as well as all of the reviews and audits while making sure the testate remains stable.
Weve been building towards Mainnet Genesis, the first step of delivering a decentralized platform that scales Ethereum with fast, low-cost and secure transactions. As we prepare to upgrade from testnet to mainnet, we want to build in the open and keep the community informed of our roadmap and status, the statement said.
While blockchain is still not as mainstream as industry participants would like, they are being developed rapidly. As Coinbase enters the L2 space, it is coming into fierce competition with other L2s that are already live on the mainnet.
The likes of Optimism and Arbitrum have seen a reasonable level of success since their launch, which signals that Base could be just as successful. However, one thing the former have are tokens that are already trading across major exchanges. As such, they may continue to see the most interest from investors who are chasing gains from these tokens.
Nevertheless, Base is still a highly anticipated L2 expected to launch in mainnet sometime in 2023. There is no reason to doubt Coinbases stance in not creating a token, but this could always change as Arbitrum operated for two years before launching a token.
Arbitrum, Polygon, and Optimism remain the dominant L2s in the space with total value locked...

FUD Or Fact? Multichain Team Arrested, On-Chain Data Uncovers Fantom Exposure To Wrapped Tokens "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
Rumors of the arrest of the Multichain team have sent shockwaves throughout the Fantom ecosystem. Despite trading volumes of $129 million, the fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD) have resulted in a 5x increase in daily bridging volumes. However, upon closer examination of the on-chain data, the bridging volumes do not show a significant sign of panic.
According to a Twitter thread by the crypto researcher DeFi Ignas, Fantom (FTM) is the most exposed to Multichains wrapped tokens. This suggests that Fantom is particularly vulnerable to any negative impact that may result from the rumored arrest of the Multichain team. This is because Fantom has significant exposure to Multichains wrapped tokens, with 35% of its total value locked (TVL) dependent on these wrappers.
In addition, Multichain issues 40% of non-FTM assets, which is equivalent to a sizable $650 million. This means that if anything were to happen to Multichain, it could have a significant impact on the overall value of these assets.
Furthermore, Multichain handles 81% of Fantoms total stablecoin market capitalization. Stablecoins are digital assets that are pegged to the value of a real-world asset, such as the US dollar. They are often used as a way to hedge against market volatility. However, If anything were to happen to Multichain, it could have a significant impact on the value of these stablecoins and cause instability in the Fantom ecosystem.
Fantom Investors Stay Calm Amid Multichain Arrest RumorsAccording to Ignas, there should have been a significant outflow of Total Value Locked from Fantom due to its reliance on Multichain. However, the data shows that the amount withdrawn was only 1% of its total TVL of $1.78 billion, which indicates that there is not much panic in the market.

Could the Time Machine Scenario Really Happen? "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"
H.G. Wells was not only a scientist and novelist, but he was also a futurist who saw things happening in modern warfare that were deadlier than anyone in his generation could conceive of. In his story the Time Machine H. G. Wells envisions a man who has discovered a way to travel back and forth in time. He begins a slow progression in moving ahead watching his property change from day to day sunrise to sunrise only to slowly speed up to where hes decades ahead of his own time. What he cant understand is the absence of great scientific strides and the profound knowledge that would be present. After querying the inhabitants of the placid grazing land, H. G. Wells finally locates an old library where the books have decayed with age, but he does find the Rings of Knowledge from these he learns about the past and how massive destruction from technologically advanced war had devastated civilization.
The Eloi
To his horror, he finds who is providing the sustenance of the young people living their seemingly placid existence. These people are the Eloi. H.G. He encounters a different breed of cannibalistic humanoids more beast then human. They have been raising the Eloi like ranchers raise and breed cattle for consumption, their consumption! H.G. The director died on Sunday, May 11 of natural causes in Yucca Valley, California, at an assisted living center. He was 96.
Born in 1927 in Santa Monica, Anger frequently had trouble financing his films, some were made over long stretches of time and not released or finished until years after their initial production started. Anger was a bit of a myth-maker of himself, with some of his biographical details reportedly difficult to corroborate. Rubbing shoulders with Jean Cocteau, Alfred Kinsey, and James Whale helped flesh out his charismatic an...

