National Library of France Completely Transformed After a 15 Year Renovation

Oval Room at Bibliothque Nationale de France

After 15 years, Bruno Gaudin Architectes has completed work on the Bibliothque Nationale de France (BnF). The massive undertaking saw the firm touch every part of this national archive, which is spread across two sites: the Richelieu and Franois-Mitterrand. Tackled in two phases, the first of which was completed in 2016, the fulfillment of the project has revolutionized the library for both its employees and the public.

After 15 years of work, we have returned a building that has been profoundly transformed to meet the contemporary challenges of welcoming the public, opening it up to the city, and sharing and exchanging with the younger generations, shares Bruno Gaudin. Yesterday, closed in on itself, the large, magnificent, worn, fragmented, dark, and dilapidated treasure chest has now been given a new identity, full of light.

Perhaps the most dramatic public transformation occurred in phase one when the Oval Room was completely restored and refurbished. This iconic reading room, located on the Richelieu site, was originally designed in the late 19th century. While keeping the space tied to its historic routes, the firm updated the outdated lighting and installed multimedia seating for visitors to enjoy all aspects of the collection.

Artist Fuses Her Paintings With AI-Generated Art in Unique Collaboration of Human and Computer "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Artist Fuses Her Paintings With AI-Generated Art in Unique Collaboration of Human and Computer

Digital Paintings by Jenni Pasanen

Over the past few years, AI-generated art has risen in popularity and garnered controversy along the way. Some artists, however, are showing that there are many ways to incorporate this tool into their creative practice. Jenni Pasanen merges AI technology with her digital paintings to create surreal illustrations with an ethereal aesthetic.

With a background in design and animation, Pasanen has been painting digitally for about 15 years. The direction of art drastically changed when she discovered AI art two years ago. Since then, she has been exploring ways to seamlessly combine these two approaches into one cohesive work of art. I always describe the process as a cake with layers. Adding a layer on top of one another, mixing the two together, and sometimes adding other elements like animation, photography, or 3D, she tells My Modern Met.

Pasanen's unique illustrations look like visions from a dream. Faceless figures gracefully float in smoky, pastel-colored backgrounds and murky landscapes overlooked by cloud-like animals. For me, inspiration comes from anywhere, from an AI-generated image to a distant memory or even a stick I saw on the street, she continues. That's because we build our own reality from our surroundings and experiences; our life is a story we tell ourselves and that's what we paint on the canvas.

You can purchase prints of Pasanen's art via inPRNT, and keep up to date with the artist's latest work by following her Instagram.

On the Trail of Alien Technology: Could Objects Like the Aiud Wedge Hold the Key? "IndyWatch Feed Uncanny"

In recent years, scientists have increasingly turned their attention to the possibility of finding evidence of extraterrestrial technology. This is partly due to the discovery of the first interstellar object known to have passed through our solar system, Oumuamua, which caused great excitement among astronomers and the public alike.

Interstellar Objects

Now, another interstellar object is the focus of intense scrutiny by researchers. Professor Avi Loeb, a theoretical physicist at Harvard University, believes that an object that crashed or landed on Earth off the coast of Papua New Guinea in 1990 may be evidence of extraterrestrial technology. He is leading a team that will search for the object, which is thought to be a piece of technology from another solar system.

But could there be other objects like this already on Earth? One mysterious object that has captured the attention of researchers for decades is the Aiud Aluminum Wedge. This unusual artifact was discovered in 1974 in Romania, buried alongside mastodon bones that are millions of years old. The wedge itself is made of an aluminum alloy and has a triangular shape, leading some to speculate that it may be of extraterrestrial origin.

A sort-of Mystery

Despite much debate and speculation, the true origins of the Aiud Aluminum Wedge remain a mystery. It could be a modern object accidentally buried in ancient sediments, or it could be evidence of an ancient civilization with advanced technology. Alternatively, it could be a piece of mining equipment or some other industrial tool.

The Aiud Aluminum Wedge was stored in a museum up until 1995. Pseudoarchaeologists and Ufologists believed that this finding is evidence of extraterrestrial beings visiting Earth in the past. A Romanina ufologist believes that this item is actually a landing gear of an alien spacecraft. But an extraordinary claim requires extraordinary evidence.

Composition of the wedge

According to research, the exact composition of the artifact is as follows: aluminum (89%), copper (6.2%), silicon (2.84%), zinc (1.81%), lead (0.41%), tin (0.33%), zirconium(0.2%), cadmium (0.11%), nickel (0.0024%), cobalt (0.0023%), bismuth (0.0003%), silver (0.0002%), and gallium (in trace amounts).

The more likely explanation, even though we would all love for it to be the ultimate evidence of ET, is that the wedge is a piece of an excavators tooth, and you can see some examples here.

Regardless of its origins, the Aiud Aluminum Wedge has sparked interest among researchers who are looking for potential techno signatures of extraterrestrial origin on Earth. This interest has only grown wit...

The Energies of April 2023; Stabilization "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

From eraoflight.com: Beloved Ones, We leave behind a very intense month. One of constant change and hence transformation, for all who are ready to embrace higher truths, release old structures, and reclaim their sovereignty. March triggered the energies that are now coming in April, and that will continue for the following months. In April, we welcome the first Solar eclipse of the year, and with it, the opportunity for purification, so we can rebirth into who we truly are, sovereign free beings in charge of our lives, as Aries season reminds us. A month to ground ourselves, descending in the physical all we have previously integrated, during the previous month, mastering ourselves as creators in our human plane. We too have the 4/4 portal, which is a very important one for stabilizers, as well as for all who are on a mission to anchor love and harmony, for this portal will help us restore the foundations that have been damaged for eons. A portal that coincides with the Moon in Libra, two days later, will help in grounding all we have seeded, during the 4/4 portal. April is an 11 universal number, a master number that invites us to precisely master ourselves in the many things that we are still here to learn and expand, whether it is our mission or anything else that we need to master, expand, and anchor. This new month helps us continue with the self-illumination process that began in March, and that will lead us into a complete repatterning, retrieving wisdom, and clarity for the expansion that is coming, as we are just beginning to decode all that we have been embodying, for as this year promised, we are indeed immersed in a constant change. Aprils energies are going to help those who wish to go deeper into their evolutionary path, by offering them the strength, and devotion, to continue with their spiritual practices, so they can re-connect themselves with their Illumined Self, to receive more guidance about how to navigate through their new timeli...

Texas Is Bitcoin Country, With Or Without The U.S. "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

A historically-independent state, Texas ongoing embrace of Bitcoin makes it an innovative leader, with or without the rest of the U.S.

This is an opinion editorial by James Collins, a financial professional with experience in various asset classes.

We encourage it, we advance it. But I would say we provide the platform for those involved in Bitcoin to make sure they have a place to come to.

The above words spoken by Texas Governor Greg Abbott are a clear reminder of the sheer power hidden within the varying components of Bitcoin that allow the system to organically steer a state or nation into a realm of independence and ethical, fiduciary responsibilities for its citizenry.

