Is It Rude To Not Give Up Your Seat On The Airplane So Others Can Sit Together? "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Traveling is a stressful prospect for many people, and when youre on the go with children, that stress can multiply quickly. Most families prefer to sit together on an airplane so that the parents can support each other and help if there are issues.

That said, we all know that choosing seats on planes can be tricky, and that you cant always get what you want without paying a pretty penny.

This person knew they were in for a long flight, so they paid a bit more to get the seat they wanted, hoping to be that much more comfortable.

So I travelled home today from Greece. The flight was roughly 10 hours and around this time of year its extremely hectic.

I booked my ticket specifically to be closer to the front of the plane so I can be closer to the gate when its time to get out.

I personally hate traveling so I spent a bit more money to be closer.

Once on the plane, a family asked them to change seats so they could sit together, but they wanted OP to move to a seat that was significantly cheaper than the one they paid extra for.

When I got on the plane, a family of four approached me and asked if I could switch spots. Normally Id be okay with that but switching spots would mean moving back 20 rows down which leaves me at an inconvenience and I would not be getting my moneys worth.

I rejected and said that I would like to keep my seat.

When they said no, the mother went off, trying to publicly embarrass or shame OP into doing what she wanted.

The woman said that I was being an a$$hole and I should just give up my seat so she could sit with her husband and kids (ouch right in front of her kids too). I said, re...

Towers in Doha Designed To Look Like Crossed Swords Are the Sites of Two Luxury Hotels

Katara Towers in Doha

Photo: Shakeel_MS/Depositphotos

On the banks of the Persian Gulf, a new hospitality tower rises up in the sky. But this is no ordinary building. The Katara Towers cross like the two swords and are meant to pay homage to Qatar's national emblem. The building is shared by two luxury hotels, the Fairmont Doha and Raffles, with each taking up one of the curved towers. Located in the city's green district Lusail, Katara Towers opened to the public in January 2023.

The two hotels divide the 300,000 square meters of space within the building and both manage to pack high-end luxury into every corner. Raffles is an all-suite accommodation offering stunning views of the Gulf and downtown. Most of its 132 suites have an outdoor terrace, and each features a personal butler service that can help cater the experiences to guests' needs. Some suites have specific themes, such as a Parisian suite designed to look like a Haussmann apartment in Saint-Germain-des-Prs.

Sprawling over two entire floors, the Royal Suite is the epitome of luxury and is designed for visiting dignitaries and VIPs. With double-height domed ceilings, the suite includes a game room, cinema, and a personal spa with a hammam. But even if you can't quite afford the Royal Suite, there are plenty of public spaces to give you a taste of what it would be like.

The rooftop bar is filled with gold-veined marble as a contemporary nod to the Silk Route. Guests are invited to take in live music and sip on a cocktail on the outdoor terrace. Alternatively, you can grab a bite at the Italian restaurant helmed by Michelin-star chef Enrico Crippa or lounge in the art deco-inspired cigar bar, which is filled with rare editions of 6,000 literary classics.

Across the way at the Fairmont Doha, th...

Loving Pet Parent Builds a Tennis Ball Catapult So His Pup Can Always Play Fetch "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Loving Pet Parent Builds a Tennis Ball Catapult So His Pup Can Always Play Fetch

Dog Playing Fetch With Catapult

Photo: GIF from Reddit

Playing fetch is one of the most fun parts of having a dog. But sometimes, our furry friends have much more energy than we do, and they're a bit bummed when we're ready to stop the game. Wouldn't it be great if they could catch as many tennis balls as their little hearts desired? A man called George G. wondered about this and, with the help of some age-old technology, created a device for his dog Olive to play fetch on her own.

The man, who is known as u/GoesUp on Reddit, shared a video of the catapult he made for his pup. He describes his invention as the first-ever recorded completely dog-operated tennis ball catapult. Despite its simple mechanism, getting the design right wasn't straightforward. He recalls turning to trial and error when it came to elements like overall height, weight balance, and cord attachment spots. Just thinking and tinkering. I tried to find plans on the internet and couldn't, so I started playing around, he wrote. According to a video posted to his YouTube channel, he built the first iteration about 12 years ago.

When asked about the details of his invention, he explained, The arm has a hole in it and pivots on a thin metal rod. He also went on to give further insight into the static part, which is made of two parallel boards. The arm swings between them, and pivots ona big nail. The nail is at the top. Paddle is indeed attached with an old hinge.

Above all, the catapult would be no...

The Fall Of Bitcoin In The Central African Republic: Why This Legal Tender Experiment Failed "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

<p class="subtitle">Just a year after making bitcoin legal tender, the Central African Republic (CAR) abandoned its plans to revitalize its country. Why?</p> <figure><a href="https://bm.b.tc/bitcoin2023-conf-tickets" rel= "nofollow"><img height="88" src= "https://bitcoinmagazine.com/.image/c_fit%2Ccs_srgb%2Cq_auto:good%2Cw_620/MTk2NDE0NDk3MjI3ODEwMjkw/bitcoin-2023-website-article-banner.png" width="620"></a></figure> <p><em>This is an opinion editorial by Jonathan Buck, founder of JB & GS Mining GmbH, a German bitcoin mining hosting company.

In April 2022, the Central African Republic (CAR) adopted bitcoin as legal tender, becoming the second nation in history to do so. However, just a year later, the nation reversed its decision. But what are the reasons behind this failure in the CAR?

Challenging Economic Conditions

The CAR, one of the poorest countries in the world, faces numerous obstacles, such as political instability, inadequate infrastructure and food shortages.

In the 2018 Human Development Index, the CAR ranked second to last, with around 79% of its 4.7 million residents living in poverty. More than three million people in the country are reported to require humanitarian assistance while more than 85% of the population lacks electricity.

One of the significant barriers to the success of the Bitcoin project in the CAR was surely the countrys limited internet access. With only about <a href= "https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/IT.NET.USER.ZS?locations=CF">10% percent of the population having access to the internet</a>, widespread adoption of digital currencies was highly unlikely.</p> <p>While Bitcoin has been helping to bank the unbanked globally, the digital currency alone cannot solve all of a country's underlying infrastructure problems. And while Bitcoin can be resilient off the grid, the lack of basic amenities such as electricity and internet in CAR likely hindered the spread and usability of Bitcoin there.</p> <h2>Skepticism And International Concern</h2> <p>The introduction of bitcoin as legal tender in CAR was met with skepticism, partly due to the countrys close ties with Russia, raising suspicions about its potential plans to <a href= "https://african.business/2022/10/technology-information/is-central-african-republics-crypto-push-linked-to-russia"> use cryptocurrencies to bypa...

Would You Kick Out A Friend For Insulting Your Dog? "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

For many pet owners, their dogs and cats (and bunnies and birds, etc) are like family. Theyre treated that way, loved that way, and, when necessary, defended that way.

OP has a hearing disability, and since moving to a new house with her golden retriever, has struggled with getting flashing doorbell signals installed.

I F27 recently moved into my new house. I have a golden retriever named Nala and she is the sweetest.

Im Deaf, too. That bit is important. When I moved in, I had a bit of trouble having flashing light doorbells put in and there was a while I had to go without.

My friends and family know to give me a call when they drop by instead of ringing the doorbell but unfortunately I have missed many a package this way.

So, she has missed some visitors and packages just because she didnt know they were there at least, she did until her dog figured out what was going on and began to alert her.

OP didnt train her, the dog just saw a job that needed to be done and did it.

For some reason, Nala caught onto this. At one point she began letting me know when someone was at the door. Shed do this in multiple ways. If I was in the living room where I can see the front door, shed go and paw at the door, or if I was upstairs shed come and gently headbutt me to let me know someones there. It took me a while to catch on to what she was trying to do, though.

And now, even though I have my doorbell installed she still does it. I did not teach her how to do any of this. She just decided to help me out lol.

One day, a friend came over to visit. First, the friend gave OP crap about naming her dog Nala like &#822...

BRICS countries announce plan for common currency

Everything is about to blow up as God destroys Evil Planet Earth has arrived at the most important crossroads in civilisation. With the aim of enriching themselves, the globalists, with the help of the political establishment, have done great damage to our planet, society, industry, culture, etc.   Now the globalists are beginning to panic after their corruption is recognised and confirmed all over the world. The oppressors, the cheaters, the exploiters, the slavers, in short all power exercised by a few over all of us will cease to exist. Mother Earth, as the source of feminine energy, will give her children everything they need.   When all ruling powers are removed, and competition gives way to cooperation; then, finally, the time of Abundance and Prosperity will dawn!   When all the awakened, wake up one sleeper, sufficient majority for our complete success is guaranteed. At least 70% awake participation guarantees a smooth transition to a better world, without major chaotic calamities.   We have already won the battle against the Deep State mafia, but the breakthrough without a fight can only come, if the cabal collapses of its own accord, or if the population awakens in large numbers and revolts. Calling on Star Being Support to Lay Down Your Path of Light "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

The multidimensional landscape around us in the Shift is terraforming at an incredible rate. The shadowside ramps up its machinations with the metaverse by the day, but likewise, Star Being support is infusing the field ever stronger. We must not sleepwalk into each day, thinking it will be just like yesterday. As ascending people, we must seize the moment and call on the frequencies of the Star Beings to Lay down a path of divine light through our lives. Here's how.

Star Being Nations Here in Support

It would appear that plenty of people have precious little cognisance of just how much life is changing on the planet right now. If they were aware, they'd be doing something positive about it on a daily basis. Plenty are still sleepwalking into today as if it were yesterday. We cannot afford to do that as the energies of the Shift now heighten and the shadow too writhes in its escalating distractive measures.
Have no fear. We can break down these dense field energies around the planet. If we're committed and aware of the various infusions happening, we can summon Star Being support to help infuse and anchor our star soul frequencies. These are the antidote to intervention. We can literally lay down a path of light. You'll feel held and supported in every step you take.
The question is, what do we need to be focussing on?

Watching for Derailment

First and foremost is to establish coherency and clarity of being in the lower dimensions - so you can anchor infusing higher dimensional light without intervention. What we need to hoist on board, is that there are derailing energies adept at channeling soul consciousness down diversionary alleyways of their own agenda - the Tall Whites for example, mathematical beings created by the old Annunaki who can create diversionary energetic pathways that surreptitiously divert the soul. They're using AI to plot these adjusting channels and pathways. They're tuning into manipulated DNA, from Atlantean times, but also from the various measures of the bogus pandemic. DNA is a receiver/transmitter, through which they can channel derailing influence - you see plenty being drawn into the "metaverse" that way. But it can be broken down and ejected. I've found the aligned Draconian energies extremely effe...

Casper Notches 14% Rally In The Weekly Charts Will CSPR Soar Higher? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

In the last week, the crypto market has been on an upswing, with most assets recording little amount of market gains. However, CSPR, the native token of the Casper Network, is one of the biggest gainers, surging by 13.9% over the last seven days.

While fairly popular, CSPR has been one of the most impressive tokens of 2023, with a staggering profit record. Chart data from Coingecko shows that the altcoin soared by 60% in the month of April, moving its total market gains in 2023 to a stunning 114.4%.

At the time of writing, CSPR is trading around $0.058, with a 6.5% price jump in the last 24 hours. Its daily trading volume, valued at $14.98 million, is up by 41.65%. Meanwhile, its market cap value is set at an impressive $682.12 million.

Casper

What Is Casper (CSPR), The Future-Proof Blockchain?

Casper is a developer-friendly, business-centered public blockchain designed to serve as a platform for the secure, fast, and efficient development of sustainable blockchain-based products.

Touted as the future-proof blockchain, Casper is the brainchild of product developer Medha Parlikar and angel investor Mrinal Manohar. The Casper mainnet was launched in 2021, and it runs on a unique variant of the proof-of-stake consensus algorithm known as the Highway Protocol.

The Highway Protocol functions as an energy-efficient and flexible consensus protocol, which enables networks to finalize transactions in a non-binary manner, thus allowing blocks on Casper to be created in a faster time than other blockchains.

In addition, Casper offers users upgradeable smart contracts, another unique network feature that allows developers to modify their already deployed contracts, enabling businesses to build blockchain products that adapt to consumer needs and market trends.

Casper is also popular for its low gas fee structure supported by its advanced PoS mechanism. As earlier stated, its native token is known as CSPR and is utilized for payment of network fees, staking, and rewards for network validators.