Bankrupt Lending Platform Celsius Agrees To Purchase Bid By Fahrenheit "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
Bankrupt lending platform Celsius Network LLC has announced that it has selected a proposal by Fahrenheit as the winning bid to lead the company out of bankruptcy, according to reporting by Reuters.
Celsius, which filed for Chapter 11 protection in July, sought a buyer to manage its cryptocurrency lending and bitcoin mining businesses. The chosen consortium, Fahrenheit, includes Arrington Capital, a blockchain-based venture capital firm. In addition to the consortium acquiring the company, a new board of directors, primarily appointed by creditors, will oversee the new company formed as a result of the purchase.
Celsius also revealed that it has secured a backup bid from the Blockchain Recovery Investment Consortium (BRIC), a holding company affiliated with Gemini Trust, owned by the Winklevoss twins, ensuring an alternative option in case the deal with Fahrenheit falls through.
According to Celsius, Fahrenheit will provide the necessary capital, management expertise, and technology to navigate the bankruptcy. The consortium's selection indicates a potential positive outcome for Celsius and its creditors, allowing the company to move forward under new management and ownership.

Researchers Discover the Earliest Recorded Kiss Was 4,500 Years Ago "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
Love is part of the human condition. It can be expressed in a variety of ways, from platonic hugs to passionate smooches to caring acts. But perhaps no symbol of love jumps to mind as swiftly as the kiss. Whether between lovers, on the cheeks of friends, or on the foreheads of small children, kisses express meaning. So, when did this kissing all begin?
As it turns out, the ancients loved to kiss and tell. The earliest texts to mention romantic kissing date back to Mesopotamia 4,500 years ago. In fact, scientists are adding a rich new layer to the history of making out by suggesting that ancient humans were actually swapping strains of oral herpes which can be tracked in the genetic record.
As reported in Science, kissing is hard to study. Some scientists have postulated that the behavior originates in prehistoric mating needs to test the health of one's potential mate by tasting their saliva. Others have speculated that it is purely a cultural mechanism, a learned behavior that most (but not all) human cultures have acquired. Certainly, all seem to agree that kissing sprung up independently across the globe.
Article authors Troels Pank Arbll and Sophie Lund Rasmussen argue that ancient Mesopotamian sources can give a fascinating insight into the earliest records of this behavior. The duo notes that ancient Indian texts were long thought to be the earliest reference to a romantic kiss, dating to around 1500 BCE. They now point to Mesopotamiathe fertile crescent or cradle of civilization in the Near Eastwhich left behind a rich wealth of visual carvings and cuneiform tablets recording many facets of literature and everyday life. Around 2500 BCE, or 4,500 years ago, texts in the Sumerian language begin to appear which describe kissing. These sm...