Combining the American spirit of the "shot heard round the world" in 1775 and "Remember The Alamo" in 1836, Texas has an opportunity to obtain absolute state independence through mathematical independence thanks to the "block heard around the world" in 2009. This is my analysis of the characteristics of Texas, the effects of historic events and how, through Bitcoin, Texas can become completely sovereign.

The Lone Star State

Texas is one of the most fascinating states in the union. Starting with the Texas Revolution's use of the "come and take it" flag, as an emboldened and outnumbered Texan rebel group won the Battle of San Jacinto to claim Texas independence, the state has always had a spirit of freedom.

Texas then became the Republic of Texas, electing Sam Houston as its first president and proudly flying the Lone Star flag representing itself as its own country. By 1846, Texas had been annexed by the United States and used as a beachhead for the westward expansion of the United States, culminating in the Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo and a U.S. payment of $15 million to Mexico for large swaths of western territory. Texas would later secede from the United States in...

Her Future In-Laws Refer To Her As A Gold Digger? Should Her Fiancee Set Them Straight? "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Lets just say up front that there are all kinds of relationship dynamics out there, and as long as everyone is on the same page and it works for the couple, its really none of anyone elses business.

This woman doesnt come from the kind of money that her fiancees does, and for some reason, his family has never let her forget it.

And even though theyve felt the need to continually insinuate that shes only interested in the relationship for the money, her fiancee has never bothered to correct them or stand up for her.

Thats even though recently theyve been a single income household  her income as hes been unemployed and hasnt bothered to inform his family.

So, My fiance (m33) comes from a well off family, I (f29) come from a working class family. My fiances family are nice but they cant help throwing comments at me about how I might be a Gold Digger.

For example, if he buys me something theyll go oh Jason bought you that? You know what this looks like right? And/or Wait, Jason paid for this? Only gold diggers make their partners pay for stuff all the time, just sayin.

Its so demeaning and my fiance does nothing to stop it. Especially now that hes in a bad place in life after he lost his job. And since hes keeping it secret then, Im the one paying for everything.

This has been going on for 4 months.

Recently they were at a family dinner and OP could no longer hold her tongue, spilling the beans about how shes been supporting them both.

Last week, His parents invited us for dinner and he insisted that we go so we went. At dinner t...

The first thing she does is to add three pumps of mocha to the small cup filled with ice. She places the cup in the machine.

Next, she tells us to select iced drinks and small iced mocha. The drink comes out of the machine to fill the cup. She stirs it with a spoon to make sure you stir all the mocha in, squirts a mound of whip, a drizzle of syrup, then puts a lid on the cup.

What is Education For? "IndyWatch Feed Fertility"

David Orrs book, Earth in Mind: On Education, Environment, and the Human Prospect, seems as relevant today as when it was first published a few decades ago. Schooling is failing to do what society and children need.We are facing unprecedented planetary ecological destruction and human disconnection from self, others, and Nature. Orr warned that schooling was a primary source of these outcomes.

Without careful attention to how schooled education is structured, Orr warned:

Without significant precautions, education can equip people merely to be more effective vandals of the earth. If one listens carefully, it may even be possible to hear the Creation groan every year in late May when another batch of smart, degree-holding, but ecologically illiterate, Homo sapiens who are eager to succeed are launched into the biosphere. (Orr, 1994, p. 5)

Orr points out that we should always remember that the architects of the German holocaust were highly educated men, whose education Elie Wiesel (1990) described as emphasizing

theories instead of values, concepts rather than human beings, abstraction rather than consciousness, answers instead of questions, ideology and efficiency rather than conscience.

In my experience as a professor and classroom teacher, too many disciplines and coursework throughout K-12 and the college and graduate years match this unfortunate description.

Witches Take Over Westchester "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

VALHALLA, New York Among the recent works in a 30-year survey of sculptures and collages by Nancy Bowen at Westchester Community College Art Gallery is a group of 20 tombstones (2020). Made of gray-toned paper pulp encrusted with tiny shells and pebbles, and veined with black pigment, each bears a ceramic plaque with the name of a woman or man killed during the Salem witch trials, an event presided over by one of the artists ancestors, Samuel Sewall, who eventually repented and atoned. Bowen took care to individuate each tombstone, surmounted by a set of ceramic wings and a skull facing in one direction, and grounded by ceramic shoes that project from the bottom. The head-and-wings motif is from early American funerary art, and symbolizes both mortality and resurrection; the shoes convey a feeling that these whimsical little characters for that is what they are might transcend their horrible fate by simply picking up and walking away.

In some ways the installation is an anomaly: it does not look much like other works in the show. Yet it embodies two strains long explored by this under-the-radar artist: on the one hand, experimenting with craft me...

How To Be the Woman That Doesnt Seek Validation "IndyWatch Feed Uncanny"

We have all been guilty of seeking validation at one point or another, and this likely ties into the societal pressure placed on women to please others. We doubt ourselves because we are hard-wired to try to please everyone around us, but this same societal conditioning is the very thing that will destroy our mental health and well-being.

Throughout history, women have been pressured to seek out validation, most especially from men. At one point in time, our survival depended upon it, because we had very few rights. Fast-forward to now, and while times have changed, it is still hard-wired in our DNA to seek validation from others. Of course, there are other factors at play as well. Regardless of the reasons, if you are ready to take your power back, then I have 6 tips to share with you.

6 ways to become a woman who does not seek validation from others.

1. Get to know yourself.

In order to believe in yourself, you have to know yourself. I dont mean know yourself in the vague sense of the word, I mean you need to really know yourself. You need to sit down with yourself and be honest about who you are, what you believe in, what you are capable of, what your weaknesses are, what your flaws are, and what makes you beautiful.

2. Understand your worth.

There are many of us that do not get taught what our value is. Instead, we are taught that we should be the prettiest girl in the room, the quietest, and the people pleaser. Let go of these notions and understand that this is your life and you are worthy of everything you desire and more.

3. Understand what you have accomplished and what you are capable of.

Look back at what you have accomplished. Think of times in which you stepped up and showed out. For example, remember that time that you got that promotion because you worked for it? Or, do you remember that time you could have given up when things were hard, but you kept going instead? Count those wins!

4. Practice self-care.

You cannot pour from an empty cup. If you are always doing for everyone else and letting your needs fall to the back burner, you do not value yourself. Make a point of showing YOU that you value YOU.

5. Practice setting boundaries.

Boundaries are everything. At the end of the day, when you seek validation from others, you are violating your own boundaries and honestly the boundaries of others. Why? Its not ANYONES responsibility to validate you.

6. Surround yourself with the right people.

There is an old saying that goes something along the lines of you are who you surround yourself with, and well, that couldnt be more true. So, if you want to be strong and confident, then you need to surround yourself with people who are strong and confident and who value you.

7 Books Every Parent Should Read To Their Child "IndyWatch Feed Uncanny"

As parents, we want our kids to have the best life they possibly can have, and the easiest way to ensure that you are achieving this is by reading to your kids. You might be thinking that this sounds crazy, but did you know that reading to your kids can encourage their development in a myriad of ways?