Will CSPR Soar Higher?

Due to CSPRs remarkable performance, there is much speculation on the ability of the token to maintain its current bullish momentum as investors try to determine profit-making opportunities.

According to the popular crypto prediction site, Coincodex, the investor sentiment presently surrounding CSPR is quite bullish. Meanwhile, its Fear and Greed Index hovers around 60, indicating the t...

Radix (XRD) Gains 14% In The Past Week, Continues Impressive Form "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

XRD, the native token of the Radix network, looks set to end the month in great form, having recorded an impressive 14.2% price surge in the past week. According to data from CoinGecko, the cryptocurrency is the 46th-largest token, with a current market cap of $1.1 billion.

Meanwhile, blue-chip cryptocurrencies BTC and ETH have also gained 5.2% and 1.5%, respectively, in the last seven days.

Radix Up By 167% In 30-Day Price Rally

The past weeks headlines were dominated by the First Republic Banks ongoing crisis and the anticipated return of Bitcoins price to 30k. As a result, the market performance of most altcoins, including Radix, has largely gone under the radar.

CoinGecko data reveals that RDX is one of the best-performing tokens in the last seven days. Interestingly, a broader look at the market shows that this bullish run stretches as far back as a month.

In the past 30 days, XRD has rallied a staggering 167% price increase, reaching a 12-month high of $0.15 level during the period. This price upswing came with a boost in market capitalization, enabling Radix to break into the top 50 largest cryptocurrencies by market cap.

As of this writing, XRD is valued at $0.111545, tallying a 5.1% price jump in the past 24 hours. However, it is worth noting that the coins trading volume slipped by 16.40% in the same period, indicating a recent dip in market activity.

Radix

Milestone Radix Upgrade, Babylon, To Launch In July

It appears that the recent price rally of Radix is connected to the impending upgrade slated for July. According to Markus Thielen, head of research and strategy at Matrixport, Radixs March fundraiser and the highly-anticipated upgrade seem to have heightened interest in the XRD token.

Price action reveals that the XRD gained more than 15% on March 23, the day the fundraiser was announced. A week after, the coin would experience a remarkable price surge in the wake of the Release Candidate network (RCNet) rollout.

That said, the mainnet, codenamed Babylon, is scheduled to launch on 31st July and introduce smart-contract functionality to the decentralized Radix network. Babylon will enable developers to build robust and excellent decentralized applications.

The Radix Public Network upgrade from Olympia to Babylon will occur on or about July 31st, 2023, paving the way for global Web3 and DeFi to finally exit the tech demo stage with a mainstream-capable user and developer experience, Radix stated in its...

Blackrock, the Sixth Rock from the Sun "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Where did they get the name Blackrock for this company and how does it relate to their values? The planets are sometimes referred to as rocks like in the "Third Rock from the Sun". What then might the "black rock" refer to?

Saturn Worship and the Black Cube

"You might not know it,but the entire world has been worshiping Saturn for thousands of years. The Cult has never stopped and its rites are still present to this day. Saturn, dubbed the "Lord of the rings", is the reason why we exchange rings at weddings or put halos on the heads of the Gogly people. This article exposes the attributes of the god saturn and the perpetuation of his cult through in pop culture."

Saturn: the Ancient Sun God

"The Babylonians were apparently the first to develop systematic observations of the planets, and they recorded the celestial motions with considerable skill. But in laying the foundations of later astronomy, they also preserved a crucial link with the past. Again and again they asserted a claim that could only appear preposterous to the modern translator. They declared that the distant planets were the *gods* of former times.

Sumerian myths, we noted earlier, say that the rites and standards of "kingship" descended from the central luminary An, founder of the Golden Age. In Babylonian myth the Sumerian An appears as Anu, first in the line of gods and kings. And according to the best authorities on Babylonian astronomy, the god Anu was mysteriously linked to *the planet Saturn*. The association was stated most bluntly by the renowned expert on Babylonian astronomy, Peter Jensen, in *Die Kosmologie der Babylonier*: Anu was Saturn."

Saturn and the Black Sun - ROBERT SEPEHR

The Black Sun

"The Black Sun is a well-known occult and esoteric symbol. Most people are probably aware of the Black Sun because theres a large mosaic of it incorporated into the floor of the Wewelsburg Castle in Germany. The Black Sun is an ancient symbol and can be seen throughout various cultures and is usually associated with Saturn. Some names for Saturn in ancient astrology were Great Lord Dark Sun and Clothed in Black and Saturn was apparently referred to as the Black Star in old Judaic beliefs. Saturn was called black in the Babylonian cuneiform texts and Greco-Roman writings. As well as calling Sa...

Render Delivers With 40% Gain As RNDR Dominates Sunday Charts "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Among the top gainers on Sunday, CoinMarketCap shows that Render (RNDR) has achieved a 41% growth over the past week. The crypto actually dominated the roster of the days leading coins.

Render (RNDR) has been among the top performing crypto assets in the last few weeks. Render allows owners of the increasingly powerful graphics processing units (GPUs) industry to deliver computing power during periods of low demand.

Render (RNDR) At A Glance

The Render (RNDR) Network is a blockchain-powered, decentralized, high-performance, distributed-computing platform. It was developed to help businesses in the film, animation, gaming, and architecture industries complete complicated rendering projects quickly and affordably.

To fulfill the need of large-scale rendering projects, the RNDR Network offers a scalable and decentralized solution by letting users leverage underutilized GPU capacity from other network participants to speed up their rendering processes.

The RNDR coin is the in-network currency that may be exchanged for computer power, staked for network rewards, and used to elect leaders. In sum, the RNDR Network utilizes blockchain technology and distributed computing in an effort to completely overhaul the rendering process.

Network Gains Traction And Attention

Its no surprise that Render has been getting a lot of attention lately, what with the proliferation of the metaverse and the growing need for rendering services in a wide range of enterprises. So, the recent uptick in RNDR should not come as a surprise: widespread consensus among the rendering community to get ready for the inevitable increase in demand.

Render debuted in 2017 and spent the first half of 2018 in private sale. Render takes advantage of Ethereums built-in security features when uploading and transferring nodes to operators, as the network is based on the Ethereum blockchain.

Cardano Price Analysis: $0.46 Hinges On Breaching This Level "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Over the past few weeks, the price of Cardano has experienced significant volatility. The altcoin initially rose from $0.37 but was later rejected at $0.45. However, over the last 24 hours, there has been a slight increase of 1.3%, while the weekly chart indicates a 6.2% price increase.

The technical analysis of ADA suggests that the bulls are attempting to take control of the price. Demand and accumulation showed signs of recovery.

Despite the slow progress in the ADA price, there is a critical resistance level that must be surpassed to trigger a rally. For the bulls to gain further momentum, buying strength must increase significantly in the upcoming trading sessions.

Additionally, major altcoins have been stagnant due to Bitcoins difficulty in reaching $30,000. If BTC reclaims this level, it could propel ADA bulls to drive up the price in the subsequent trading sessions. Furthermore, the market capitalization of ADA has recovered, indicating that buying pressure is returning to the market.

Cardano Price Analysis: One-Day Chart

Cardano

At the time of writing, ADA was trading at $0.40. The overhead resistance was $0.42. This level has proven to be a significant hurdle for Cardano in the past, and multiple attempts to break through it have been unsuccessful.

However, if ADA manages to move above this resistance level, it could trigger a rally and push the price towards $0.46.

On the other hand, if the price falls from its current level, the support level stands at $0.39. If ADA fails to remain above this support level, it could lead to a drop in price to $0.36. The amount of ADA traded in the last session turned green, indicating an influx of buyers.

These Terrifying Stories Are 100% True "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

I dont know about you, but Im always down for a scary story. Ive been down for scary stories pretty much since I started reading my own books even if that meant I had to sleep with the lights on some nights as a kid.

Scary stories that are true are even better, so lets dive into these Reddit gems.

OMFG!

Not as scary as some of the stories here, but I was pretty horrified when my dad told me the story.

There are some really big houses in the woods in my hometown. One of the owners went out drinking with his buddies and realized he forgot the key to the gate when he got home. So he decided to just climb the gate. While climbing in his drunken state he slips and his leg gets pierced by one of the spikes on the gate. He was hanging there but too afraid to call for his wife. Since he was sure she would just open the automatic gate from inside the house and since it was one of those gates that slides to the side it would just rip his leg off if she did.

He was hanging there the entire night until his wife woke up, saw him and called the fire department. My dad (who is one of the firefighters that showed up) said they had to saw of the spike to get him off.

Just imagine hanging from your own gate all night not being able to call for help.

A twist ending.

I would call it creepy more than scary, but my moms friend had a small house and lived alone. She noticed weird things: a batch of soup depleting faster than usual, missing eggs, damp towels in the hamper when she hadnt used any, extra dishes in the dishwasher, etc This went on for months, she thought she was just being forgetful.

One day she heard some thumping around in her attic and went to investi...

He Refused To Pay For His Nieces Singing Lessons. Does That Make Him A Jerk? "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Family is tricky for some people, and sometimes no matter how nice or patient a person is, they finally reach the end of their rope.

OP and his wife are child-free (by choice), have good jobs, make solid financial decisions, and therefore have expendable income for travel, hobbies, and the like.

I am 48 years old, married but childfree by choice. Its something my wife and I agreed on early in our relationship. We both have pretty good jobs and are able to afford many expensive items and activities.

I attribute this to our jobs obviously, but also the fact that we are child free and live in a one bedroom apartment.

I own a manufacturing plant that was given to me from my father. On that property, I store 4 classic cars that I have bought/restored. I have always been a car guy. I plan to buy another car in the next year too.

His sister has not made the best decisions in her life, and has a couple of children, two ex-husbands, and not a lot of extra cash to go around.

I have one sister who is younger than me and never made the best decisions in life. She has a boyfriend who she lives with after getting divorced twice. Shes also in her early 40s. She has 2 kids who already seem smarter than their mom. She makes an okay living but shes the breadwinner.

Her bf that she lives with spends most of his time stoned and playing Xbox. Hes always looking for a new job. Or blaming the capitalist system for him not having a job.

Recently, she asked OP if he would pay for her daughters singing lessons and he declined (politely, he says).

Her daughter (10) is a very good singer. I dont have an ear for talent but to me She is very good. My sister has wanted to enroll her in lessons with a private coach but cannot afford it.

She has asked me to help her out since she is embarrassed to ask our parents. She also does not speak to the father of her daughter.

Surreal Photos Reveal the Destructive Aftermath of the Cumbre Vieja Volcano Eruption

House on La Palma Buried Under Volcanic Ash

Austrian photographer Wolfgang Bohusch is known for his editorial and lifestyle photography, but he still makes time for personal projects. In 2021, he began tracking the Cumbre Vieja volcano eruption in the Canary Islands, sparked by his love for the location and for geology. What followed was an adventure to see the aftermath of this natural disaster that ended with a surreal portfolio of images.

Cumbre Vieja is located on the island of La Palma on the Canary Islands. The active volcano ridge had been silent for 50 years, but in 2021 it rumbled to life once again. A little over a week after a swarm of earthquakes occurred under Cumbre Vieja, the volcano began erupting. The event lasted for 85 days, making it the longest eruption in the history of La Palma.

The effects of the volcano were dramatic. Over 1,000 hectares of land were covered by lava, which destroyed over 3,000 homes. At its widest point, the river of lava stretched out over 2 miles, and 7,000 people were forced to evacuate.

As Bohusch tracked the event from home, he became curious about the state of the island in the aftermath of the volcano. So, once the situation was under control and the airport opened up, he hopped on a plane to see what he could find.

The results speak for themselves. Bohusch artfully captured the effects of the volcano. His photographs are filled with black, powdery volcanic ash that has swallowed up much of the island. In one image, we see the front of a home engulfed in ash. The brilliant burgundy hue of the exterior provides a rich contrast to the remnants of the volcano that creep over the fence.

In another image, the roof of a car peeks out from a river of ash, almost completely submerged. Bohusch also gives a glimpse of the recovery, as we see a front loader attempting to clear a path through the black powder. As this powerful piece of machinery almost looks like a toy as makes its way through the sea of ash and attempts to...

If Youve Ever Worried You Might Be Sick, Heres What Made These Folks Suspect They Had Cancer "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

I dont know anyone who hasnt worried at some point in their lives that they might have cancer. Its the boogeyman lurking in the night, and thanks to the internet, most of our symptoms could be a tipoff for doctors.