Student Paralyzed From Neck Down Walks Across Graduation Stage With Help From a Robotic Exoskeleton "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
Thanks to a state-of-the-art device, a young man fulfilled his dream of walking across the graduation stage. Twenty-five-year-old Khalil Watson wore his cap and gown to receive his associate's degree from Reynolds Community College in Virginia. But unlike his peers, he did so with the help of a wearable robotic exoskeleton brought to life by Ekso Bionics and therapists at the Sheltering Arms Institute.
In 2016, when he was still in high school, Watson was shot in the neck. This caused a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed from the neck down. Its been a journey; its been lots of ups and downs, he told NBC12. I had to learn how to eat, speak and breath on my own.
Watson had to miss his high school graduation, which he streamed from his hospital bed. Not being able to graduate physically was hard for me to deal with, but being able to still attend virtually is what made things a lot easier, he recalled. Still, he hoped to one day walk at his college graduation.
As he worked on regaining his mobility and independence, Watson also devoted himself to education. In turn, he drew from his own story to visualize a future in which he could help others. After going through the things that I have experienced, Ive been focused, the man said.
This inspired him to enroll at Reynolds Community College and build a career in social work. I have a passion for helping others, he reflected, and after going through the things that I have experienced, I feel...
Support B25-0278 to protect students from Covid shot mandate in DC! "IndyWatch Feed Food"
The District of Columbia is considering a bill that would remove the requirement that all eligible students in DC receive a Covid shot by amending the Immunization of School Students Act of 1979.
Every student has the right to an education regardless of their vaccination status especially when the science clearly demonstrates that unvaccinated people do not pose a risk to others.
We need YOUR voice to help B25-0278 pass!
Talking points, which explain more about the problems with the vaccines and mandates, are below the Take Action section.
TAKE ACTION
Calls are more effective than emails and only take a few minutes. Below is a Sample Script along with additional Talking Points. Use your own words when you call or email a personal message is always more effective than a form message!
Contact your DC Council member and ask him or her to SUPPORT B25-0278.
You can find out who represents you by calling the general line at (202) 724-8000. You can also look up your member at https://dccouncil.us/councilmembers/.
Sample script:
My name is ____ and I live in (town). I am emailing to ask Council Member ____ to support B25-0278.
This bill would amend the Immunization of School Students Act of 1979 thus removing the requirement that eligible students receive a Covid shot.
There have been no long-term studies on the safety of these shots. Students should not be forced to be injected with an experimental substance that could cause serious side effects. As of 5/12/23, there have been 2,476,744 adverse events and 35,387 deaths reported in connection with the Covid shots to the CDCs Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) and it is estimated that only 1-10 percent of adverse reactions are ever reported. And yet the manufacturers are shielded from liability for any harm they cause.
Vaccine mandates are being justified by the idea of the greater good and protecting other people. But no individual should be forced to take a medical treatment for someone elses benefit.
I urge Councilmember _______ to support this bill.
Be sure to explain why this issue is important to you. You may wish to use a couple of the talking points below. Dont copy all of them just use them as ideas to help structure your own message.
TALKING POINTS for calls and emails:
Keep your email short! Pick the 2 or 3 of these talking points or none of them that are most important to you, and be sure to explain why this issue matters to you personally.

Connecting the Recent Dots over Potential Taiwan Invasion "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"
With whats going on in Ukraine right now tensions are already as tight as can be, but add to this the latest suspicious activity leading one to anticipate the worst in Taiwan and the South China Sea. Thanks to stories analyzed by Dan Bongino, former Secret Service and NYPD officer, things look very potentially threatening. All you need to do is tie one story to the next and the picture begins to unfold. If China comes across the Taiwan straits, most certainly war would break out. Thanks to the Biden clown act the US military has begun to doubt its effectiveness, but perhaps China is about too confident in their capability as well.
Story No. 1 It was revealed the other day that Communist Chinese malware has been discovered at Guam Island a major strategic launch point for US Naval operations regardless if a conflict arises anywhere in the Pacific Theater. In the event of war, of course China would want to interdict anything coming out of Guam. Malware there is concerning. You might recall that Guam was once the site of US Marine Corps barracks attacked and occupied by the Japanese in WWII, and has become a major US Navy Base with flight operations as well. Remember too that during the Trump Administration little Rocket man of North Korea had threatened to nuke Guam. North Korea has always been considered the retarded little brother of China.
Story No. 2 Fifty members of the US Senate were issued satellite phones for what the Pentagon tells us are for National Security purposes. Does the US government know something we dont know? Why satellite phones? Because in the event of major communications disruptions, due to war? The need to get a hold of people at any hour for major national announcements and action would necessitate a satellite phone! Is there something major going on? There will always be clues before a disaster or major engagement that the wise should well advised of.