Not only is reading an enjoyable activity that your kids will love- but it also is an activity that will help their vocabulary, encourage them to build problem-solving skills, enhance their imagination and encourage healthy social behaviors. With that said, the content that you read to them is just as important as the activity itself. Below, I will go over 7 books that every parent should read to their child.

1. The Giving Tree, by Shel Silverstein

This is a book that is beloved by many and for good reason: it is an amazing read. This book goes through the different life, love, and relationship changes that happen during our lives. Additionally, it teaches children about generosity and gratitude, which is a must.

2. Oh, The Places Youll Go, by Dr. Suess

This book is an emotional read to be a childs book, and it leaves you feeling a sense of hope and happiness when you finish it. The best part about this book is that it shares a very necessary message: that we are in charge of our own destinies.

3. The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle

Not only is this book a very interesting journey alongside a little caterpillar who grows into a beautiful butterfly, but it is also filled with beautiful art. One of the best things about this book is the message behind it, which tells us about transformation. There is a reason why everyone loves this book. Its the perfect read for a smaller child, like a toddler or pre-k child.

4. Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, by Lois Ehlert

When I saw this book at the bookstore, I knew I had to pick it up. Growing up, I loved this book. Its a simple read, and it can be read in the form of a song. Not to mention how it easily teaches little ones how to say their ABCs.

5. The Raindrop, by Brian D. Mcclure

If you are looking for a childs book with a deep message about how we value ourselves, this one is it. In this book, a little raindrop begins to feel worthless and meaningless. Throughout its journey, it learns about itself and finds out that it has much more value than it ever imagined.

6. Where the Sidewalk Ends, by Shel Silverstein

Shel Silverstein was not only a great writer, but also a great artist and poet. This book includes an extensive list of poetry and imagery that will be sure to empower your little ones imagination.

7. Charlottes Web

While most people have seen the movie, the book is way better. In this book, a little pig named Wilbur befriends a spider named Charlotte. Charlotte creates a plan to save the piglet from the butcher and through their friend...

4 Signs He Has An Avoidant Attachment Style "IndyWatch Feed Uncanny"

Back in the 1950s, John Bowlby, M.D., and Mary Ainsworth, Ph.D. realized a unique relationship between how a child relates to their parent in their earliest stage. Based on their work, when children do not properly bond with their parents, they end up with dysfunctional attachment styles, like avoidant attachments.

There are four main attachment styles: anxious, avoidant, disorganized, and secure. When a child is properly bonded to their mother or caregiver early on, they securely attach, and when their bond is somehow stunted, they may end up with one of the others. Anxious attachment styles cause people to be clingy, to be obsessive, and to be fearful constantly of losing their partner or doing something wrong. Avoidant attachment styles lead to people being extremely fearful of commitment and pulling back from emotional depth altogether.

Sadly, being with someone with an unhealthy attachment style can be extremely hurtful. Here are four signs that indicate an avoidant attachment style.

1. When the going gets good, he gets going.

People who are avoidant in their attachment style tend to have difficulty with commitment. Due to this, when things are going well in a relationship or a new partnership, they are likely to bail. To them, good means that they may get attached, and that means they could get hurt. So, instead of being able to feel safe and secure, they pull back.

2. They cling to the past.

Another tell-tell sign of an avoidant attachment is when you notice your partner is stuck in the past. You might find they have a history of this with past lovers. They may collect past love interests on their socials, and you may even hear them constantly reminiscing about someone else.

3. They lack trust in anyone.

People with avoidant attachment styles tend to not trust others. Whenever you tell them you will do something, they will be suspicious. They will constantly be coming behind you, checking to see if you are lying to them or doing them wrong.

4. They are hot/cold.

The biggest sign to me is someone who is either all in or all out. One moment, they seem fine, and they may even talk about commitment. However, when it comes time to pay up, they run for the hills.

5 Ways To Be Gentle, Yet FIRM With Your Kids "IndyWatch Feed Uncanny"

As a parent, we are constantly toeing the line between being assertive and being compassionate. While we want disciplined kids, who listen and who are good humans, we also want children who feel heard and loved.

Disciplining can be difficult, especially if you were raised by parents who were not so gentle or parents who let you do whatever you wanted to do. At the end of the day, neither of those approaches is going to get the results you want. With that said, the question remains, how do you stay firm with your children while remaining gentle and loving?

Here are 5 simple tips that will help you accomplish exactly that.

1. Create an environment that is conducive to what you are trying to accomplish.

Children will rebel against parents who always seem angry with them, it is simply in their nature. So, it is your job as a parent to create a warm and loving environment, where your kids have a voice so that when it comes time to get firm with them, they will trust in you and listen.

2. Keep your posture right.

When approaching your child, you need to maintain yourself. Do not let them see you struggling to be firm, because they will sense that you dont trust yourself. In turn, they are far less likely to take you seriously. Stand tall, maintain your facial expression, and stay in control.

3. Manage your tone.

Your tone is everything. If you softly tell your son to stop playing and do his homework, and he doesnt listen, it is likely because he isnt taking you seriously. Instead, use a deep tone that is serious, loud enough to get the point across but not yelling, and use commands, not questions.

4. Talk less.

If you throw a bunch of commands at your child or use too many words when trying to command them, they are going to get lost. Instead, keep it short and sweet.

5. Look back at situations that didnt work.

When there are times in which you are not firm enough or your attempts failed, use them to learn. Look back and ask yourself what you could have done better. Identify these issues and then come up with a strategy for next time.

Did She Overreact By Dumping A Full Post Of Pasta Sauce On The Rug? "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Relationships might be hard, but if youve spent any time at all reading through posts on Reddit, you realize there are whole lot of people out there making them harder than they have to be.

OP and her boyfriend are in their 30s. Hes been working hard and having to study for an exam, so she decided to be kind and come over to his place to make dinner.

After she told him it was just about ready, he hollered back whats for dinner, b**ch?

I was over my boyfriends apartment this weekend and I was cooking dinner because he was studying for exams. I made pasta and a chunky sauce with meatballs and veggies.

I told him dinner was ready and he goes whats for dinner tonight, B*TCH With like a lot of emphasis on the last word.

She saw red and made him see red by dumping the dinner on the ground and telling him in no uncertain terms that she was not going to be spoken to that way.

She left, got herself takeout, and went to a friends house.

I was fed up, Id had a pretty rough day with work and I have some awfully bad associations with that word being used by other people in my life who were pretty abusive. So I was so irritated that I dropped the pot of pasta sauce Id been carrying right on the ground and was like Well nothings for dinner tonight now. And I better not hear you using that word again, its for the girls

He was freaking out about how sauce had landed on his rug and he even said youre seriously acting like a bitch right now, I dunno what else to call it

He kept texting her to explain it was a TikTok challenge (but never apologize) and in the morning was bugging her to come over and clean up the mess (that hed left sit all night)....

