Suspended Pods in the Sharjah Mountains Takes Glamping to a New Level "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
Architect Omran Alowais of Ardh Architects has created a resort concept meant for adventurous thrillseekers. Floating Retreat is an experience inspired by cliff camping in the Sharjah Mountains in the United Arab Emirates. The daring design sees luxury tents, called hangers, suspended in the mountains. This gives guests all the comforts they're after while also providing a unique immersion into nature.
The project was developed with Shurooq, a Sharjah Investment and Development Authority, and would run from November to May in order to avoid the summer heat. If you have a taste for adventure, this might be the ultimate camping experience. From the renderings, it appears that some hangers sit on the bridge between the mountains. But, if you really want to ramp things up, you could decide to stay in one of the luxury tents that is suspended in mid-air.
From the location, the view is spectacular and there's no way to be more remote than to dangle in the air. One of the main goals of the project is to connect people with nature and take them away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Guests will be invited to partake in numerous activities that explore the landscape, including mountain climbing and Wadi treks.
The facility is designed to be family-friendly, with the aim of promoting environmental awareness and appreciation of the local environment among guests, states the firm. The tranquil and serene atmosphere of the Floating Retreat also provides guests with the opportunity to disconnect and to enjoy a sense of calmness and peace.
So, if you aren't afraid of heights and are looking for an unusual way to spend your next vacation, stay tuned to see if Floating Retreat becomes a reality.

Andrew Collins: Sobekneferu, The First Female Pharaoh "IndyWatch Feed Uncanny"
The cult, magic, reign, and resurrection of the first female
ruler in Egypt
Reveals the achievements of Sobekneferu, the political and
religious issues of her age, the temples and ruins associated with
her, and her continuing impact on ancient Egypt after her reign
Discusses Sobekneferus magical beliefs and practices centered on
the crocodile god Sobek, the hippo goddess Neith, and their
representation as constellations
Examines the modern-day resurrection of Sobekneferu among mystics
and occultists of Victorian London, including her role in Bram
Stokers shocking gothic novel, The Jewel of the Seven Stars
Cleopatra. Nefertiti. Hatshepsut. All of them are ancient Egyptian
female rulers who rose above their predominantly patriarchal
societies to become controllers of a great empire. Missing from
this list, however, is Sobekneferu, ancient Egypts first female
ruler. Why was the reign of this powerful woman all but
forgotten?
Piecing together the lost history of the first female pharaoh,
Andrew Collins presents the first comprehensive biography of
Sobekneferu. Using every text and monument that concerns
Sobekneferu and her time in power, he examines her achievements as
ruler, the political and religious issues of her age, the temples
and ruins associated with her, and her continuing impact on ancient
Egypt after her reign. He explores her relationship with her
brother Amenemhet IV, her sister Neferuptah, and their father
Amenemhet III, regarded as one of the most beloved pharaohs of the
Middle Kingdom. He examines Sobekneferus untimely end, the fate of
her body, and the cult that developed in her name.
Discussing Sobekneferus magical beliefs and practices, Collins
shows how they centered on the crocodile god Sobek, the hippo
goddess Neith, and the circumpolar stars of the night sky in which
they were personified. He also reveals how the setting of the
Crocodile Star (Eltanin), the brightest star in the constellation
of Draco, aligns with Sobekneferus suspected pyramid. Examining the
modern-day resurrection of Sobekneferu among the occultists and
mystics of Victorian London, Collins shows how she is the true
inspiration behind every ancient Egyptian female queen who comes
back to life after her tomb is found--as featured first in Bram
Stokers shocking 1903 novel The Jewel of the Seven Stars and later
in several modern blockbuster movies.
Revealing how Sobekneferu has left a lasting impact on culture and
occulture through the ages despite being nearly erased from
history, Collins shows how her continuing legacy is perhaps,
ultimately, her true resurrection.

Vintage Ephemera Is Given a Second Life With Exquisite Ballpoint Pen Drawings "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
When beginning a drawing, most creatives will naturally seek out a new sheet of paper. UK-based artist Mark Powell, however, finds materials that have lived once or twice before. His series Ephemera features exquisite pen and ink drawings that are rendered on top of vintage postcards, playing cards, and more to fuse the past with the present.
Powell carefully renders each of his subjects, which range from human figures to animals, using a ballpoint pen. These drawings often encompass multiple pieces of ephemera that have been arranged together to create one larger surface. The Ephemera series started when I found an envelope that was sent from the front line in World War I and it has been ongoing since, Powell tells My Modern Met. I find that the unconventional paper tells its own story with the signs of the passage of time upon it much like the faces I draw too. They both suggest a story that isn't told.
While the eye naturally gravitates toward the striking illustration, it is interesting to see the ways in which these drawings interact with their material. A pair of elephants, for example, intertwine trunks across a series of envelopes, while a large bird flies across a diagram of the solar system. From Powell's meticulous linework to the personal touches left on a deck of cards, there are innumerable details to discover in each piece.
You can purchase original art and prints via Powell's online shop, and keep up to date with his latest projects by following his Instagram.