These people have actually been diagnosed with cancer, though and if youre curious, heres what made them make that appointment.

A persistent pain.

I had a persistent pain in the middle of my sternum. Doctors thought it was costochondritis (essentially just inflammation of a joint). I stopped working out and lifting heavy things for 3 months but it didnt go away. Eventually I started having nightsweats and random aches.

After I fractured my hip, I got an MRI and biopsy and they diagnosed me with stage IV non Hodgkins lymphoma. I got chemo and Ive been in remission for 5 years.

Way to go, Dad.

I was fooling around in a mall as a kid. So My dad grabbed me by the neck to make me behave. He felt a lump on my neck and immediately began to get nervous.

We went to the doctor the next day, caught the cancer before it spread and was able to surgically remove it about a month later.

Got super lucky.

Just acting strange.

My dad was acting strange. He looked disheveled somewhat and was telling the same stories. Well hes 86, that can come with age. But he was also swerving on the road driving and he called me one day to take him to his doctor.

Long story short, stage 4 GBM; brain cancer. Had surgery, was ok for a couple of months but was gone a couple months after that. Good part was, had had no pain and didnt suffer.

The Shocking Truth: Chainsaws Were Initially Designed for Childbirth Before the Age of Sanitation and Antibiotics "IndyWatch Feed Fertility"

Prepare for a shocking revelation: the chainsaw, a tool commonly associated with cutting down trees, was originally designed to assist in childbirth by hacking away at the pelvic area. This horrifying truth exposes a dark chapter in the history of medical procedures before the advent of sanitation and antibiotics.

The Chainsaws Origin in Childbirth

Contrary to popular belief, the chainsaw was initially invented as a medical instrument to facilitate childbirth. Specifically, it was employed in a highly dangerous and now obsolete procedure called a symphysiotomy, in which the cartilage connecting the left and right pelvic bones was severed, thus widening the pelvis for an easier delivery.

Childbirth has always presented its challenges, but in the days before nitrous oxide, proper hygiene, and the widespread use of morphine, it was even more daunting. The first documented account of a successful cesarean section (C-section) dates back to 16th-century Switzerland, when a professional cow castrator reportedly performed the surgery on his wife. The legitimacy of this account, recorded 82 years later, is debated among historians. However, it states that both the mother and child survived, with the child living to be 77 years old.

In the United States, the earliest published record of a C-section is far more gruesome. In an 1830 issue of the Western Journal of Medical and Physical Sciences, Dr. John L. Richmond recounted the case of a difficult delivery during a storm. As labor did not progress and the womans life was at risk, the doctor decided to perform a C-section using only a set of standard pocket instruments. With a crooked pair of scissors, he cut into the mother, but complications arose due to the large size of the fetus and the mothers substantial body fat. Ultimately, he chose to save the mother at the cost of the childs life. This narrative underscores the immense risks and rarity of C-sections before the availability of antiseptics and anesthetics.

The Invention of the Chainsaw Between 1597 and the advent of safe C-sections, symphysiotomies were more commonly performed. In this procedure, the pubic symphysis, a cartilage joint above the vulva, was severed to enlarge the pelvis and ease childbirth. As with other surgeries of that time, the risks were high, and speed was crucial to minimize the chances of shock or fatal infection.

In the late 18th century, Scottish doctors John Aitken and James Jeffray devised a more efficient solution: the worlds first chainsaw. Inspired by a watch chain, this flexible saw featured teeth moved by a hand-crank, significantly expediting the process. Despite the gruesome image of a doctor operating a chainsaw in the pelvic region, the device, produced in 1806, was considered a vast improvement. It was later used for removing diseased joints and eventually became mechanized.

It was only in 1905 that the chainsaws pote...

Watch a Young Cellist Successfully Complete One of the Hardest Cello Pieces Ever

Brannon Cho playing Prokofievs Sinfonia Concertante in 2018

When you think of the most famous cellists of our time, cello masters like Yo-Yo Ma come to mind. But back in late January, an unexpected clip from a 2018 performance skyrocketed on Reddits r/toptalent that shared the prowess of Brannon Cho.

The post was titled Brannon Cho playing Prokofievs Sinfonia Concertante, arguably the hardest cello piece ever. Cho, who was only 24 years old at the time, is seen fervently playing the string instrument with incredible speed. The entire piece is about 40 minutes long, and as James M. Keller for the San Francisco Symphony describes, the [cello] is active nearly throughout, with strikingly little time off. Its divided into three long movements. Each movement has a variety of tempos and showcases the wide range of capabilities the cello has.

The part of the clip that has surged in popularity is at the very end of the piece, which is also the most replayed portion of the performance on YouTube. Keller describes this portion: The solo cello eventually intones a motif consisting of arpeggios. That marks the final sprint towards the finish line, by which point the cellists arpeggios have led to the stratosphere of the instruments range.

As Cho alludes in his Instagram post, the cello-orchestra...

Betsey Lewis: Earth and Alien Stargates "IndyWatch Feed Uncanny"

Einstein and astrophysicists have long theorized the existence of wormholes throughout the universe allowing humans to travel across time and space within minutes or hours. In Stargates, Betsey Lewis, Earth Mysteries Investigator for nearly 50 years, reveals for the first time there are countless stargate portals on planet Earth used by extraterrestrials to travel the intergalactic highway.

Stargates exist everywhere on Earthover land under our oceans and on planets. Government and military have known about the Stargates and ETs but have denied their existence publicly until recently when Naval pilots revealed they tracked them on radar off the coast of Southern California, a hot spot for UFOs. Discover the locations of the worldwide portals where UFOs are witnessed, human abductions take place, and inexplicable events happen. Discover how ETs incorporate advanced holographic imaging to create certain historical dramas. Lewis recounts amazing stories of human abductions, human cloning, cattle mutilations, and human genetic experiments to alter DNA. The most shocking revelation is the U.S. military has been colluding with extraterrestrials for over 50 years.

In November 2017, Robert Bigelow, billionaire, and previous owner of Skinwalker Ranch for 20 years, was interviewed on CBS 60 Minutes and asked if the aliens are already here. He replied, "They are right under people's noses." Lewis believes Bigelow's strange remark suggested, aliens are right under our feet and under our oceans!"

Betsey Lewis (aka B.E. Lewis) is an author, radio personality, world-renowned psychic, and Earth mysteries investigator. At eight months old Betsey and her parents encountered a UFO in Northern Idaho and may have been abducted by aliens for two hours during their missing time. This began a lifetime of paranormal experiences for her. For over forty-five years, Lewis has investigated UFOs, cattle mutilations, ancient petroglyphs in Idaho and Nevada, ancient civilizations from the Northwest to Central America, UFOs, and other Earth mysteries. She was a keynote speaker at the 2013 UFO Conference near Las Vegas and a keynote speaker at the 2018 Stargate to the Cosmos in Albuquerque, New Mexico and has been a featured guest on Foxs KTRV News, Coast-to-Coast AM, Ground Zero, KTALKs The Fringe, Fade to Black, KCORs Hyperspace, and other popular radio shows. She predicted on Newsmax that Donald Trump would win the 2016 election six months before he was elected as U.S. President. To learn more about Betsey Lewis visit her website at: www.BetseyLewis.com.

Dog Mom Is Shocked to Watch Her Freshly Groomed Pup Descend Into Giant Mud Puddle

groomed white dog in a puddle of mud

Photo: Screenshot from TikTok

For many dog parents, bathing their pets or taking them to a grooming salon is a whole ordeal. But the results are worth it for a squeaky clean pup that smells nice and has a fluffy coat. Unfortunately for some, there's little time to enjoy it before their pooches decide to roll in the dust, make a hole in the garden, or get soaked in the rain. One particular dog named Luna decided she had had enough of being cleanmuch to the dismay of her humanwho captured a painfully funny video of her pet having the time of her life playing in the mud.

Luna's owner, Fernanda Kreibich, had just had the dog washed and groomed; her white coat was extra shiny and soft. The pair then decided to pay a visit to Kreibich's fiance's outdoor worksite. Since it had rained, many puddles had formed on the premises. Suddenly, the pooch decided to follow two other dogs at the worksite into a large puddle. In a matter of milliseconds, the once spotless white pup was covered in mud.

The craziest part? Kreibich describes Luna as averse to getting dirty, usually keeping herself clean and going as far as avoiding getting her paws wet. She doesnt like it, Lunas mom explained. She wont even step on the grass after its rained. Shes super clean. That's why her reaction to seeing her pet have a change of heart regarding dirt led her to react to her new love for mud with the words, My god.

I dont know what happened. I couldnt believe it. She was having fun [in the mud], Kreibich said, still finding it hard to believe. She was super proud.

While many would only sigh at having to take their pet back to the groomer, the dog mom is happy...

XRP Trading Volume Slumps While Price Gains "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Since 2020, XRP has struggled to remain relevant and valuable to its investors. The US Securities and Exchange Commissions attack on the project brought a drastic decline that no one expected. However, amid the ongoing case, XRP showed resilience, leading supporters to commend it as an asset to watch.

Even though the price has seen some pullbacks and rallies, the trend aligns with the fluctuations in the overall crypto market due to environmental factors. But today, the global market cap is up by 0.06%. XRP surpassed the first five assets with a 2.33% price gain in 24 hours.

XRP Price Gains Even With Declining Network Activities

The current price outlook for XRP is positive. The controversial asset trades above its 50-day and 200-day simple moving averages.

XRP price is $0.4814, with a 2.33% increase in 24 hours. Its seven-day price gains also show an addition of 5.89% in the same time frame. The hourly price change is also green, and CoinMarketCap data indicates the asset recorded a price change of 2.87% since yesterdays closing price of $0.4803.

The difference between XRPs opening and closing price indicates an uptrend since April 28, and continuing today. Theres hope for more gains as it remains above its SMAs.

Ripple XRP

However, the trading volume is declining by 48.86% in 24 hours. This indicates the traders uncertainty, given the upcoming summary judgment by Judge Torres.

XRP Technical Outlook

The Simple Moving Average (SMA) indicator computes the closing price of XRP in the nearest days. Since XRP is trading above its 50-Day and 200-Day Simple Moving Average (SMA), there are strong bullish signals in the market in the coming days to weeks.

For the past 39 days, March 21, 2023, there have been persistent Buy signals from the 200-Day SMA, while the 50-Day Buy Signal occurred in the last two days, April 27. As such, the XRP price may experience more rallies, resulting in price volatility for the asset.

On the other hand, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) value of XRP is 49.02 at the time of writing. Its upward movement shows that th...

Fluorescent Photographs by Tom Leighton Highlight the Remarkable Complexities of Plants After Dark "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

All images Tom Leighton, shared with permission

Plants are incredible stores of energy, says photographer Tom Leighton, whose fluorescent-tinged images of foliage highlight the incredible night life of plants in his ongoing Variegation series. He explores the detailed colors and textures of leaves and stems, accentuating an important counterpart to the complex daytime process of photosynthesis, which creates chemical energy and oxygen from sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide. After the sun fades, the process of photosynthesis stops and respiration begins, he says. Plants begin to burn their stored sugars and breathe back in some of the precious oxygen they have created.

Leighton primarily focuses on species found around his native Cornwalloften in his own gardenand captures contrasting venation patterns, serrated edges, and multiple colors. He digitally removes the green tones we associate with vegetation to reveal glowing violet, pink, and blue hues. It is very experimental There are limitless options and techniques that I combine to get to each finished image, he says, sharing that a minor color choice or a small crop can transform the outcome.

Sumptuous Boutique Hotel in India Is a Hidden-Gem Swathed in Red "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Sumptuous Boutique Hotel in India Is a Hidden-Gem Swathed in Red

Bedroom at Villa Palladio Jaipur

Inspired by the tradition of great hotels of the past, Villa Palladio Jaipur is a country estate that transports guests to another world. The brainchild of entrepreneur Barbara Miolini, this nine-room boutique hotel located just outside Jaipur, India, opened its doors in September 2022. Nestled on three acres, the estate has been transformed into an opulent retreat thanks to Miolini and Dutch designer Marie-Jean Oudejans.

Miolini and Oudejans had a lot to work with, as the property's existing Rajasthani haveli was in good shape and provided a starting point for other renovations. Not only did they create a large veranda and pool house, but they also worked with a landscaper to transform the grounds into a Mughal garden filled with water features.