Boss Builds Adorable Individual Tiny House Offices for Every Employee "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Yes, working from home is as amazing as it sounds. You dont have to wake up as early or need to fight traffic and you can wear comfy clothes. Heck, you can even blast your favorite thrash metal playlist that helps you focus without bothering your coworkers.

But one boss in Missouri got very creative to lure his employees back to the office and, I have to say, his plan takes the shine off working from home. He built each employee their own tiny house inside the large office of his property management business. TikToker ItsKylie94 works there and proudly showed off videos of the teeny buildings.

Because the concept of having your own tiny house office is so dang cool, the videos went viral.

Are The Crystal Aztec Skulls Real? The Jury Is In. "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Everyone knows about them (thanks in no small part to Indiana Jones), and some of them are even on display in prestigious museum collections, but the truth is that no one knows whether or not they were ever authentic to begin with.

The skulls are supposedly pre-Columbian relics from Mesoamerica, but there are more than a few theories that suggest they could be nothing more than cheap knockoffs sold by a conman in the nineteenth-century.

It is all falling apart. "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

Pretty sure everyone with even a couple of functional brain cells can see that everything is falling apart. Whether by design or coincidence can be debated, personally I believe it is a mix of by design and unintended consequences thrown in for good measure. Inflation, Crime, Random acts of violence, a failed public education system, supply chain malfunctions, work force participation, illegal immigration, food shortages, sheer Government incompetence, Polarization and Deep Divisions, A...

Worlds Oldest Preserved Brain Found in a 319 Million-Year-Old Fish Fossil "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Worlds Oldest Preserved Brain Found in a 319 Million-Year-Old Fish Fossil

Oldest Brain Discovered in 319 Million-Year-Old Fish Fossil

Fish are generally not known to be clever critters with tremendous brain power. Goldfish, in particular, are believed by many to have three-second memory spans, but that's not true. Another fish's brain has recently grabbed the spotlight for a different reason. A 319-million-year-old fish fossil sitting in the Manchester Museum has revealed that within its skull are a brain and cranial nerves that are the oldest well-preserved vertebrate brain ever discovered. This rare find has excited researchers around the world and is described in a Nature paper.

Discovered over 100 years ago in a Lancashire, UK, mine, the fossil was encased in soapstone. It has since sat in the museum but was recently examined by researchers. Known as Coccocephalus wildi, it is the only specimen found of its kind. Although just the skull was discovered, the fish likely stretched six to eight inches. While not originally looking for a brain, researchers discovered a strange object in the skull using CT scans. Like vertebrate brains, the object was bilaterally symmetrical, contained hollow spaces, and had multiple filaments (like cranial nerves). The brain folds inward, unlike in today's living ray-finned fishes.

Vertebrate brains decay quickly, so finding fossilized specimens is unusual. Likely the dead critter was quickly enshrouded in sediment with low oxygen levels. Senior author of the paper Sam Giles of the University of Birmingham said in a statement, This unexpected find of a three-dimensiona...

Michael Le Flem: Visions of Atlantis "IndyWatch Feed Uncanny"

Unravel History's Greatest Mystery

People the world over have grappled with the story of Atlantis for millennia. But how much is fact? How much is fiction? How much is something else, filtered through the obscuring lens of time?

Clairvoyant impressions from Edgar Cayce, Frederick Oliver, Rudolf Steiner, Barbara Hand Clow and others supplement a concerted scientific, philosophical and historical investigation of humanity's antediluvian achievements and Atlantis' tragic demise.

At the same time, readers will see just how the story of Atlantis has evolved from the seminal account passed down by Plato almost 2,400 years ago into those of the present day, as we engage with some of its strongest proponents and harshest critics alike. More than just a dry catalog of Atlantean footnotes, Visions of Atlantis strikes at the core of the great divide between materialist reductionism and the frontiers of metaphysics, enjoining readers to reconsider some of their most deeply held beliefs about ancient technology, psychic phenomena, reincarnation, and the vast unknown past.

Michael Le Flem, M.A. is a researcher, adjunct professor of history and philosophy, columnist for New Dawn Magazine and KennedysandKing.com, a scuba diver and guitarist. He grew up in South Florida, and attended the Harriet. L. Wilkes Honors College and Florida State University, where he studied Western intellectual history and U.S. foreign policy.'Visions of Atlantis: Reclaiming our Lost Ancient Legacy' is his second history book after 2008's 'The Specter of Reason.'Michael is a book reviewer for Publisher's Weekly, and was a one-time research assistant for investigative journalist Whitney Webb while she was writing her best-selling two-part series, 'One Nation Under Blackmail.' He has also ghostwritten for authors of the History Press. Monumental Mesh Canopies Provide Glimpses of Lush Cherry Blossoms at Every Turn "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Monumental Mesh Canopies Provide Glimpses of Lush Cherry Blossoms at Every Turn

Boundless Theater - Egret Bay Museum

Boundless Theater is a stunning design created for the Egret Bay Art Museum in Rizhao, Shandong Province, China. Located at the foothills of a sacred Buddhist mountain, the plans call for structures that unite the space with the natural landscape. Surrounded by cherry trees, the space is filled with undulating steel mesh buildings that provide a light canopy.

Visitors will be encouraged the drink in the environment, which is particularly striking during the spring cherry blossom season. At that time, as pink flowers fill the trees, people can weave in and out of the steel structures while never losing sight of nature.

I imagine that when cherry blossoms are blooming all over the sky, heaven and earth, cherry trees, the theater will accommodate me, cherry trees are the main, the theater is the second, and I am the free element in this scene, writes Beijing Guanzhan Landscape and Planning, the project architects.

Each mesh structure is formed from steel bars that have been painstakingly woven together in a process that is technically difficult. Extending the perimeter of the space, these steel shells hug the center of the space. By providing a boundary, they draw visitors in while at the same time leaving space for the natural world to act as the protagonist of the setting.

Boundless Theater was designed for the Egret Bay Art Museum in China.

AR15 hit piece fail. "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

I'm not saying the AR15 is the alpha and the omega of guns. The best survival gun depends on your location. If semiautos are banned where you are that kind of puts a damper on things. The best game getting guns are likely a 22lr, a shotgun or big bolt action rifle depending on where you are.
But there's a reason why the government uses them, politicians want to take them and mom's looking for action want to ban them. Plus after it hits the fan there's going to be a lot of them laying about....

The heuristics often described in behavioral economics offer insightful frameworks for understanding mainstream resistance to Bitcoin.

This is an opinion editorial by Rich Feldman, a marketing executive, author and advisory board member at Western Connecticut University.

Source: Created by the author using deepai.org

Behavioral economics has long been cited to describe our irrational tendencies as consumers and investors. Im here to extend that discussion specifically to Bitcoin because, lets face it, when it comes to crypto in general and Bitcoin specifically, the influence of emotions, biases, heuristics and social pressure in shaping our preferences, beliefs and behaviors is profound and fascinating.