Swirling Strips of Layered Paper Sculptures Explore Lifes Ephemerality "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
Strips of paper are transformed into flowering forms through the art of Lyndi Sales. The Cape Town-based artist harnesses these flat materials, paints them, and arranges them in mesmerizing collages that spiral and fan out across the wallmimicking microscopic life, animal textures, and even distant nebulae.
Sales has crafted sculptural installations for over 20 years, usually exploring the theme of death in her work. Initially, this was centered around her father's death in the Helderberg airplane crash of 1987, but over time, it has translated into a broader exploration of life's ephemerality.
I look to nature for inspiration. The overlapping scales on a snake's skin or the way birds' feathers lay upon each other, Sales tells My Modern Met. For color and pattern, I often take my inspiration from visuals I see while in an altered space. Either through meditation, kundalini yoga, breathwork exercises, and plant medicine ceremonies.
When gazing at these large-scale pieces, the eye is immediately drawn to the numerous patterns that the interlocking pieces create. Enhanced by multiple different shades, these strips of paper stretch out like rays of light or blossom into spirals. There are many ways to interpret the designs that they make, which is part of the reason they are so captivating to look at time and again.
Scroll down to see more images of Sales' paper sculptures, and be sure to follow the artist's Instagram to keep up to date with her latest projects and upcoming exhibitions.

How An Ordinals Collection Could Accelerate El Salvadors Bitcoin Progress "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
An official Ordinals collection by El Salvador could accelerate the progress its making with Bitcoin and confer unique benefits on investors.
This is an opinion editorial by Steven Hay, a writer, former trader and art dealer.
Im a long-time Bitcoiner, preparing to travel and hopefully relocate permanently to El Salvador in 2023. Like many Bitcoiners, I wish to be a part of the amazing changes happening in this country. And Id like to share an idea which I strongly believe has the potential to accelerate those changes.
Similar to the volcano bond concept, this idea employs Bitcoin-linked assets to raise funds for the building of Bitcoin City, or any other worthy project. Unlike bonds, however, these relatively-straightforward assets impose no legal or financial obligations upon the nation. They are simply created and then sold on the free market.
My idea revolves around something many of you have heard of: Bitcoin Ordinals. This new protocol, launched in January 2023, allows for the creation of Bitcoin NFTs linked to single satoshis. Known as inscriptions, these special satoshis are bound to data which is permanently embedded within Bitcoins blockchain. This data can take the form of images, text, video, etc.
Mere months after its creation, this new form of digital asset has already received considerable investment, with at least $21 million in volume traded over the six major marketplaces and additional trades conducted over the counter.. Galaxy Research estimates that the Ordinals market will grow to $4.5 billion in total value by 2025. This figure may well prove to be conservative especially if the government of El Salvador becomes an official participant in this space.
Already, renowned luxury goods makers like Bugatti and Asprey are involved in Ordinals. If private companies are expected to achieve millions of dollars in sales in this new market, how much more could a sovereign state achieve? As the Ordinals mark...