In terms of aesthetics, Villa Palladio Jaipur combines European and Indian sensibilities. The white exterior is accented with pops of red; the color provides a through line, as the interiors are painted in different shades ranging from deep crimson to cherry red. And, in keeping with Jaipur's reputation as the Pink City, pink accents pop up across the villa. Black and white checkboard floors provide a contrast to the floral motifs painted on the walls, giving the space an eclectic, retro feel that is reminiscent of a 19th-century Grand Hotel.

Pillars, niches, and multifoil arches all add to the architectural interest of the villa, while the local, hand-crafted Rococo furniture fits the space perfectly. For all of its visual interest, Villa Palladio is remarkably balanced. Miolini and Oudejans have walked the line between visually pleasing and overwhelming perfectly. While there is always something to see, it's always just enough to leave one satisfied.

In addition to the luxurious surroundings, guests are also provided with plenty of amenities. These include cocktails at the pavilion bar, an extravagant breakfast feast, as well as spa treatments, and a yoga room that overlooks the garden. And, of course, the...

Cosmos (ATOM) Price Displays Intense Momentum Whats Driving The Rally? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Cosmos (ATOM) demand has risen these past few days, resulting in a significant performance. According to CoinMarketCap data ATOM price has fallen to $11.69 after gaining momentum.

The current market cap of ATOM is $3.3 billion, with a 24-hour trading volume of $100 million. However, the trading volume is still down by 31.18%, indicating reduced network activity.

Reason Behind The Surge In Cosmos?

Cosmos is a constantly growing network of interconnected blockchains created with developer-friendly application components.

Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol is the technology that connects these apps. The SDK platform Cosmos offers allows programmers to produce top-notch decentralized apps (dApps).

Other developers have also constructed applications on top of it, such as MM Finance and VVS Finance. Cosmos (ATOM) recent price surge could be attributed to its influx of developers topping that of Ethereum.

The other reason for the ATOM price increase might be the announcement from dYdX that it is building an independent blockchain on the Cosmos ecosystem instead of Ethereum.

Also, Bitcoin price soared above $29,000, pushing the market cap of all cryptocurrencies to surpass $1 trillion. Many crypto assets, including ATOM, recorded price growth due to correlation to BTC.

ATOM Price Action

Below is the technical analysis of ATOM price action on the 4-hour trading timeframe. And also the possible resistance and support zones.

Cosmos has broken through the short-term resistance level of $11.69 and is currently trading between $10.571 and $15.484 support and resistance levels. ATOM must break through the $15.484 primary resistance level to confirm the bullish momentum.

Cardano Network Transactions Surge Despite Market Downturn "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Cardano (ADA) is in a downtrend as it sheds some of its recent price gains. Despite the price decline, it is experiencing a surge in transaction volume on the network. The network holds the enviable reputation of being a developers hub, with several exciting projects launched on its network.

However, it is still subject to the general economic factors influencing cryptocurrencies, such as the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

Crypto Analyst Reviews ADAs Performance

A crypto analyst on Twitter, Elite XBT, noted that Cardano transaction volume has increased since the start of 2023. However, he stated that market volatility had put the price under significant pressure.

According to the chart, the transaction volume fell below 10B ADA in January 2023. However, it has risen above 20B ADA and possibly reclaimed its 50B ADA at its all-time high (ATH) value last year.

According to another analyst, the increase in transaction volume is a function of increased activities from the whales and institutional holders. He believes the increased volume is a bullish sign and supports ADAs swing into an uptrend.

Also, Input Output Global (IOG), responsible for Cardanos research and development, shared its weekly development report. The report revealed that Cardanos network had processed 65.4 million transactions within the past week.

Notably, Cardano surpassed 4 million wallets on its network in March 2023. It indicates the continued growth potential of the Cardano network as more investors sign up.

Twitter user Alexander Legolas also believes that the current trend would shift from bear to bull as the protocols and upgrades become more attractive to users.

What Next For ADA?

ADA is still trading in the red today, forming a second consecutive red candle on the daily chart. The bears have returned to push their price down in the last two days. Its Relative Strength Index (RSI) is 51.24 in the neutral zone. Notably, the indicator is moving downwards due to bearish pressure.

ADAs Moving Average Convergence/Divergence (MACD) has dropped below its signal line, a bearish sentiment. However, despite its price slump, ADA has remained above its 50-day and 200-day Simple Moving Averages (...

Achieving The American Dream: Why Natalie Brunell Shares The Stories Of Bitcoin "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Taught from a young age to work hard and think for herself, media pro Natalie Brunell is dedicated to sharing Bitcoin with the world.

Oftentimes, when you hear about the American dream, you think of a heart-warming success story. The entrepreneur who made millions. Or the immigrant family that changed the trajectory for their children. And while these inspiring stories do exist, there are many others who came to America hoping for a better life only to be met with countless obstacles that hindered them from achieving their American dreams.

Modern-day monetary policy runs on fluctuating interest rates and inflation. Many people are not aware that the U.S. dollar, which was founded on a gold-reserve system, has not only been off of the gold standard for over 50 years, but is now backed by the United States military and petrodollar. The amount of control that the United States government has on those living in poverty is astronomical. Because of these limiting restrictions, among other factors, the American dream has become much harder to achieve.

However, Bitcoin can help change this negative cycle.

Natalie Brunell burst onto the Bitcoin scene in 2021. She was born in Poland and immigrated with her parents to America as a young child. Growing up with a family that was determined to build a new life in America, the value of hard work and a healthy amount of skepticism was ingrained into Brunell for as long as she can remember.

With over ten years of experience in the media sector, she took a risk and started her own Bitcoin podcast. Since then, Coin Stories has been wildly successful and influential in highlighting power players in the Bitcoin space.

Her story is inspiring and welcoming to anyone interested in getting started on their Bitcoin journeys.

How did you first learn about Bitcoin and what specifically drew you to it?

I first learned about Bitcoin in 2016 from a group of friends while working as a local news reporter covering breaking and investigative stories in Sacramento, California. I didnt understand Bitcoins technological innovation or the mission of Bitcoins proponents to address systemic issues in our financial system. In fact, I equated it back then to investing in stocks.

Luckily, I bought a little bit and held through my first...

Doctors Were Bribed for COVID Vaccination Coercion "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Story at-a-glance

  • In late March 2020, the U.S. Congress passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Within this $2 trillion stimulus package, $100 billion was earmarked for hospitals and local health centers that treated COVID patients
  • Hospitals were reimbursed an extra 20% for each Medicare patient hospitalized with COVID, and the only criteria to receive that bonus was a COVID-positive PCR test
  • The federal COVID-19 Treatments Add-On Payment program also paid hospitals bonuses for every COVID-19 patient treated with emergency-authorized COVID medications (Remdesivir, convalescent plasma, Baricitinib, Molnupiravir and Nirmatrelvir)
  • Hospitals also received a 300% upcharge for COVID patients placed on ventilators, even after it became apparent that this was a death sentence. Somewhere between 50% and 86% of all ventilated COVID patients died, yet government never dropped the incentive to use ventilators. Why?
  • Throughout 2020, evidence mounted showing the PCR test is incredibly unreliable above 35 cycles, and health agencies instructed labs to use 40 to 45 cycles. In essence, we had an epidemic of false positives, and financial incentives then drove hospitals to mistreat and kill countless patients, many of whom may not even have had COVID

Litecoin Enters The Green Zone As Crypto Market Rebounds "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Litecoin is trading in the green today, between the $89.78 and $90 price level, to consolidate on yesterdays closing price of $89.73. LTC started the year trading at $70 on January 1, 2023. It moved to $80 by January 10 as the bulls seized control. The crypto traded at $100.44 on February 1 for the first time in 2023.

However, market volatility has forced the asset to retest its old lows and is currently trading in the $89-$90 price range. A closer look at the daily chart would reveal its price action and next possible moves.

Litecoin Price On An Uptrend

LTC has formed a green candle on the price chart today, a slight recovery from the bearish trend noticed on the chart on April 28. However, todays price change is not by a wide margin as it remains a sideways trend despite its gains.

LTC is trading above its 50-day and 200-day Simple Moving Averages (SMA), a short and long-term bullish sentiment for the asset. Its Relative Strength Index is 48.18 in the neutral zone. Also, the indicator is moving sideways, reflecting the sideways trend on the daily chart.

Litecoin has found strong support at the $88.25 level preventing further price decline for the asset. Other critical support levels are $65.39 and $47.5. Its resistance levels are $94.35 and $103.42.

Litecoin Enters The Green Zone As The Crypto Market Rebounds

The $90 price level is a psychological resistance level that Litecoin is testing today. The coin will likely pivot off the $88.25 resistance level to trade above the $90 price level if the bulls prevail. However, the sideways trend might persist in the short term.

Litecoin Halving Historically Bullish

USTC: Will Proposal To Re-Peg Stablecoin Push LUNC To $1? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

In one of the most catastrophic events to ever hit the crypto industry, the prominent algorithmic stablecoin TerraClassicUSD (USTC) formerly UST became depegged from the US dollar around a year ago. As a result, the Terra ecosystem crumbled, leading to uncontrolled minting and supply of Terra Classic (LUNC) tokens.

However, in the latest developments, the Terra community is looking to approve a proposal to revive the ecosystem and restore USTCs value peg with the US dollar.

USTC Re-Peg Proposal

On Saturday, 22nd April, a Terra community member known as RedlineDrifter submitted a proposal that aims to re-peg stable coin TerraClassicUSD to the dollar. This proposal will enforce a re-pegging mechanism that implements divergence fees on USTC trades that slip below or rise above the peg. In this mechanism, the accrued fees will be used to repurchase the asset.

This re-pegging plan proposes the implementation of various mechanisms, including divergence fees, USTC buybacks, and a swap and staking mechanism. Whats more, RedlineDrifter emphasized how these mechanisms will help maintain USTCs value once it restores parity with the dollar.

The re-pegging proposal looks set for approval, according to the figures from ATOMScan. As of this writing, 49.11% have voted in support of the proposal, while only 6.63% of the total votes are not in favor. That said, it is worth noting that 44.24% chose to sit on the fence. The votes are expected to end later today.

Internet Computer (ICP) is currently on an impressive bullish run following the crypto market upturn, which saw many assets show signs of recovery. In the last week, ICP has taken center stage, recording the biggest gains among the major coins in the market.

ICP Shows Its Mettle In Crypto Ranking

According to data from CoinMarketCap, the Internet Computer token recorded an 18.25% gain over the last seven days, outperforming every other token in the top 50 crypto rankings within the same period.

In this month of April, the Internet Computer token has been a focal point of investors interest, surging by about 24% to trade above $7 for the first time since February. Campaign Against ECT Gains Traction in UK "IndyWatch Feed Health"

Country music legend Naomi Judd died by suicide on April 30, 2022 after a public struggle to find relief from the deep distress and suicidal intensity that haunted her. Like the late actress Carrie Fisher, Judd had become an outspoken advocate of biopsychiatry, chronicling her experiences in a 2016 memoir River of Time: My Descent into Depression and How I Emerged with Hope. As a celebrity, she accessed the nations top psychiatric care centers, yet her pages tell of mostly failed interventions. While her death has been attributed to the disease of mental illness, her memoir reads like a saga of harm done in the name of help.

Among the array of treatments Judd documented in River of Time was electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). She was referred for ECT by Dr. Jerrold Rosenbaum, then-head of Massachusetts Generals Department of Psychiatry, after she hadnt responded to antidepressants, which qualified her as having treatment-resistant depression. She writes that Rosenbaum, with whom she had a friendship, promised her that modern ECT was safe and effective, nothing like the film One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest. This narrative, the one most frequently presented to the media and the public, seemed to overcome the singers initial reticence and fears of memory loss.

Unlike Fisher, Judd did not report a positive experience. After 24 sessions, she expressed doubts that the procedure was helping her, and quit. About a month after the ECT treatments ended, she wrote, I could tell that I was slowly falling back into thoughts of suicide.

Judd was one of thousands of Americans referred to ECT each year. While it was a male character receiving shock in One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, available data reveal a stark gender divide, both in the US and wherever else its administered. Meet The Deepest-Dwelling Fish Ever Caught On Camera "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

I know that most people probably view space as the final frontier, but for my money, I think theres probably more living mysteries right here on earth.

That is, if youre willing to look very deep in the ocean which is just where this cool, if strange, image came from.