Getting Beyond FOMO

As is preached in behavioral finance, investing in anything is prone to common traps such as fear of missing out (FOMO), loss aversion, groupthink (the bandwagon effect) and the sunk-cost fallacy which account for people holding onto their investments longer than they should.

Cognitive journeys such as these are nicely demonstrated in the chart below which, ironically, was created by Credit Suisse. In light of recent events, perhaps it shouldve been wary of overreach bias! But lets not kick it while its down.

Concepts of behavioral finance and Bitcoin certainly have interesting parallels. For example: FOGI (not the old type), or fear of getting in. Chalk that up to a nascent trading marketplace which can be incredibly confusing and (for many) require a technological leap of faith.

Yet, anyone who thinks this is a new phenomenon need only look to the launch of online banking, bill pay and mobile deposits to know that there is hesitancy...

Another step closer to nuclear war? | The Fox News Rundown "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

On Saturday, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced plans to move tactical nuclear weapons into Belarus, a neighboring nation of Ukraine. Russia has suffered many recent setbacks at the hands of the Ukrainian army, and experts suspect the steady depletion of Russian forces has motivated the Kremlins latest nuclear intimidation tactic. Former National Security Advisor Stephen Hadley joins the Rundown to break down Russias strategy behind this announcement, how the U.S. should respond if international nuclear tensions are elevated, and the impact the political protests in Israel could have on the United States.

After a deadly mass shooting at The Covenant School in Nashville, President Biden has renewed his previous push for a national assault weapons ban. Police have revealed that despite the fact that the 28-year-old shooter had been receiving treatment for an emotional disorder, they had legally purchased several guns and hidden them before using them in their attack. Now, national conversations about mental health and gun control are happening once again. First, former NYPD Inspector Paul Mauro explains key aspects of the police response to school shootings and why gun legislation from Congress needs more nuance. Later, The Brady Center Against Gun Violence President Kris Brown joins to discuss the future of new gun laws and the issue of mental health in America.

A New York City Psychiatric Hospital Patient Said Staffers Illegally Restrained and Drugged Her; She Never Got Over It "IndyWatch Feed Health"

When Christine Miranda died last April, the consequences of a decades-long cutting habit were etched into her body. There are scars up and down both arms, observed a social worker who had recently treated her.

I was taught [as a little girl] to [cut], Miranda told me a few months before her death. My father cut me, punched me, kicked me. He literally would sit me on the coffee table in the kitchen. It was sessions of it. It was torture. The point was not to cry or react.

Miranda had reached out to me days after she had made a nearly 2.5-inch-long subcutaneous cut into her upper right arm, as well as a similarly sized cut into her left thigh. It was the worst shes ever done, her mom says.

But Miranda said she wasnt attempting suicide when she made the cuts. Instead, she explained, she made the cuts, to avoid getting to the point of suicidality, which she added, every day I think about. Her outpatient treatment team, whom she called for help, arranged for an ambulance to pick her up at her Bronx home and take her to Mount Sinai Hospital in Midtown Manhattan.

In Mount Sinais emergency room, according to medical records the hospital shared with Miranda, doctors stitched up her wounds. There is no indication in the ER records that Miranda was uncooperative or combative.

The ER staffers then transferred Miranda to the psychiatric emergency department for a mental health evaluation.

Trey Gowdy: Trump indictment is latest example of a corrupted justice system | Fox News Rundown "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

Former President Donald Trump was indicted Thursday night by a Manhattan grand jury, marking the first time in American history that a former president has faced criminal charges. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg had been pursuing an indictment for the former Presidents alleged hush money payments made in the months leading up to the 2016 presidential election. Former President Trump, who has announced his 2024 candidacy, responded to his indictment Thursday night, calling this political persecution and election interference at the highest level. Former South Carolina Congressman and federal prosecutor, Trey Gowdy, joins the podcast to explain the reasons why this is the weakest legal case against former President Trump, his doubts that this indictment will impact the 2024 primary, and why this is an example of our justice system being corrupted by politics.

Attending college has long been a popular next step for high school graduates, but as more young adults find themselves strapped with thousands of dollars in debt after graduating, some are looking to another stepping stone for a career path: apprenticeships. Traditionally thought to exist only in trades like plumbing or electrical work, apprenticeships are now available for those interested in a number of new fields like cybersecurity or consulting. The Wall Street Journals higher education reporter, Doug Belkin, has spoken at length with many students who are opting to take on apprenticeships instead of college. He joins the Rundown to discuss his insights, the unique benefits apprenticeships can garner for young adults, and the factors he believes portray college as either a tool or a waste of time.

Rock-Bottom Meal Plan for Those Weeks When Money Is Tight "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

Things are tough in America and theyre likely to get tougher. Many of us are forced to reallocate our money from one necessity to another and often, the thing that suffers first is our diets. If times are tight, you might find this article helpful.

Its a meal plan created from recipes and strategies in my new paperback, What to Eat When Youre Broke. We released this in PDF format recently and readers loved it. We got so many requests to put it in hard copy format that we couldnt say no! So, its available on Amazon now as a paperback.

The recipes in this article are all included in the book, which Im selling just above cost. I hope you enjoy it, and please, give us a review on Amazon to help more people to see it when theyre searching for a way to feed their family during difficult times.

Flat Broke Meal Plan

This meal plan is per person per week. Multiply it by the number of people in your family. Ive tried to make it as varied as possible, and there are a few things included that are not the cheapest on the market. Theyve been added for nutrient value.

Obviously, if there are allergies or foods that your family wont eat, feel free to substitute.

I shouldnt need to say this, but its impossible to write one meal plan that will work for every single reader. If you are vegan, gluten-free, diabetic, suffer from food allergies, eat keto, or strictly follow a particular nutritional lifestyle, this may not work for you.

With that being said, lets look at our menu! Stars * indicate that the full recipe is available in the book and you might also have your own recipes for these items.

Day 2: Cornbread* with butter and jam

Day 3: Leftover cornbread, sliced and heated with a butter and brown sugar drizzle

New Spotify Feature Allows You to Listen to Music and Podcast at the Same Time, so You Never Have to Deal With an Intrusive Thought Again "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

STOCKHOLM, Sweden Spotify announced they are releasing a new feature that will allow users to listen to a song and a podcast at the exact same time, thus eliminating any need to hear your own thoughts, distracted sources confirmed.

You know whats better than one thing? Two things! Thats why were excited to announce the simultaneous playback feature. You can now stream two pieces of audio from the same account at the same time, said Cleo Berger, a representative from Spotifys PR team. Users will love it because it will further enable them to consume more of our incredible content and they will no longer be subjected to the noise inside their own brain. This revolutionary technology will wipe away all the dissatisfaction you have with your job, home life, or general lot in life because you wont be able to hear anything other than the premium content only Spotify can provide.

Iliana Harris has been beta-testing this feature and hopes it will finally drown out her inner monologue.