He Canceled a Vacation Because His Wife Couldnt Pay Her Share. Is He Wrong? "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
I dont know about you, but I think that things are pretty darn serious if a vacation gets canceled.
Especially if youre supposed to go with your wife
But this guy must have had his reasons, right?
Maybe?
Lets check out his story and we can all see if this guy acted like an a**hole.
Take a look!
AITA for cancelling a vacation because my wife cant pay her share after helping her adult son and ex-husband?
My wife(44F) makes quite a bit less than me(45M) so our joint expenses are split 70/30.
For the most part things like vacations and where we bought a house are decided based on what she can afford, but there have been several times Ive paid in full for vacations to places I really enjoy and wanted to share the experience with her.
She has a 23y/o son from her previous marriage. When she and I got together I told her I wouldnt mind paying extra for things here and there until her son was 18 and working or in school so she could take care of him. For the majority of our relationship, he has lived with his father.
He decided against college or trade school and hasnt expressed any interest in starting to figure out a plan for the immediate future let alone his life. He floats from job to job, and his father is pretty much the same since the kid graduated. Therein lies the problem: every few months theyll call her for a few hundred dollars here, a few hundred there, 20 bucks this week, 80 the next.
Sometimes its her son calling for help, sometimes its her ex-husband. This has caused her to be short on funds for our plans, or things she volunteered to cover on more than one occasion. Her reasoning when its her ex asking is that since their son still lives with him, she has to help him. I get that to a point.
We were supposed to go on a vacation later this month. Nothing major or fancy bu...

Bitcoin Payments App Bottlepay To Shutdown Services "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
Bottlepay, a popular consumer app for Bitcoin transactions, has announced its closure on Monday, July 24, 2023, leaving users with the task of withdrawing their funds. The company stated that all accounts will be closed, and users are urged to withdraw their funds either as Bitcoin or fiat currency (GBP/EUR) from the Bottlepay app before the closure date.
Failure to withdraw funds by the closure date will result in Bitcoin being converted to fiat currency and returned to the nominated bank account, while any fiat left in the account will be returned to the nominated bank account as well.
In a statement, Bottlepay advised users to utilize the app's downloads feature to save transaction statements before the closure date. The company emphasized that Bitcoin transactions can have tax implications, making the downloaded information valuable for future reference. As the closure date approaches, Bottlepay may contact users who still have Bitcoin or fiat currency in their accounts, either through the app or via email. However, the company cautioned users to be aware of potential scams and never initiate an offboarding process outside of the app.
Regarding the next steps, users are advised to download their transaction history and close their Bottlepay accounts. Instructions on how to withdraw funds from Bitcoin and fiat accounts, as well as how to download transaction history and close accounts, can be found on the app.
In a closing note, Bottlepay expressed gratitude to its customers and apologized for the inconvenience caused by the closure. While the company refrained from making specific recommendations about what to do with Bitcoin funds, users were encouraged to exercise due diligence when selecting alternative custodial wallets or converting Bitcoin to fiat currency. RIP Tina Turner: Honoring the Legendary and Courageous Queen of Rock and Roll "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
Tina Turner, the powerhouse singer, performer, and survivor, has passed away at 83 after battling a long illness. She will be remembered for her electrifying performances, as well as her incredible courage to overcome obstacles and forge a lasting legacy. With a career that spanned over eight decades, her rise to fame and her strength to leave an abusive relationship have made her a source of inspiration for people around the world.
Born Anna Mae Bullock in 1939, she was raised in Nutbush, Tennessee, before taking the musical world by storm alongside her then-husband Ike Turner. Together they achieved incredible success, but unbeknownst to the public, Ike was abusing his wife, even breaking her jaw at one point. An early public face for domestic abuse, Turner impressively revived her career after leaving her abusive marriage. Her resurgence in the 1980s, backed by the hit What's Love Got to Do With It? was incredible as an artist in their 40s who was considered a nostalgia act.
From the mid-1980s onward, Turner's reputation as a top concert draw never wavered. At the same time, with the publication of her 1986 autobiography I, Tina, she bravely stepped forward about the abuse she suffered at the hands of her ex-husband Ike Turner. In an age where domestic abuse was rarely spoken about publicly, she became a beacon of hope for women living in abusive situations.