It was captured by a team of scientists from Australia and Japan using a camera, some bait, and a deep-sea submersible, and voila, a photo of an unknown species returned to the surface.

Antarctica Cover-Up: Russian spy satellite that passed over the Transantarctic Mountains spotted huge structures including a pyramid and a building in the form of a swastika. "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Picture
In 2017, someone uploaded a video on facebook, made by a Russian satelite (spy) that passed over the Transantarctic Mountains and which shows huge structures including a pyramid and a building in the form of a swastika.
These spots have been blacked out in Google Earth and Google Maps. Later in 2019 I did a google earth search to see if the site in antarctica was already visible and, to my surprise, the site was spotted as if there had been explosions, As always draw your own conclusions. watch video bellow.
This finding corroborates the research and work of author Stephen Quayle.

In Empire Beneath the Ice, author Stephen Quayle reveals why most of what you've learned about World War II and the defeat of Nazi Germany is wrong. You will discover:
Why suppressed evidence proves that Adolf Hitler did not die before Germany's surrender during World War II and how he escaped capture. As members, Nazi SS soldiers and scientists escaped with Hitler to create colonies in other parts of the world to continue their monstrous research. Why, in 1947, Admiral Richard E. Know Kidding: How to Care for a Rejected Baby Goat "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

In my local area, I have noted the number of people who have started gardens (one family even ripped out their entire front lawn) or have small, medium, or even large livestock.  While I do not know if they are doing it as a means to stretch their budget or as a concern of food security, they are making an investment.

I myself have invested in small, medium, and large livestock.  In the winter, I have to take them water and hay.  In the summer, just water.  For the most part, they take care of themselves.

However, when it comes to breeding for the next generation, sometimes there is more action required.  I have had goats now for about ten years.  For the most part, the does (female goats) do their part, and I just stand out of the way.  But a few does have rejected their kids (baby goats).  It happens.

While yes, they are little creatures I have a responsibility to care for, they are also investments, and I have a few lessons learned I wish to share with you to ensure your success if you so choose to invest in goats as I have.

How to warm up a rejected baby goat

When the doe gives birth, she will lick it clean, then stand and allow the kid to take its first feeding from the doe.

However, if the doe rejects the kid, she will just ignore it.  I have had, on two occasions, gone into the barn for morning feedings to find a cold and wet kid, and the mother more interested in breakfast than her kid.

The first thing is to get the kid into the house, cleaned off, and warm.  Kids cannot maintain their own body heat for the first 24 to 48 hours.

A quick and easy way to check the temperature is to stick your finger or thumb into their mouth.

  • Warm = good.
  • Cool = bad.
  • Cold = really, really, bad!

The best method I have found for warming them up is to use hot water bottles to keep the kid warm.  Once, in a pinch (we could not find the water bottles), we used two 1.5L wine bottles.  Since then, I keep two water bottles handy as a just in case.

Place the hot water bottles in the bottom of a large enough container like a large laundry basket, a large storage bin, or even a cardboard box.  Then put a thin blanket over the bottles to prevent the kid from burning himself.  I bring the water bottles to the just-too-hot-to-touch level of warmth.  Put the kid in and cover them with another heavier blanket.  An electric blanket is a good option, but use the.....

This Woman Doesnt Want To Split Rent, And Her Boyfriend Doesnt Like It "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

There have been a lot of discussions lately on Reddit and in other places around the internet about splitting bills and living costs and life responsibilities fairly. Weve established that fair isnt always equal, but this post proves that some folks just arent listening.

OP and her boyfriend have been together since college. They lived together then and have split their rent, utilities, groceries, and other shared expenses right down the middle.

Since graduating, they moved to a bigger city with bigger ticket apartments.

I (F23) have been dating my boyfriend Jake (M23) since our freshmen year of college. In our last year of undergrad, we decided to rent an apartment together. We split everything 50/50, including utilities, groceries, and rent.

We continued living together in the same town as our college after graduation, but recently, we both got jobs in Chicago and we are currently living downtown.

Luckily, OPs father owns a nice one in a prime location. Hes willing to let his daughter live there for free, and only wants to charge her boyfriend a minimal amount to share the space.

My dad works in real estate, and he has multiple investment properties. My dad generously allowed me to live in one of his properties rent free, but he said that my boyfriend would have to pay him $400 a month for rent.

My dad is very protective, but he has been nothing but kind to my boyfriend. My dads reasoning for making my boyfriend pay rent is that he wants to be sure that my boyfriend is with me for me, and not because he will have a free place to live.

(Keep in mind, if my dad was renting this apartment out to tenants, he would charge $2100 a month for rent. Very ritzy building in the middle of downtown Chicago).

When the first months r...

Ron DeSantis Signs Bill Limiting Teachers to Only Use TV Cart for Birth of a Nation "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. Reactionary governor Ron DeSantis signed a controversial law limiting all use of public school TV carts to only showing D.W. Griffiths 1915 silent film Birth of a Nation, the governors office proudly stated.

We Floridians are ready to push back against woke, and that starts in the schools; children are going to love the traditional American values on display in Birth of a Nation, said DeSantis, who is reportedly crafting laws to replace any trace of critical race theory in schools with introductions to phrenology and eugenics. And I believe children will find the action exhilarating in a way that no talkie could ever hope to achieve. Its always been a personal favorite of mine. In fact, my Top 4 on Letterboxd are Triumph of the Will, Loqueesha, and Left Behind starring Kirk Cameron.

Some Florida parents applauded DeSantis efforts to run woke progressive ideologies out of the public sphere.

Thank God and praise Jesus for DeSantis- without him, I would have to actually start parenting and monitoring what my children do instead of just leaving it up to the state, admitted local mother and gator wrestler Geena Comers. To be quite frank, Im not sure Birth of a Nation will hold the childrens attention in the age of Fortnite and Snapchat, but maybe my kids will get some extra shuteye before they learn about God creating the world in six days in science class.

Prominent thinkers in the world of film lambasted DeSantis ill-advised choice of educational film content.

Not only is Birth of a Nation a piece of racist trash, but its also an agonizing slog to get through, explained Dr. Reggie Thayers, film professor at the University of Miami. It has some importance in the history of film, but very little value as entertainment today. Its yet another piece of evidence of conservatives inability to make good art. George W. Bushs shitty paintings, Kid Rocks ear-splitting music, and anything Kevin Sorbo has done furthers the amateurish, ineffective tradition. And dont even get me started on the Michale Graves era of Misfits.

The DeSantis camp is considering expanding the law by limiting all school dance functions music to only former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabees unaccompanied bass lines.

Every Slayer Album Ranked "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

FUCKIN SLAAAAYYYYYEEERRR have been a staple in the metal community since their debut album in 1983. And since then, they have existed as a band through a variety of metal music trends (for better or for worse) and various interesting sound directions (for better or for worse), but if you ask most any Slayer fan, theyve always just been FUCKIN SLAYER. However, this is a ranking of their records, and blanketing them with that sentiment wouldnt be exciting.plus as youll see, its just wrong.

11. Diabolus In Musica (1998)

First off, Ill admit that this isnt a Slayer album that I listen to a whole lot. Well, by that I mean I listened to it once when I was like 7 years old. But as a more mature adult, with more refined taste, I thought, It cant possibly be that bad. It has evil satanic Powder on the front, and the Slayer logo is written all cool-like. Slayer was not only bitten by the Nu-Metal bug when this was written, it laid its eggs inside their brain and what hatched was this. Best to just avoid.

Play it Again: In The Name of God
Skip it: Literally every other song

10. God Hates Us All (2001)

This album being released on September 11th, 2001 really solidifies the fact two tragedies occurred that day: the 9/11 attacks, and Leftver Crack releasing their first record..wait, no, that doesnt make sense. Make that three tragedies. This album is one of them.

Play it Again: Disciple
Skip it: Deviance, but only after you get past the intro sound clip with the hilarious stock screams.

Woman Experiments With Bondage By Trying on Jeans From High School "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

PROVIDENCE, R.I. Local woman Tracey Garibay entered the wild world of bondage by trying on a pair of American Apparel skinny jeans she hadnt worn since her junior year of high school, stunned sources reported.

Youll have to excuse my underwear, said Garibay, sitting on her bed with her pants stuck halfway up her thighs. Ive experimented with some light bondage in the past, like when I put my pants on right after they came out of the dryer, but Ive never done anything this extreme before. I dont know what got into me. I was sitting alone in my room feeling a little kinky and decided to test the limits of my leg circulation.

Garibays subconscious desire to surrender control was triggered after a long-forgotten pair of size 26 jeans resurfaced while cleaning out her closet.

I didnt even know she owned jeans, recalled Garibays boyfriend Andrew Whitaker. Ive only seen her wear one-size-fits-all sweatpants or my basketball shorts. Whenever shes around me, she keeps it very vanilla, Im talking overalls and t-shirts from promotional giveaways at the gym. I have to admit seeing her helplessly wriggling around on the floor begging me to pull on one of her pant legs got me pretty hard. Im hoping she might also want to try on that Warped Tour 2008 tank top I saw in the back of her closet.

BDSM is not risk-proof. Its important for beginners to tread lightly, whether youre working with spreader bars, crotch knots, or trying to get out of a dress you havent worn since 2012 without dislocating your shoulder.

She already broke rule number one by engaging in self-bondage, said Madame Felicia Evil, dungeon monitor at an undisclosed location. Its important to have a Dom standing by so you can administer safe words like hazelnut, pineapple or Oh my god my legs are turning purple, call an ambulance and tell them to bring scissors. I once walked in on a girl bound so tightly by a pair of vintage Guess jeans that it made a shibari hogtie look like a spa treatment.

At press time, Garibay was heard screaming pineapple midway through trying on a pair of raw selvedge jeans she hadnt worn since college.

I Dont Regret My 90s Barcode Tattoo Because Its the Managers Override At CVS "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

Not many people still appreciate the tattoo they got at a friends kitchen table during a house party. My friend Itchy Phil brought a machine he ordered on eBay, and I had Jose Cuervo for the first time. Teenage impulsiveness, tequila, and a love of Neal Stephensons book lead me to get a barcode on my wrist. Somehow, with no training, experience, or reference materials, Itchy managed a perfect rendering of the CVS manager code completely by accident. It seemed like divine intervention running through his filthy hands.

That summer, I ended up working at the photo counter at CVS and one shift my friend Brown scanned it just to see what would happen. Shockingly, the managers menu popped up on the register screen. Now we could open the till with no-sales, override age restrictions, and apply discounts, basically, every simple thing a cashier isnt allowed to do, without paging a manager.

At first, we just used it to shut up shitty customers whining about expired coupons, give some ExtraBucks Rewards to nice customers, and employee discounts to customers who looked like they needed it. And we got away with it! I wasnt stupid enough to outright steal cash from the drawer and it didnt work for the actual pharmaceuticals, but I did start getting bolder. When my friends came in for cigarettes, beer, or cloves I would card them in the sense that I asked for a card, but when it came time to enter a birth date in a wild coincidence, everyone was a bicentennial baby born on July 4, 1976. I did pretty well charging five bucks a transaction.

CVS was closing its photo centers by the time I went off to art school, but I still used the barcode as an underage customer. My schtick was to look for the friendliest cashier at the busiest time and chat them up. After scanning the alcohol, Id do the, You know what Ive always wondered if my tattoo would scan, would you mind? and I made their day and no one cares about age anymore. This wasnt as lucrative in the art school dorms, but I did okay as the sugary wine and Robitussin connection.

It just got too complicated and I lived closer to a Rite-Aid until they brought in self-checkout and CVS became my grocery store, liquor store, toy store, and electronics store, all with a 20% discount! I was living in a rough neighborhood at the time, but I managed to make peace with my tweaker neighbors by keeping them stocked with Sudafed since I could easily override the five-box limit.

CVS has since installed cameras on the registers, so Ive slowed down, plus Im mostly buying baby formula and diapers there now.

I look back on that fateful night when my friends got alien heads and tribal bands inked into their skin and I know I made the right choice.

Parents have moved to Florida

Mr. and Mrs. Jabowski have packed up for Boca Raton, and you know the new owners of 218 Maple Lane arent allowing any part-time barback whose only winter jacket is a 12-year-old High on Fire hoodie rent out their basement.

Blanket from Kick Drum Used to Make Fort

This is a dead giveaway as your bass player probably believes this shelter will protect them from ghosts and/or ghoulies while they sleep.