When I bought a Bluetooth speaker for my shower, I thought Id finally solved this problem. But I was wrong. Despite the non-stop audio shield Id built around myself, the thoughts started to creep in even in the milliseconds of silence in a podcast or song, said Harris. This simultaneous play thing is a godsend. As long as I remember to pay my internet bill, Ill never again have to ponder my hellish existence. Ill never be forced to overthink a problem. Or even just regular think.

Dr. Carter Garmo, a psychologist who studies the effect of media on a persons well-being, has observed this behavior developing over time.

A deer can hear about 300 yards in any direction. Now imagine if you duct-taped an amplifier to its head, so its able to hear every sign of danger for miles. It would probably die within a day. Social media has basically done that to every human on the planet. said Garmo. Early forms of self-medication included watching The Office non-stop as background noise. And were only seeing examples get more extreme over time. You know, as I say this out loud, Im realizing this may explain why Suits was supposedly the number-one show on cable, but Ive never met anyone that claims to watch it.

Shortly after the release, Spotify announced theyd also struck a deal to install a fully immersive ad-funded audio experience on that little trail you walk to clear your head.

Band Getting Pretty Jealous of All the Attention Beach Ball in Crowd Is Attracting "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

RICHMOND, Va. Members of local prog rock band Hypernaut were noticeably jealous as the crowd at their show seemed more enthralled with bouncing around a beach ball than watching their performance, several party-hardy sources report.

We were in the middle of playing our 19-minute epic Star Saviour when I noticed the crowd jubilantly bouncing around that fucking inflatable toy, Hypernaut guitarist and singer Jon Riechmann explained. We came to that dive to wow them with our intricate riffs, technical mastery, and mind-altering lyrical themes about wizardry. Our music isnt about having fun or enjoying the moment, so that beach ball goes against everything we stand for as musicians. We dont even allow cell phones or booze at our shows for this exact reason.

Melissa Graham was front and center for the Hypernaut show and found the ball to be a nice touch to the set.

This was the most fun Ive ever had at a prog rock show and its all thanks to that beach ball, Graham said. Reminded me of the time someone brought a bouncy castle to a doom metal show. Really upped the vibe of the entire place. Everyone was actually enjoying themselves. Smiles, laughter, genuine joythat sort of stuff. But that Hypernaut dork made short work of that by viciously insulting the ball between songs. He even stage-dived a few times, but it seemed like he was only to try to snatch the ball out of circulation. Anyway, I would definitely go see that beach ball live again.

Geoff McCurdy, a Virginia Beach lifeguard, emphasized the importance of aquatic-based game equipment safety.

Everyone knows how much a beach ball can be the most fun one can have on a shoreline. But when used inside, a beach ball is one of the most deadly, fuck around and find out objects ever introduced into popular culture, McCurdy explained. One minute, the crowd is all happy and cool slapping the ball around, and the next minute, BAM! The ball pops in an unsuspecting concertgoers ear, never to be able to listen to another Sublime tribute band ever again. Tragicor maybe not so much in this particular case.

At press time, Hypernaut was seen designating one of their roadies to stand in the crowd on safety pin duty.

How I Stopped Worrying and Learned to Love the Bomb, Then Time Went on and We Started to Drift Apart and I Still Think About the Bomb Sometimes but Its Weird Now "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

There comes a point in everyones life when they begin to wonder if its time to put away childish things, meet a nice cobaltthorium G doomsday device, and settle down for good. But there are concerns. Like, am I doing the right thing? What if Im not ready? Is mutually assured destruction a true deterrent or a military-industrial complex to create a profitable, never-ending series of escalations?

Im here to tell you how I stopped worrying about all that and learned to love the bomb. But then, things were good but not great, and me and the bomb kind of became more friends than lovers, ya know?

Dont get me wrong, from the first moment I laid eyes on the bomb, I felt a deep connection. Compared to that, my feelings for assault rifles and tear gas were mere crushes. But the intensity of my feelings towards the bomb freaked me out. What if Im screwing up and picking the wrong bomb? Is there a hydrogen bomb out there that I might love more? Also, hows sex gonna work?

But I was able to put that all aside when I realized I wasnt really worried about the bomb, I was worried about me not being able to love. Well, we were happy for a while. But then time went on and I found myself daydreaming about other weapons of mass destruction, even when I didnt want to. When I realized I was signing up for a Belorussian dirty bombs OnlyFans, I knew we had drifted too far apart.

It wasnt that I didnt love the bomb anymore, it was just that the bomb and I were different than we once were. I had grown in one direction and the bomb had been upgraded with a new uranium core that would render the very surface of the planet dead and lifeless. We just werent compatible anymore.

I still think about the bomb sometimes, but it feels weird. Like someone elses memories. At least well always have the dream of destroying all human civilization forever. Well always share that.

The Effects of Wealth on (Swedish) Marriage and Fertility "IndyWatch Feed Fertility"

We estimate the effects of large, positive wealth shocks on marriage and fertility in a sample of Swedish lottery players. For male winners, wealth increases marriage formation and reduces divorce risk, suggesting wealth increases mens attractiveness as prospective and current partners. Wealth also increases male fertility. The only discernible effect on female winners is that wealth increases their short-run (but not long-run) divorce risk. Our results for divorce are consistent with a model where the wealthier spouse retains most of his/her wealth in divorce. In support of this assumption, we show divorce settlements in Sweden often favor the richer spouse.

That is from a new NBER working paper by David CesariniErik LindqvistRobert stling Anastasia Terskaya.

Recreational use is growing in popularity and, as it is, so are the number of people suffering from significant adverse effects.1 It is also used to make whipped cream and, in the car industry, to enhance engine performance.

Users describe the feeling of inhaling nitrous oxide as a feeling of floating or euphoria that dissipates within one to two minutes. On the street, nitrous oxide is also called balloons, hippie crack, nos, noz, chargers, laughing gas, buzz bomb, nangs and whippets.2,3

The effect is immediate. It can also cause dizziness and severe headache, and can stop you from thinking straight. Some people describe short-lived but intense feelings of paranoia that can be accompanied by auditory distortion and hallucination, which is when you hear and see things that are not there.

Nitrous oxide was first discovered in 1772 by Joseph Priestley and popularized by chemist Humphry Davy as an anesthetic and intoxicant. While some believe nitrous oxide is relatively innocuous as a recreational drug,4 others have experienced significant nerve damage related to the inactivation of vitamin B12 that it causes in your body.5

Nitrous Oxide Abuse a Growing Problem

The U.S., Australia and Europe report nitrous oxide has grown in popularity as a recreational drug.6 The gas can be purchased in lipstick-size capsules containing 0.2 ounces that are used to fill a balloon from which users inhale the gas. These are called little crackers and can have a bad taste. Nitrous oxide can also be purchased in large cylinders producing gas that is tasteless and has a stronger effect.

While The Guardian7 characterizes the gas used as widespread with relative safety, Dr. David Nicholl from Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust told Sky News:8

"Maybe once every five or six years, I'll see a patient who's had a stroke from taking cocaine. Yet, every week, I'm seeing this in my ward. So, from my point of view, this is actually a bigger problem."