But theres gotta something else going on here, right?
Im thinking the answer to that question is YES.
So read his story below and see if you think this man is acting like an a**hole.
AITA for not paying any child support?
My ex-girlfriend, Claire (35F), got pregnant while we were dating. Although she told me she just wanted to be friends, I was ready to be a father. However, she met someone else, Becca, who didnt want me around, so they asked me to cancel my paternal rights.
At the time, I was torn because I wanted to be there for my child, but I also felt that if they didnt want me around, it was best to waive my rights. After fighting for a while, I eventually gave up because it was clear that they didnt want me there. Fast forward 13 years later, Claire and Becca are going through some stuff, and they want me to pay child support.
However, the court had already ruled that since I waived my parental rights, I am not legally obliged to pay child support. Despite this, Claire is calling me a bastard and a deadbeat, and shes even calling my family and getting them involved. While I understand her frustration, I dont think its appropriate for her to be involving my family in this matter.
And heres what people had to say on Reddit.

Life is an ongoing dance between the subjective reality of what it feels like to be alive, to tremble with grief, to be glad what it feels like to be you and the objective reality of a universe insentient to your hopes and fears, those rudiments of the imagination, the imagination at the heart of consciousness. We are yet to figure out how these two dimensions of being can be integrated into a totality. We are yet to figure out how the known physical laws can cohere with each other relativity, the physics of the very large, is still at odds with quantum field theory, the physics of the very small and yet to figure out how those physical laws give rise to the wonder of consciousness.
The urgency of this integration is what the physicist David Bohm (December 20, 1917October 27, 1992) explores in Wholeness and the Implicate Order (public library).

The Best Decision Is To Buy Bitcoin (BTC), Robert Kiyosaki Urges "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
Renowned financial guru, entrepreneur, and bestselling author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, Robert Kiyosaki, has once again made headlines with his latest Twitter remarks on the importance of Bitcoin in the face of growing US debt.
As the US economy continues to deteriorate and the countrys debt ceiling discussions take center stage, Kiyosaki emphasizes the urgency of securing ones financial future by investing in alternative assets, including the top cryptocurrency Bitcoin.
Robert Kiyosaki begins by shedding light on the deteriorating state of the US economy, expressing concern over the growing national debt. With Congress currently discussing raising the US debt ceiling to $31.4 trillion to avoid blemish, Kiyosaki dismisses it as nothing more than kabuki theater.
Drawing attention to the dire financial situation, he asserts that the US is already bankrupt, citing unfunded liabilities, such as Social Security, which surpass $250 trillion.
Furthermore, Kiyosaki highlights the size of the financial markets derivative assets, amounting to thousands of trillions of dollars. Against this backdrop, he presents his solution: investing in tangible assets like gold, silver, and digital gold Bitcoin.
The Bestselling author of Rich Dad Poor Dad noted:
Politicians debating raising $30 trillion US debt limit bad comedy, kabuki theater. Facts are: US [is] bankrupt. Unfunded liabilities [such] as Social Security are over $250 trillion. Financial market derivative assets [are] measured in quadrillionsthousands of trillions. WTF. Buy G,S, BC.
Robert Kiyosaki has since been a vocal advocate for Bitcoin, emphasizing the top crypto value for several years. During the onset of the pandemic in 2020, as the US government printed trillions of dollars to stimulate the economy, Kiyosaki voiced his concerns regarding the lack of backing and the inflationary risks associated with fiat currency.
He famously referred to these newly printed dollars as fake money, warning of the consequences of such actions. With over $6 trillion already printed in 2020 alone, Kiyosaki anticipates that the...
Investigation Claims Henry Kissinger Is Responsible For 3 Million Civilian Deaths "IndyWatch Feed Survival"
In a newly released report on an investigation by The Intercept, there are claims that Henry Kissinger is responsible for 3 million civilian (slave class) deaths. The former United States diplomats actions have left a trail of dead people behind him.
Kissinger is no friend to humanity. He is one of the masters desperately trying to keep the slaves from figuring out whats really going on so he can maintain power and control. He infamously said: If you control the food, you control a nation. If you control the energy, you control a region. If you control the money, you control the world.
Kissinger, who was the foreign policy eminence grise who has advised half a dozen U.S. presidents, has caused the deaths of over 3 million people, according to an Intercept report published Tuesday to mark the realpolitik strategists 100th birthday, according to a report by RT. In all likelihood, he is probably responsible for far more deaths than that. The ruling class doesnt care at all about the slave class and it has become overly apparent.
While critics of the Nixon-era secretary of state and national security adviser often accurately describe him as a war criminal for his pivotal role in numerous U.S.-backed genocides and coups, the report argues Kissingers body count has been widely underestimated, particularly regarding the secretive, highly illegal expansion of the Vietnam War into Cambodia in the 1970s.
Between the genocides he sponsored in East Timor and Bangladesh, continent-wide terrorism, coups, and death squads in Latin America (known as Operation Condor), the fomenting of civil wars in Southern Africa, and the carpet-bombing of Cambodia and Laos under the guise of chasing the Vietnamese, Kissinger is believed to be responsible for over 3 million civilian deaths more if one counts the casualties that have resulted from advice he gave the private sector. -RT