Empty Happy Meal Containers

The trash can might start overflowing with these containers. You may also find small toys and figurines from the Happy Meals set up in band-like formations. This is where your bass player will live out their fantasies of being a respected member of the band.

Urine Bottles Along Wall

They might ask to save all the beer bottles after practice for recycling. You might find them filled with piss and gathered against the wall behind the bass cab.

Another Iranian Woman Murdered in Forced Hijab Dispute "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Almost a year after 22-year-old Mahsa Amini died under the custody of Irans morality police after not wearing her hijab correctly, another woman lost her life after a fight over a forced hijab dispute last April 23rd.

Her death occurred after a fight between Irans paramilitary Basij forces and a group of people erupted in the parking lot of the Mahan Garden last April 23rd. According to netizens, the woman and the group of people were tourists visiting from the port city of Bandar Abbas, south of Iran.

The scuffle was captured on camera, which became viral on social media. The video showed a group of people fighting another group of people. The footage was taken inside a bus that carried members of the Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRCG) and their families, who visited the park to pay their respects to Qassem Soleimani, the Qods Force Commander killed in a US missile attack in 2020.

The details of the fight and what led to the womans death were unclear and subject to debate. While confirming her death, the semi-official Fars news agency reported that the fight was between two groups of people with no mention of any involvement on the side of Iranian security forces.

On the other hand, the governor of Kerman Ali Babaei, the province where the fistfight occurred, claimed personal issues sparked the mass conflict in Mahan Garden without saying anything about protests against the mandatory hijab rule.

As for the death of the unnamed woman, who was either 59 or 60, reports suggest that she died due to cardiac arrest and she died in hospital. But some Iranians suggested that the older woman was beaten based on footage of the scuffle.

Iran International reported that Basij forces ordered women in the group to comply with mandatory hijab rules while visiting the park. When the group refused to obey, a fight broke out."

As the fight happened, one of the womans friends pleaded to stop as the woman was dying, but a female Basij member simply said, Let them die, to hell with it.

As the Fars news agency reported, many people have been imprisoned in relation to the incident. Yousef Sobhani, a judicia...

The Women Behind Indias Militant Hindu Nationalist Movement "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

With the continuing surge of Hindutva (Hindu nationalist) ideology in India since the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was elected in 2014, the country is also seeing a rise of female militant Hindu nationalists taking up positions in government and even leading the fight for their ideals.

One of these female Hindu nationalist leaders is Pragya Singh Thakur, also known to her supporters as Sadhvi Pragya (title for female ascetic in India). She was a suspect in a 2008 bombing in Malegaon, Maharashtra, that took the lives of six victims and injured 100 people.

However, these allegations did not stop Thakur from joining Indias parliament in 2019. She currently serves as a legislator representing the city of Bhopal under the BJP, and she is perhaps the first in the countrys history to be elected despite being accused of a crime.

Since her rise to power, many female Hindu nationalists have seen Thakur as an inspiration and wish to achieve the popularity she has garnered in the past few years. One of them is Chaitra Kundapura, a journalist in her 20s and a former news anchor on a local TV channel in Karnataka.

Kundapura had a unique story behind her. Coming from a lower-middle-class background and a member of Indias Other Backwards Castes, Kundapura began to question Western notions of gender equality and feminism during her stint as an anchor and saw the appeal of how Hindu nationalist literature portrayed women.

Like Thakur, Kundapura is embroiled in many legal cases for inciting hatred against Indias Muslim minority through her fiery speeches. She enjoys minor celebrity status among other Hindu nationalists in Karnataka, whose locals acknowledged that hate speech is a way for women like her to gain attention.

In 2021, she sparked controversy for giving Muslim men a warning on love jihad. She claimed that activists from Bajrang Dal, one of Indias many militant far-right and Hindu nationalist organizations, would convert Muslim men in two days and have Muslim women apply vermillion on their heads (a symbol associated with married Hindu women) if they dont stop with love jihad.

But Kundapura is not alone in her struggle to spread Hindutva across the country. Pooja Shakun Pandey, leader of the far-right All India Hindu Mahasabha in Uttar Pradesh, is another case. A mother of two and a former mathematics teacher, she quit her well-paying job in Kundapura to focus on her activism, adding that it was her true calling.

Pandey, who also called herself Sadhvi Annapoorna after...

Australian Islamic Scholar Admonishes Muslims For "Abandoning Jihad" "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

An Australian Islamic scholar slammed Muslims for allegedly abandoning jihad, and describing Hindus and Jewish people with disparaging remarks.

Wissam Haddad, also known as Abu Ousayd on social media, made his statements during an address in Sydney, Australia, last April 14th. The sermon, titled The Month of Victory, was uploaded to the YouTube channel of Al Madina Dawah Center, a religious center in Sydney, Australia.

In his sermon, Abu Ousayd lambasted Muslims for reportedly doing nothing while other Muslims were killed in Kashmir and Palestine. He also claimed that the Mongols defeated Muslims because religious scholars "spent so much time in their books" and abandoned jihad during that time.

"Oh nation of Muhammad, come alive; Kashmir is bleeding. Muslims are being killed at the hands of the worshippers of cows and monkeys, and the Muslims remain silent. Abu Ousayd pleaded while also hinting at Hindus.

Hindus today openly threaten Muslims. They openly swear to invade our lands of Mecca and Medina, inciting one another to do this, and we sit idle, even afraid to speak up against them. He added.

After calling Hindus slurs, Abu Ousayd turned to the issue regarding Israel and Palestine, where he made statements targeting Jews and calling out Muslims.

"Our beloved Jerusalem cries out year after year, as the Israeli forces, year after year, invade Al-Aqsa, especially in Ramadan, and they oppress the Muslims in this month. Abu Ousayd said. Yet the Muslims remain idle. The Muslims of Palestine cry out to be saved from the descendants of pigs and monkeys but no one responds. He added, making references to Israeli Jews.

Abu Ousayd continued with his sermon and said that the issue with Palestine would never end with just humanitarian aid alone. He mentioned Ibn Umar, a companion of the Prophet Muhammad, and told Muslims that Allah will send upon you humiliation, and will not remove it until you turn back to your religion once they abandon jihad and become satisfied with cultivation and partake in usury.

"As I said, my dear brothers, the Companions were known to be worshippers at night and warriors by day....

Islamic Scholar Claims Jews Plant Trees to Thwart Muslims on Judgement Day "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

An Islamic scholar from Syria claimed in a show that Jews planted trees in Israel and Palestine to impede Muslims and protect them on Judgement Day.

Abdul Nafee Al-Rifai made these statements in a show aired on Qanat TV/Channel 9, an Arabic-language channel in Turkey connected to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. The show aired on April 8th.

Al-Rifai argued that in a decisive battle on the Day of Judgement, the rocks and trees in Israel and Palestine would tell Muslims that Jews were hiding behind them and to come and kill them. However, he mentioned that one tree, the gharqad tree, would protect them.

The gharqad tree refers to the Nitre bush or Nitraria retusa, a salt-tolerant and drought-resistant shrub native to parts of Northern Africa and the Middle East. The plant is recognized as the tree of the Jews among many Muslims, and it is known for its many uses, such as food for livestock and even a source of salt for many living in the desert.

"Is it possible that the angels participate in the battles of the Muslims? Yes! They do, and, God willing, they will participate in the decisive battle when the fighting will be between the Jews and us. Al-Rifai said in the show.

The Prophet Muhammad informed us about a decisive battle, which will be fought between the Jews and us. The Prophet Muhammad said: You, the Muslims, will be east of the Jordan River, and they will be west of the Jordan River. Picture the map its just like that.

The scholar also cited a hadith, stating that the rocks and trees will tell Muslims where the Jews are hiding to kill them, except for the gharqad, calling it one of the trees of the Jews.

"Allah will make the rocks and the trees speak, and they will say: 'Oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him, Al-Rifai said, mentioning the hadith. The rocks and the trees will speak, with the exception of the gharqad, which is one of the trees of the Jews.

The scholar continued his claims that the Jews planted the gharqad in their occupied territories, gardens, and homes, even if they were thorny and useless, to prepare for that decisive battle.

He also said that the Jerusalem municipality, b...

Is This Why Extraterrestrials Don't Interact With Us? "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

In 2013, the former Canadian defense minister Paul Hellyer made a shocking statement: a federation of alien races mankind are watching and controlling us. Reported television channel History.

Some say there is enough evidence to support this claim. Almost every culture has stories or emperors, kings and pharaohs who consulted a group of nine gods.

Even CIA scientists channeled in the fifties with an alien group that was called The Nine. This group are here to influence events on earth, according to the station.
In 1952 the American physician Andrija Puharich put a special laboratory that was part of a top secret government program.

In the lab experiments were done with psychological manipulation and hallucinogenic drugs. One of his subjects was Uri Geller.

Witchcraft: Culture or Curse? African Union Addresses Dark Side of Belief "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

The legislative body of the African Union is planning to implement new rules to protect victims of ritual attacks and prevent people accused of witchcraft from being harmed and abused.

The Pan-African Parliament, a body attended by representatives from 48 African countries, met in Johannesburg, South Africa, to discuss the adoption of extensive guidelines that seek to help governments across the continent by teaching them strategies on how to tackle dangerous superstitions linked to witchcraft that often leads to attacks and abuse.

Some proposed measures include legal acts like criminalizing violence caused by witchcraft accusations and outlawing the trafficking of body parts used for witchcraft rituals. Other nonlegal initiatives include community education and awareness campaigns to address misconceptions that exacerbate allegations of witchcraft.

Despite scarce data and unreported cases, violence and abuse against people accused of witchcraft are widespread throughout Africa. However, some attacks related to witchcraft accusations also occur in other documents. Contrary to popular belief, witchcraft-related attacks in Africa are not decreasing but appear to be rising, as noted by some experts.

A recent report from the United Nations revealed that more than 20,000 people had been victims of harmful practices connected to witchcraft suspicions and ritual attacks in the last decade across 60 countries. A survey conducted across 95 countries and territories found that 40% of all respondents believe in witchcraft, and this belief transcends socioeconomic boundaries.

The groups identified as more vulnerable to witchcraftrelated attacks and abuse include children, women, people with disabilities, older people, and persons with albinism. While being accused of witchcraft often leads to stigma and ostracism, it can also result in physical violence and murder.

Because victims of witchcraft allegations tend to be outcasts or minorities, they often find it hard to access education, employment, and help. Disabled persons and people with albinism are also hidden away by their families for fear of attacks.

Whether you believe in witchcraft or not, there is no denying that witchcraft is having a negative impact in our continent and this impact needs to be addressed, Muluka-Anne Miti-Drummond, an expert from the UN representing albino people, said during the meeting at the Pan-African Parliament. These guidelines give us hope that, if implemented, these harmful practices can start to be eradicated.

Miti-Drummond also recalled how she constantly received...

Jehovah's Witnesses Accused of Child Sexual Abuse in Pennsylvania "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

In recent months, a grand jury in Pennsylvania accuse nine men of being connected to the Jehovahs Witnesses child sexual abuse investigation. This is part of whats considered to be the most extensive and most comprehensive investigation of abuse within the churchs history in the US.

A series of charges were filed in the past year, fuelling speculations that the jury could release findings uncovered from a four-year investigation that started in 2019 to the public. The investigation is similar to a grand jury proceeding on child sex abuse committed by Catholic priests, which resulted in a lengthy 2018 report stating how priests abused children in seven decades. The report also described how church officials covered up these incidents of abuse.

A similar report was also released this April in Maryland, which detailed how 150 priests in the Archdiocese of Baltimore sexually abused 600 children, spanning eight decades of abuse and coverups by officials.

But the Catholic priest sexual abuse reports in Pennsylvania and Maryland dont include what critics say is a systemic cover-up and mishandling of child sexual abuse cases within the Jehovahs Witnesses.

Critics accused church elders in the Jehovahs Witnesses of treating child sexual abuse as a sin rather than a crime, which would compel them to document the cases internally but not report them to authorities. They were even accused of letting these child sexual abuse suspects remain active in their congregations with access to children from unsuspecting families.

Church elders were also criticized for requiring a second witness for child sexual abuse complaints, a virtually impossible standard in cases of molestation. However, Jehovahs Witnesses spokesperson Jarrod Lopes denied these allegations.