The U.K. is seeing a spike in use, which has triggered talks of stricter regulations around the sale and use of nitrous oxide gas. Sky News9 desc...

Two Studies Test Quercetin And COVID Outcomes "IndyWatch Feed Health"

From Dr. Joseph Mercola

Since COVID-19 first entered the scene, exchange of ideas has basically been outlawed. By sharing my views and those from various experts throughout the pandemic on COVID treatments and the experimental COVID jabs, I became a main target of the White House, the political establishment and the global cabal.

Propaganda and pervasive censorship have been deployed to seize control over every part of your life, including your health, finances and food supply. The major media are key players and have been instrumental in creating and fueling fear.

I am republishing this article in its original form so that you can see how the progression unfolded.

Originally published: October 14, 2021

In an August 21, 2021, newsletter,1 Dr. Michael Murray discussed the use of quercetin for respiratory infection symptoms. In November 2020, hed suffered a very mild and brief bout of COVID-19.

He also recounts an anecdotal story of a friend who developed suspicious respiratory symptoms. His friend had been taking a number of supplements said to offer protection, but was still feeling awful.

As it turns out, the one thing hed not taken was quercetin, and as soon as he did, that same day, his symptoms started to dissipate. This experience, Murray says, is consistent with the results from two clinical trials that were recently published.

Quercetin seems to be a safe, far less expensive, and easier-to-obtain and it works by a similar mechanism, driving zinc into the cells to stop viral replication.

Statistical Improvement in Clinical Outcomes

In the first study,2 42 COVID-19 outpatients were divided into two groups. One group of 21 patients received standard medical therapy consisting of analgesics and an antibiotic (acetaminophen 500-milligram (mg) to 1,000-mg dose if body temperature was higher than 37.5 degrees C 99.5 F with a maximum daily dosage of 3 grams, and 500 mg azithromycin for three consecutive days).

The other group of 21 patients received standard therapy plus the equivalent of 600 mg of quercetin per day (divided into three doses) for seven days, followed by another seven-day course of 400 mg of quercetin per day (divided into two doses).

The quercetin was used with sunflower lecithin, which has been demonstrated to increase absorption in the gut by as much as 20 times, compared to pure quercetin formulations.

The main outcomes being evaluated were virus clearance and symptoms. After one week of treatment, 16 of the 21 patients in the quercetin group tested negative f...

The Framework for Laundering Money With Immunity "IndyWatch Feed Health"

As the global cabal continues to wage its war against the sovereignty of humanity, we're continuing to expose the unrestricted privileges and layers of immunity enjoyed by powerful organizations worldwide.

In November 2022, we featured Part 1 of investigative journalist Corey Lynn's Laundering With Immunity report, which revealed 76 international organizations and banks that enjoy and leverage these immunities, privileges and tax exemptions to maintain power and control.

"These aren't just ordinary organizations," Lynn explains. "They happen to be the prime organizations that run the new world order globalists' agendas against humanity, and they have hundreds of NGOs working with and through them."1

Part 2 of the report,2 discussed in detail in the video above,3 goes even deeper into key organizations pulling the strings behind the scenes, allowing them to "operate as ghosts without transparency or accountability." "Hold onto your seats," Lynn says.4

Layers of Immunity Allow for World Domination

To understand the threat that comes along with granting organizations the power to operate outside of laws and constitutions, it helps to understand how deep the layers of immunity go. The International Organizations Immunities Act (IOIA), passed by the U.S. Congress in 1945, granted dozens of organizations with privileges that equate to that of diplomats.

Each organization's headquarters receives additional protections from the government of the country in which it's located, via "headquarters agreements." Further, the protected organizations can extend their immunities to individuals, organizations or banks working with them, including family members of staff. According to Lynn:5

"To put it in layman terms, a wealthy bunch of corrupt families got together centuries ago and plotted how they wanted to control the world. The challenge was in how they would get around constitutions, state laws and international laws so they could operate outside the system that the rest of humanity had to function within.

This would afford them the ability to move like ghosts, transfer wealth, and camouflage all of their schemes with false storylines as they secured more and more control with each decade, while alleging how 'transparent'...

One Nation Condemns April Fools Day For Deliberately Targeting Their Voters "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

one-nation-senator

The One Nation party has taken time out from hassling overseas lobby groups for cash to speak out against April Fools Day. Claiming the day unfairly targeted their voters with elaborate scams and tricks.

How dare the inner city elite go after the decent, honest hardworking fools who vote for One Nation, said a Party Spokesperson. Our poor members have been flooding our offices with complaints about the pranks that have been pulled on them.

Everything from having to check to see if their refrigerator was still running to being asked to throw a brick down their toilet. One poor chap was forced go down to his hardware store and ask for a long wait. He was there for hours.

When asked why specifically they felt their voters were being targeted by April Fools Day, the Spokesperson replied: Come on have you met the people who vote for us. Sure theyre lovely salt of the earth people but most of them wouldve been given safety scissors during arts and crafts time at school, if you know what Im saying.

For too long the inner city elite have been targeting us with their hygiene, multi-culturalism and pranks. Well now its time for us to reclaim April Fools Day and chan...

China And Brazil Strike Deal To Ditch The US Dollar "IndyWatch Feed Health"

by ZeroHedge News

In a time when de-dollarization news are dropping fast and furious and even Elon Musk is now jumping on a bandwagon

which we first defined a decade ago, not a day goes by without some modest or not so modest shift toward a world in which the US currency fully weaponized after February 2022 for the entire world to see and fear is no longer the worlds reserve. And today was no exception.

According to the Brazilian government, China and Brazil have reached a deal to trade in their own currencies, ditching the United States dollar as an intermediary entirely, AFP reported.

The deal, Beijings latest salvo against the almighty greenback, will enable China, the top rival to US economic hegemony, and Brazil, the biggest economy in Latin America, to conduct their massive trade which amounts to $150 billion per year, and financial transactions directly, exchanging yuan for reais and vice versa instead of going through the US dollar.

In doing so China extends its bilateral, USD-exempting currency arrangements beyond countries such as Russia, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to now include the Latin American exporting powerhouse.

The expectation is that this will reduce costs promote even greater bilateral trade and facilitate investment, the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) said in a statement.

China is Brazils biggest trading partner, with a record US$150.5 billion (S$200 billion) in bilateral trade last year.

The deal, which follows a preliminary agreement in January, was announced after a high-level China-Brazil business forum in Beijing.

Not a problem, I always have clean cloth in a zip lock in my truck. In this case it was a bandana and a tenugui (like a...

If you are struggling to make it in this economy, you are not alone, because there are millions of other Americans in the exact same boat.  Needless to say, the cost of living has become extremely oppressive, and that has put a tremendous amount of financial stress on U.S. families.

Unfortunately, the Federal Reserve has chosen to fight inflation by aggressively hiking interest rates, and that is starting to cause massive problems.  The money supply is actually shrinking, the banking system has been thrown into a state of chaos, and we are witnessing a tsunami of layoffs that is unlike anything that we have seen since the Great Recession.