Relive the 80s With This 2,651-Piece LEGO Set of a Pac-Man Arcade "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
Fans of old-fashioned arcade games can relive the experience with LEGO's newest set. Inspired by the 1980s game of Pac-Man, this 2,651-piece set helps you recreate the iconic game. Not only does it feature figurines of the titular character and the ghost villains Blinky and Clyde, but it also includes the necessary parts to activate a mechanical chase.
The box set is modeled after an arcade cabinet. So as you put together the thousands of pieces, you will also be adding a four-way joystick and a coin slot that lights upsimilar to what you would find in a real arcade. While there is no need for quarters and the joystick does not actually move the pieces, LEGO does include a method to enjoy the Pac-Man game. To the side of the cabinet is a mechanical crank and as you turn it, you will be able to move the pieces inside the screen.
We wanted to recreate the experience of the eighties and the joy that people got from the arcade games of that time, says LEGO designer Sven Franic. While this is the first collaboration of this kind between these two companies, the unveiling of the game came with a fun fact about Pac-Man's distinct yellow color. As it turns out, the game's creator Toru Iwatani, was inspired by the hue of the LEGO brick. Not knowing that Pac-Man was inspired by LEGO bricks was quite a funny situation, as we spent a lot of time wondering what shade of yellow to go for, Franic adds. Due to the complexity of this set, it is recommended for people aged 18 and over.
You can purchase the Pac-Man Arcade set for $269.99 via LEGO's website starti...

May Missives: What You Need to Know About Meals, Music, Memory, and More! "IndyWatch Feed Health"
A smorgasbord of natural health stories.
From Ronald Hoffman, MD.
Poor food choices drive diabetes pandemic: A new study links poor diet to 14 million cases of type 2 diabetes worldwidein 2018 alone. (In my opinion a gross underestimate if you add in the high percentage of new cases of diabetes that remain undiagnosed, as well as innumerable individuals who fall short of the formal requirements for diabetes, but whose borderline elevated blood sugar is a hallmark of metabolic syndrome, a sure pathway to heart disease, stroke, neurodegenerative disease, and even many cancers).
In sum, researchers estimate that 7 out of 10 new cases of diabetes worldwide in 2018 were linked to poor food choices.
Key factors among 11 dietary risk factors considered were insufficient intake of whole (but not refined) grains; excesses of refined rice and wheat; and overconsumption of processed meat. A consistent trend was over-reliance on refined carbohydrates, including sugary soft drinks, pastry, and candy.
Regionally, Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia, especially Poland and Russia, had the largest number of type 2 diabetes linked to diet; prosperity has enabled formerly food-challenged nationalities to consume more processed foods. But Sub-Saharan Africa, Mexico, and Latin America, where food-related diabetes used to be relatively uncommon, are rapidly playing catch-up.
Im curious as to why the U.S., which leads developed countries in obesity, was not singled out for being in the vanguard of the worldwide type 2 diabetes pandemic.
Beverages and diabetes: A corollary to the above study is a recent investigation of the relationship between consumption of various beverages and the risk of death or heart disease among adults with type 2 diabetes.
It was found that a high intake of sugar-sweetened beverages increased risk by 20%; regular intake of coffee, tea and plain water significantly reduced the risk of dying.