He said the church treats child sexual abuse as a crime, and members have the right to report cases of sexual abuse to the authorities. Lopes added that the second-witness rule applies only to matters concerning internal church discipline, and elders comply with reporting laws even without a second witness.

Dozens of people had provided their testimonies before the secret grand jury in Harrisburg, while others gave information to the states attorney general. Some reports even detailed how investigators showed keen interest in how the Jehovahs Witnesses have responded to the allegations.

Martin Haugh, one of the testifiers, is a former church elder from York Haven and a father of one of the victims within...

In fact, there is no labor beyond domestic, and workaday tasks are completed with a gauzy sense of fulfillment.

But, as we all know, most trends out there usually take on a life of their own and companies try to capitalize on them by charging big bucks for items that are typically cheap.

Thats what seems to be going on in this TikTok video that shows a straw broom for sale at a Zara store for 29.99, which equals about $32 in U.S. currency.

Seems a bit pricey for a broom, dont you think?

4th U.S. Bank Collapses as Bank Runs Continue "IndyWatch Feed Health"

by Brian Shilhavy
Editor, Health Impact News

The 4th U.S. Bank has collapsed in less than 2 months, as it was announced late Friday that First Republic, an FDIC bank, was being purchased by JPMorgan and PNC after a government seizure.

The bank is headquartered in San Francisco, and is part of the Silicon Valley crowd with rich clients who have money deposited way above the FDIC insurance limits.

So the bailout of wealthy Big Tech investors continues.

JPMorgan, PNC To Buy First Republic After FDIC Seizure First Leaves Taxpayers Holding The Toxic Stuff

by ZeroHedge News

Update (2210ET):  As the weekend begins, the WSJ reports late on Friday that big banks including JPMorgan and PNC are set to buy First Republic Bank but not in a private, market-arranged deal but rather in a transaction that would follow a government seizure of the troubled lender. A seizure and sale of First Republic, which would wipe out the equity of FRC and potentially impose losses on creditors, could come as soon as this weekend, the WSJ sources said.

And so JPM, which is already the largest US bank is about to get even bigger, by scooping up all the good FRC assets while leaving US taxpayer holdings on to the toxic ones.

That said, it wasnt immediately clear whether the $30 billion in deposits funneled by JPM and other banks into FRC will be treated as insured funds (why should they should be insured?), nor was it clear how a wipeout of this capital, which would spark a systemic crisis simply because the Fed is now running policy of monetary tightening through bank collapse, having failed to contain inflation and tighten policy using conventional means.

* * *

Update (1640ET): As many expected given the intraday collapse of FRC, Reuters reports after the bell that The FDIC will imminently the bank into receivership.

Shares collapsed to a $1 handle in the after hours trading, down 70% on the day

Gutters or no gutters? Pros and cons? "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

When I do a pro/con analysis of having gutters on the house or deleting them I come out heavy on the side of ditching them. I'm older now and have two titanium joints, so my climbing and crawling ability is a little reduced. I also know it's less likely that I'd survive a fall off a ladder or roof. The only thing I'd miss would be water collection, but I could quickly rig a catchment system if I needed one.

Insider Reveals Fox News Fired Tucker Carlson For Praising God And Rejecting Satan Because That Stuff Freaks Rupert Out "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

An insider at Fox News claims that the true reason that Tucker Carlson was fired by the network was because of a speech that he gave on Friday in which he praised God and rejected Satan. God, spirituality, and prayer are reportedly all subjects that freak out Rupert Murdoch, according to a source who spoke to Vanity Fair on the condition of anonymity. https://twitter.com/TexasLindsay_/status/1650543460057853963?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1650543460057853963%7Ctwgr%5Eec81925437feb4c9e90ec8e1814fd235d691e064%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.theblaze.com%2Fnews%2Ftucker-carlson-ousted-at-fox-over-speech-stressing-the-importance-of-prayer-says-insider On Monday, Fox News made the announcement that Tuckers time working for the network had been abruptly terminated. Since the news was broken, Fox News has steadfastly refused to elaborate on the reasoning behind Carlsons firing. According to Vanity Fair, Tuckers speech at the Heritage Foundations 50th Anniversary gala three days prior was the last straw for Fox and led to the termination of his contract. Carlson warned his audience during the speech that the struggle for the future of America was a conflict between good and evil. We should say that and stop engaging in these totally fraudulent debatesIve tried. That doesnt work, Carlson declared. I have concluded it might be worth taking just 10 minutes out of your busy schedule to say a prayer for the future, and I hope you will, he added. According to Vanity Fairs source, That stuff freaks Rupert out. He doesnt like all the spiritual talk. https://twitter.com/VanityFair/status/1650963543020171302?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1650963543020171302%7Ctwgr%5E4cf01beeb2c1d6ed612bc393a21057a520655765%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fen-volve.com%2F2023%2F04%2F26%2Finsider-reveals-fox-news-fired-tucker-carlson-for-praising-god-and-rejecting-satan-because-that-stuff-freaks-rupert-out%2F Summit.news reports: Apparently, Murdoch was triggered into dismissing Carlson bec...

RSS: How to Create Your Own Newsfeed and Search "IndyWatch Feed Health"

by Brian Shilhavy
Editor, Health Impact News

With it becoming more and more difficult to find information on the Internet with Google and Microsoft increasingly working hard to control all online content, it is more important than ever for people to learn how to use RSS feeds.

RSS feeds allow you to capture new articles published throughout the day without using email subscriptions, social media, or having to use online search engines or AI chat bots.

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication (or sometimes Rich Site Summary.) It was developed back in the 1990s during the infancy of the Internet, and was originally called RDF (Resource Description Framework).

Almost all websites publishing content still use this technology today by using an XML file format that is included with each new article published, that can then be retrieved by an RSS feed reader as soon as that content is published.

All of the Health Impact News websites have an RSS icon that one can click on to get the XML file URL that one can then add to any standard RSS feed reader. In addition, one can just type: /feed/ at the end of the URL for any of our websites and get the same link to our XML file.

So it would look like this: https://healthimpactnews.com/feed/

This should work for most websites that have an XML file. For those sites that do not have an RSS icon, or do not provide an XML feed by simply appending /feed/ to the end of the homepage URL, you can usually right click with your mouse and choose to look at the page source, and then search (usually CTR F in most browsers) for RSS to find the link you need to use to collect the XML file that you can then add to your RSS Feed Reader.

As Editor of Health Impact News, most of my newsfeed these days is in my RSS feed reader.

16 Species of Insects Approved for Human Consumption "IndyWatch Feed Health"

Its not uncommon for insect parts to accidentally make it into processed foods in plant production. However, Singapore has gone one step further and approved the packaging and sale of 16 species of insects as foodstuff.1 In this short video, actress Nicole Kidman demonstrates her secret talent eating fried insects and live worms.

In 2017, Business Insider reported that on average one person accidentally eats 140,000 bits of bug every year.2 Food with the highest number of allowed bug bits is hops, used to brew beer. The FDA allows up to 25,000 bits for every 100 grams of hops. Exactly who is counting 25,000 bits of bug for every 2.5 cups of hops?

Interestingly, in 2017, the Business Insider article ended with Wed better get used to it. After all, insects are the future of food! Also in 2017,3 a Business Insider article sponsored by Cargill, predicted that "thanks to climate change" the foods of the future will include bugs, beans, GMOs, invasive sea creatures, and "bloody vegan burgers."

Insect-as-food promoters claim humans have a long history of eating insects and If you think eating insects is gross, you may be in the cultural minority. Yet, historical mentions of eating insects are mostly for survival and not as a delicacy. National Geographic notes, Ten thousand years ago hunters and gatherers ate bugs to survive.4

The Smithsonian5 notes that in Africa, where poverty is extreme, locusts are consistently eaten, and military survival guides recommend insects as a perfect alternative when other food sources are not available. As globalists push for greater control over the food supply, they are also pushing to normalize dehumanizing and gross food options.

Singapore Approves 16 Insect Species To Be Sold as Food

In October 2022, Yahoo! News6 reported the Singapore food agency (SFA) was in the process of considering approving insect imports from 10 insect food products or farming companies for human or animal consumption. The media release went on to say that the SFA had conducted scientific reviews and assessed the species of insects it would allow for use in the country.

It listed some of the insects that had...

Was It Really a Good Death? Or Murder? "IndyWatch Feed Health"

Tens of thousands of people in the U.K. have allegedly been murdered via involuntary euthanasia in hospitals and care homes run by the U.K.'s National Health Service (NHS).1 The process typically involves the administration of midazolam, a sedative drug often used in the U.S. for execution via lethal injection.2 Because it doesn't relieve pain, an opioid such as morphine is usually added in.

The scandal is ousted in "A Good Death? The Midazolam Murders," a documentary film produced by Jacqui Deevoy. She realized something was wrong when a do-not-resuscitate order, or DNR, was put on her dad while he was in a care home.

"So, I spoke to a whistleblower doctor," Deevoy said. "She told me they were being put on people who were over 60 with mental health issues, people with physical disabilities, even on children with autism."3

Continuing a death protocol put in place by the Liverpool Care Pathway, victims' families allege the NHS is responsible for the involuntary euthanasia of up to 457 people per day, without the consent of patients or their caregivers deaths often attributed to COVID pneumonia.4

Deadly Legacy Stems From Banned Death Protocol

The Liverpool Care Pathway for the Dying Patient (LCP) was a government protocol used in England and Wales to "improve end-of-life care."5 Developed in the 1990s, the protocol was meant to provide best practice guidelines during a patient's final days, and included guidance on symptom control, discontinuation of treatments and psychological, social and spiritual care.6

What occurred instead was a "pathway to euthanasia," during which patients were drugged and deprived of food, water and medical treatments, even in cases when recovery may have been possible. The LCP was abolished in 2014, following public uproar and a government-commissioned review, which criticized its practices. The Guardian reported:7

"The review listened to harrowing stories from families who had not been told their loved one was expected to die and, in some cases, were shouted at by nurses for attempting to give them a drink of water. Nursing staff had wrongly thought, under the LCP guidance, that giving fluids was wrong.

Funeral Industry Dumps Formaldehyde Into Soil "IndyWatch Feed Health"

Editors Note: This article is a reprint. It was originally published April 28, 2018.

Most of you reading this article right now probably do your best to live a green and eco-friendly lifestyle. You likely buy local, organic and regenerative food when possible and use chemical-free cosmetics, personal care products and household cleaners. You may even recycle and drive an electric vehicle. These actions are commendable and bode well for our planets future.

But what about your burial? Conventional burials (including cremation) are characterized by ground- and water-polluting chemicals, man-made greenhouse gas emissions and energy-intensive practices including the vast deforestation to harvest wood for making caskets.

The featured film, Eco-Death Takeover: Changing the Funeral Industry, reveals just how taxing the funeral industrial complex is on our environment and why we should consider eco-friendlier alternatives such as green or natural burials.

In Western culture, the concept of death is rather taboo. Though an inevitable fate for all of us, death itself is rarely discussed, let alone the practices and cultural traditions that follow the passing of a loved one. This could be why youve never heard of or thought about the environmentally damaging processes that occur with conventional burials in America.

The film was made by The Order of the Good Death, an organization founded by mortician and funeral homeowner Caitlin Doughty. Doughty, an advocate for green burials, is the author of two books, Smoke Gets in Your Eyes: And Other Lessons from the Crematory1 and From Here to Eternity: Traveling the World to Find the Good Death.2

Embalming Our Dead With Formaldehyde

The film starts out talking about what happens to our corpse after we die a squeamish-like topic unfit for those with a weak stomach, but an important (and relevant) subject nonetheless. Naturally, our bodies decay when we die. Its inevitable. Yet, due to our cultural traditions, the funeral industry goes to great lengths to delay this natural process, pumping the circulatory system and body cavity with a carcinogenic cocktail of preservative chemicals called embalming fluid.

The main ingredient in embalming fluid is formaldehyde,3 a hazardous substance linked to cancer and irritation of the eyes, nose and throat.

Formaldehyde was discovered in 1867 by chemist August Wilhelm von Hofmann....

In a Q1 report that was posted by Ripple titled Q1 2023 XRP Markets Report, there has been tremendous growth for the firm in the first three months of 2023. The first thing that stands out from this report is that Ripple has been experiencing rapid adoption during this time period.