The recent increase under President Joe Biden is highlighted by a survey from FlexJobs, which found 69 percent of employed professionals either have a side job or want one.

This is our economy now.

Tens of millions of Americans have to work multiple jobs just to survive.

And at this point, more than 60 percent of the population is living paycheck to paycheck

The LendingClub report also revealed 62 percent of Americans, including 48 percent of high-income consumers, were living paycheck to paycheck in February, up two percentage points from the month prior.

But if you are able to find a way to scrape by from month to month, you should be quite happy, because according to author Matthew Desmond, approximately 18 million Americans have been living in a state of deep poverty

Bitcoin Beach Wallet Renamed To Blink In Addition To Changes Aimed At Making The App Global "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Blinks name and features reflect the projects desire to be used by Bitcoin communities across the world.

The Bitcoin Beach Wallet has officially changed its name to Blink to better reflect its vision of becoming the best tool for bottom-up Bitcoin adoption.

The wallet was initially launched in 2020 in El Salvador's El Zonte as part of the Bitcoin Beach project's goal of creating a circular Bitcoin economy. The name change reflects the wallet's expansion beyond its original intended purpose. The wallet has grown to become a popular Lightning wallet for Bitcoin community projects and Lightning enthusiasts worldwide.

Blink plans to enable any user to set their local currency in Q2 2023, making it easier for users to onboard and use bitcoin. The wallet also features in-app Bitcoin education, where users can earn sats for learning about Bitcoin's basics.

Blink also has merchant features that make it easy and flexible for businesses to receive payments over Lightning and on-chain, including LN address, a Lightning cash register, and a printable pay code. Blink also integrates Nostr, making it a go-to custodial wallet for tipping, testing or traveling.

According to Blink's team, "the declared purpose of becoming the best tool for bottom-up Bitcoin adoption has attracted tens of thousands of active users and many requests for features that would increase utility and accessibility across countries and cultures." The team's vision for Blink is for it to be available in every language where there's a Bitcoin community project.

The press release sent to Bitcoin Magazine described how the wallet's name change is significant, as its previous acronym was problematic. Blink's new name represents speed and positivity, and it will communicate with customers well before changing the name and icon of the app. According to the team, "the name Blink represents the glimmer in the eye of a person who just received their first sats. It's the embodiment of a transaction zapping across the world, connecting two people who never before could transmit value to each other."

The US Government Sold Nearly 10,000 Silk Road Bitcoin "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Uncle Sam made off with more than $215 million this month as it began to liquidate portions of seized bitcoin.

The United States government has been selling bitcoin confiscated from the Silk Road case in 2013.

According to a court filing, the government sold 9,861.1707894 Bitcoin on March 14, 2023, for a total of $215,738,154.98. After transaction fees, the net proceeds for the government were $215,522,416.83. The government also revealed that there are still around 41,490.72 bitcoin left to be sold, which they plan to sell in four more batches over the course of this year.

Previously, the government has auctioned bitcoin, opting instead to proceed with open market sales this time.

The Silk Road was a darknet marketplace that was used to sell drugs, amongst other services. Ross Ulbricht, the founder of the Silk Road, was convicted in 2015 and sentenced to life in prison. Ulbricht now seeks clemency, as a double life sentence without parole for entirely non-violent charges illustrates the governments desire to make an example of those who build platforms outside their jurisdiction.

Bitcoin Magazine recently opened an art gallery in Nashville, Tennessee, which currently houses a life-size jail cell Ross Ulbricht exhibit, including art that Ulbricht made in prison, as well as writing from ulbricht.

Bitcoins price action as of late has been exciting for those who watched it fall from all-time highs of $69,000, to local lows of less than $16,000. While the government has been selling bitcoin, other institutions like MicroStrategy have been acquiring it.

The Communication Monopoly in the US and Why Americans are so Stupid "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Image result for mesmerized by Tv lies

With 90% of news outlets, entertainment platforms and social media, owned by 6 major corporations one can see why the all mighty narrative is repeated verbatim when it comes to the political propaganda broadcast in America 24/7. You will hear the same lie repeated time and time again until the low IQ majority are mesmerized with misinformation. The average American has been distracted by sports, reality TV, celebrity worship, and video games just the way these foreign owned Woke corporations want them to be.

Image result for violent trannies

An upside down reality

Americans are confronted each and every day with a wall of illusory events that have either been secretly planned such as paid agitators rioting over some political talking point the left wants them to believe or the spin put on an event that is not reported but opinionated over. Example given: The recent shooting at the Christian school in Nashville, Tennessee was committed by a Transvestite female trying to be a male. Yet, all we see on TV and in the social platforms are demonstrations claiming that Transsexuals are being attacked, abused, and discriminated against. It is a world that operates in reverse, where lies have become truth and truth is now a lie punishable by a Democrat justice department willing to make you into a political prisoner if you prove to be too much of a problem for them.

Theres a difference but not enough

The lie has become as much an operating system for the Democrats as the DOS operating system for modern computers. Using the classic Communist Manifesto of Karl Marx, the Democrats accuse everyone they oppose, harass, and try to delegitimize as being guilty of the same things they specialize at-ruthless deception! Some people try to allege that there is no difference between both American political parties that the Republicans are simply destroying America at a slower pace, but they are the only party that confronts the Democrats, cross examines their hypocritical conduct under committee investigations, and exposes the leftists for their evil agenda. You hardly see any social media platforms calling out the Democrats for their destructive anti-American policies or their globalist supporting agenda.

Journal pulls papers by embattled scientist at national research center in France "IndyWatch Feed Health"

A nanotechnology journal has retracted two papers coauthored by a scientist in France who is accused of manipulating or reusing graphs and figures in nearly two dozen instances, Retraction Watch has learned.

The scientist, Jolanda Spadavecchia (pictured, is research director at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). In December, an article in the newspaper Le Monde described allegations of misconduct in Spadavecchias lab.

Spadavecchia is second author of one of the retracted papers, Interaction of Thermus thermophilus ArsC enzyme and gold nanoparticles naked-eye assays speciation between As(III) and As(V); she is senior author of the other, One-pot synthesis of a gold nanoparticleVmh2 hydrophobin nanobiocomplex for glucose monitoring.

The papers were published in Nanotechnology in 2015 and 2016, respectively. They have been cited 19 and 18 times, according to Clarivates Web of Science.

The retraction notices appeared online March 30. They state that an investigation by the journals publisher, IOP Publishing, found that a figure in each report was duplicated from another source without disclosure.

In the 2016 paper, an electron-microscopy image was apparently copied from the 2015 paper; that paper contained a histogram from a 2013 paper on which  Spadavecchia was an author.

The duplications in the two papers are not isolated incidents. In an open letter to CNRS published on Dorothy Bishops blog, the psychologist and scientific sleuth, along with 16 other researchers, responded to the recent article in Le Monde...