At a time when other cryptocurrencies were seeing a decline in new users and adoption, the crypto firm reports that over 114,000 new wallets were added in the first quarter of 2023. Furthermore, the number of transactions for this time period also crossed 116 million.

The decentralized exchange (DEX) volume for XRP also grew to over $114.5 million compared to the $85.7 million figure recorded in Q4 of 2022. However, transaction fees were higher compared to the previous quarter and its price did not perform as well, closing at an average price of $0.40 compared to $0.42 for Q4 2022.

Ripple (XRP)

This rise in transaction fees, as well as the increased number of transactions, saw the total XRP burned for transaction fees reach 140,993 for Q1 2023 compared to 101,968 XRP for Q4 2022.

Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) contributed greatly to this volume as the report notes that over 1.2 million NFTs have been minted since XLS-20 went live on mainnet. Thus, Ripple has emerged as a Top 10 chain for NFT trading volume as well.

Community Turns Bullish On XRP

The expectations of the XRP community have returned to bullish territory given the numbers published in the quarterly report. It has instilled a se...

The Godfather of AI Says Doomsayers Are Wrong and ChatGPT Isnt Remarkable Mainly an Advanced Disinformation Tool "IndyWatch Feed Health"

by Brian Shilhavy
Editor, Health Impact News

The hype over AI Chat searches as well as the AI is going to take over the world and replace humans is continuing unabated, and investments into AI are now the only thing left propping up the U.S. economy.

I suppose this is the result of having a generation of adults who have now grown up in the computer age starting in the early 1980s who are now running the economy with their beliefs in AI and technology.

Old school technologists like myself, who watched all of this technology develop, and know better, are having little to no effect in trying to dispel these false beliefs. I have earned my living and built my career on this technology for over 25 years now, but that doesnt seem to matter with this generation.

If you want to avoid the catastrophe that is coming as a result of over-investing in this new tech fad, start by reading this historical article on the failures and losses of investing in AI for the past 75 years:

The 75-Year History of Failures with Artificial Intelligence and $BILLIONS Lost Investing in Science Fiction for the Real World

My views on the hype over this new AI fad are not unique at all, as many others also share them, but it is much more interesting to state that AI is going to take over the world and replace humans, and that is the view that gets clicks and traffic today, which can obviously be monetized as well.

Therefore, the AI is going to take over the world view is the predominant view, not because it is true, but because it is more popular and sells more.

So I am going to highlight some of the other dissenting voices in this article, and then I am going to show what this new AI Chat software is actually doing today, as it has been out in the public for about 5 months now.

But if you want the spoiler as to what it is actually doing today with hundreds of millions of users, here it is: It is a disinformation and data collection tool.

XRP May Rally Over 10% Upon Breaching Two Critical Levels "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Recently, XRP has been facing significant rejection at its overhead resistance level, including a rejection that occurred just a week ago. On the daily chart, XRP has shown a slight upward movement of 3%. However, over the past week, this altcoin has not made much progress as its price has decreased by 0.4%. This indicates that the XRP price is indecisive over longer time frames.

The technical outlook for XRP suggests that the market is bearish. There is a low demand for the altcoin, and accumulation remained less too. However, if XRP manages to move above its overhead resistance, this could trigger a recovery.

Currently, the BTC price is hovering below the $30,000 mark, and most altcoins have followed a similar trend. If BTC breaks through the $30,000 mark, XRP could attempt to move upwards.

At its current level, the altcoin is at a crucial point, as an increase in demand could cause a rally, while a decrease in price could result in a loss of up to 16% of its value. Furthermore, the market capitalization of XRP has decreased, indicating an increase in the number of sellers.

XRP Price Analysis: One-Day Chart

XRP

The altcoin was trading for $0.47 at the time of writing. It is trading underneath its overhead resistance of $0.48. The aforementioned resistance mark is crucial as it has served as a price ceiling previously.

A break above the $0,.48 mark can push XRP to $0.50, which might act as another ceiling before the altcoin targets $0.53. A move to $0.53 means over a 10% rally.

On the flip side, a fall from the current price level will drag XRP to $0.44 and then to $0.40, thereby bringing bearish influence back. The amount of altcoin traded in the last session was red, indicating a fall in demand.

Arts Grantmakers Must Change Their Ways "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

When we glorify the idea of a struggling artist, we are perpetuating the notion that artists are meant to be poor; that they do not deserve a living wage. When we look to artists for hope, healing, and help within our communities in the form of social services beyond arts programming, but take their labor for granted, we are stipulating that being an artist is not a real job. These narratives are particularly entrenched in the US, and we must push back on them in order to mitigate harm. Creatives, artists, and storytellers are workers who deserve the dignity of a living wage for their major contributions to our social fabric and economy. Artists help us process social, racial, and environmental upheaval, imagine new ways forward, and prompt meaningful action. Yet in too many ways, philanthropy and the broader nonprofit industrial complex in the US are failing them.

A suite of recent studies by Yancey Consulting, Americans for the Arts (AFTA), and Collaborative Consulting Group reveals the harsh blows the COVID-19 pandemic dealt to creatives as well as systemic vulnerabilities and inequalities creatives faced before the pandemic. According to AFTA, 95% of creatives lost creative income, their total income fell from about $33,000 to $13,500 (about $800 above the poverty level), and 55% depleted their savings. Respondents who were disabled, transgender, people of color, and have less formal education experienced disproportionately negative economic impacts.

The Great EV Con Job "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Image result for frustrated EV owners

They say its green. They say its renewable. They say that by the year 2050 90% of the automobiles will be electric. How will this impact the environment, the people, and the economy? In short, not in a good way at all. For us to buy into this malarkey we need to analyze the facts. As state and city governments plan on spending billion in electrical charge stations for a future technical status that may change between now and then? What if the state of art magically transforms after all of this anticipatory expense has been paid out along with the incredible deficits and taxes it will take?

Image result for frustrated EV owners

Truth the Sword that Cuts through the lies

  • Fact: To build an electric car a carbon footprint 30 times that of building a combustible engine is created. So, right off the bat you have just defeated the so called Green alternative.
  • Fact: Lithium ion batteries are extremely poisonous. Landfills containing these remnants will not only remain toxic for a long time but they will contaminate the water table!
  • Fact: Over 1500 pounds is added to the weight of an electric car just for the size of the battery it takes to run the car!
  • Fact: These heavy and pollutonous batteries can need replacement as soon as 30,000 miles and the cost currently is $14,000.00 for the battery installation not included.
  • Fact: Mileage will vary according to speed driven which will vary from driver to driver with a range of about 250 miles at low speeds.
  • Fact: Recharging stations can take up to 45 minutes! How will this be convenient?
  • Fact: In its present state the 100 year old US electrical grid is at the point of over loading with demand almost exceeding the full output of the utility capacity during daytime hours. It was almost hilarious to hear California Governor Gavin Newsome appealing to the very drivers he urged to get EVs not to recharge as the California grid was at the point of collapse!
  • Fact: At present there are not enough resources such as minerals and ore to manufacture the batteries and other parts that are specific to EVs. We lost a great amount of that resource withdrawing from Afghanistan! China and Russia have the massive ore and minerals it takes but not the US. This idiotic EV con job is playing right into our enemys hands!
  • Fact: Not many Americans, especially in the Biden economy, are able to afford a $60,000 dollar price tag. So, is this part of the plan to price individual car ownership beyond the reach of most Americans?
  • Fact...

Man Rescues Trapped Sea Turtle That Became Tangled in Tree Roots on Her Way to Lay Eggs "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Man Rescues Trapped Sea Turtle That Became Tangled in Tree Roots on Her Way to Lay Eggs

A kindhearted man named Miguel Angel Escobar was in the right place at the right time. During a boat ride with his family in Utila, Honduras, he spotted a sea turtle that had become entangled in some tree roots on the beach. The scene was pretty heartbreaking, as the turtle lay motionless in the entanglement. Hoping there was still something that could be done to help the animal, he got off his boat for a closer inspection.

I thought she was dead, Escobar told The Dodo. We felt such pity for her. Although the turtle didn't move as Escobar and his family pulled the boat ashore, he and his female companion approached her. The man nudged the creature, hoping she would react. When I touched her, she instantly let out a sigh and she started to move her head, Escobar said.

Springing into action, Escobar told his kid to fetch him his bag, where he had a knife. In the meantime, the man tried breaking the roots with his bare hands, splitting a few branches, but not the main one holding the turtle back. All the while, the turtle let out big sighs and softly waved her flippers. Once Escobar had his knife, he began cutting the big branch, which had even begun to prod into the sea turtle's shell.

Even after cutting the root from both ends, the turtle remained stuck due to its thickness and the uncomfortable position she had been trapped inher hind flippers were also stuck in some branches that were higher up. To finally free the heavy turtle from the complex entanglement, Escobar had no choice but to flip her. Despite the moments of desperation the turtle experienced as she laid belly up and flapping her limbs, it was reassuring to see she still had plenty of energy in her.

Escobar then dragged the turtle back to the water, and once they were in deep enough, the efforts of both man and turtle made it easy for the latter to turn around with a little push. The turtle had been freed, and began to swim so fast no one would believe she had been on the brink just moments earlier. I thought that the turtle would need to rest on the shore and recover her strength, Escobar said. But she instantly swam away, strong and fast, like someone who was jumping...

Bitcoin Emerges As the King Of Assets,10X Growth Over Gold During US Banking Crisis "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Despite the volatile price action of Bitcoin (BTC), the worlds largest cryptocurrency has outperformed every other asset, including gold. Although it is trading below its psychological milestone of $30,000 at $29,000, Bitcoin is expected to grow further in 2023, as it acts as a safe haven for investors amidst the US banking crisis.

Bitcoin Reigns Supreme As the Best-Performing Asset

Capriole Investment, which provides research and analysis on cryptocurrencies, has reported that the current market cycle favors hard assets like gold, as indicated by the 200-week Gold-to-Stocks ratio. This classic indicator highlights when the market favors safe-haven assets like gold over riskier equity assets. Both gold and Bitcoin have generated some of their best returns during these phases.

As the market continues to favor hard assets, Bitcoin has emerged as the preferred safe haven for wealth amidst the US banking crisis and fiat currency weakness. During this period of high correlation, Bitcoin has outperformed gold by 10X in 2023, making it the best-performing asset of the year among major asset classes.

Bitcoin

The strong positive correlation between Bitcoin and Gold has also increased significantly, making them attractive options for investors looking to diversify their portfolios and hedge against economic uncertainty. With unsustainable tightening, banking crises, and de-dollarization looming, the market is turning to these safe-haven assets to protect their wealth.

Governments, Treatment Providers Dont Want to Expose Dark Heart of Mental Health System "IndyWatch Feed Health"

From The Walrus: Most psychiatrists used to be extensively trained in talk therapy and other techniques. However, after the discovery of neuroleptic drugs with anesthetizing effects in the 1950s (later marketed as tranquilizers and then antipsychotics), political pushes by psychiatric guilds alongside new legislation and policy changes reinforced a trend of hospitals hiring primarily biomedical psychiatrists. By the 1990s, psychoanalysts, psychologists, psychotherapists, and other non-medical mental health specialists had much diminished roles or no presence at all in most psychiatric hospitals. Yet [Tracy] Myers was the first to tell me what Id soon learn abundant evidence showsthat altered states with spiritual tones like [Gerald] McVeighs and traumatized states like Myerss are common among psychiatric patients, and many would prefer to explore their feelings in hopes of understanding their meaning and finding healing. They often dont want invasive biomedical treatments like tranquilizers and electroshock therapy and dont respond well to them. Such people get coerced, pressured, forced, said Myers. Their lives can become unmitigated terror.

Myers later attended a public reading by Vancouver author Irit Shimrat, who recounted her own experiences with unusual states of consciousness and forced treatment. Myers described it as revolutionary for her to see a talented, intelligent woman speaking without shame about madness. I remember just weeping listening to her. I had never talked with anybody about the kind of thoughts Id had. The most painful thing for me was the isolation and loneliness. Myers met McVeigh at the event, and they launched a group for people to share their experiences of unusual states and forced treatment.

Myers went on to work at a nonprofit as a counsellor for children whod been exposed to violence, and she then went into private practice. She did not take psychotropics and was never again psychiatrically hospitalized. When we talked in 2021, I asked if she still felt the same way about involuntary treatment.

People are suffering, she said. The idea that sticking them in a cell and giving them drugs is a solution for this is insanity.'