A Letter Mailed in 1916 Finally Reached Its Destination "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
Better late than never, right?
How about 107 years late?
I bet you didnt see that coming, did you?
Well, neither did a man who lives in London, England named Findlay Glen, who received the letter at his residence in South London and immediately recognized that something seemed off about the letter.
Glen said he noticed the 16 on the postmark so he thought it was 2016, but Glen added, Then we noticed that the stamp was a king rather than a queen, so we felt that it couldnt have been 2016.
The man didnt want to open the letter because tampering with mail is a crime, but when he and his girlfriend figured out how old the letter was, they decided to see what was inside.
Glen took the letter to local historian Stephen Oxford who said the letter was written by a woman named Christabel Mennel, who was on vacation in Bath, England, to her friend Katie, who was married to a prominent stamp dealer named Oswald Marsh.
BONE Surges 8.3% As OKX Amasses 1.71 Million BONE Tokens In Single Day "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
While the crypto market appears to be in decline, Bone Shibaswap (BONE), the Shibaswap ecosystems governance token, has been on the rise. As of this writing, the price of Bone Shibaswap has ballooned to an impressive 8.3% in the past 24 hours, according to CoinGecko data.
However, a broader look at BONEs market performance indicates an underwhelming run in the past month. The meme token has experienced a 16.8% price drop in the last 30 days.
Without a doubt, the price rise of Bone Shibaswap is reflective of recent market activity. On-chain data from Etherscan.io reveals that OKX, a prominent cryptocurrency exchange, has acquired a staggering 1,900,736.16586897 BONE tokens (equivalent to $1,788,547.11 ) in the past 24 hours.
This acquisition, executed via multiple transactions, pushed OKX to 12th place on the list of largest BONE holders. OKX is not the only exchange on this list, as Singapore-based firms Crypto.com and MEXC Global are also members of the exclusive club.
The buying spree kicked off after OKX launched a voting event on Friday, April 21st, inviting users to vote for the meme project they would like to see listed on the exchange. The voting event features five of the most popular meme tokens, including AIDOGE, BONE, BONK, OPTI, and PEPE.
OKX also declared its intention to list the three tokens with the highest number of votes. The voting event will end at exactly 06:00 am UTC on April 24th, 2023. Results are to be announced on the same day at 10:00 am UTC.
If OKX does list BONE on its exchange, it will be the coins biggest exchange listing ever. Of course, as has been exhibited in the past 24 hours, this would have an impact on the value of Bone Shibaswap. Other prominent exchanges to have listed the token include Crypto.com, Gate.io, Bitget, Bing, and BTCEX.
Going by the coins movement in the past, BONE surged to new heights when listed by a crypto exchange. However, it is worth noting that these price increases were short-lived, as is often the case in the market these days.
For example, after the cryptocurrency was listed on Crypto.com in early March, it rallied a 14.8% increase in a few days. By the end of March, the token price had plummeted by a disappointing 30.9%.
According to CoinCodex price prediction, the current sentiment for Bone Shibaswap is bearish, with the token expected to lose 6.99% of its current value......
Celer Network (CELR) Soars 11% Amidst General Bearish Trend "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
Celer Network (CELR) is currently experiencing a market pump amidst a general crypto fall. In a week in which several assets have bled with significant losses, CELR has repaid investors confidence gaining 10.8% in the last seven days.
According to more data from Coingecko, CELR has gained by 26.3% in the last two weeks representing a far better market performance than market giants Bitcoin (BTC), and Ethereum (ETH), within the same period.
However, it must be said that CELR is a long way from its market price as of this time last year, with a staggering 44.4% decline from its year-to-date value.
That said, much of CELRs price growth in the past week has been driven by a series of announcements by the project, sparking excitement among the user community and increasing traction on the network.
At press time, CELR is trading around $0.0264, having gone up by 3.2% in the last 24 hours. Based on more data from Coingecko, the ERC-20 token has a daily trading volume of $60.67 million and a total market cap of $149.65 million.
For most investors, it is little to no surprise that Celer has managed to stay above the waters during this crypto storm, as the blockchain network has recorded various exciting developments in the last few weeks.
On April 19, Celer Network announced the expansion of its support for the zkSync Network. According to Celers Twitter post, users can now utilize the cBridge, the networks multi-chain cross-layer asset bridge, to bridge ETH and USDC between the zkSync Era network and over 10 other blockchains, including Ethereum, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Polygon, etc.
The zkSync project is a layer-two scaling solution designed to scale operations on the Ethereum network using zero-knowledge (zk) technology. It is currently one of the nascent and most exciting technologies in the crypto space following the launch of its Alpha Mainnet last month.
In addition to the expansion of its zkSync coverage, Celer Network also unveiled its collaboration with Polygon as one of the initial launch partners of the projects zkEVM upgrade.
The developers team stated that the cBridge would provide support for bridging ETH between Polygon zkEVM and other networks, in...

Bitcoin Price Analysis: Is A Retracement To $25,000 Likely? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
Despite the relative performance of altcoins in 2023, Bitcoin has seen a significant 75% bullish rally since the beginning of the year. However, Bitcoins price has been unable to surpass the resistance level of $30,000 for a week, and this has stirred a technical belief that there is a possibility of a retracement streak toward the medium-term support level of $25,000.
The annual upward movement in the price of Bitcoin, fueled by the banking crisis in March, may be hitting a roadblock at the $30,000 resistance level. To assess the underlying dynamics of BTC, we need to look at an extended chart, which provides a longer-term perspective spanning several weeks.
Historically, the bullish reversals in this time frame have shown a well-defined chart structure, with phases of bullish impulses followed by periods of sideways transitions.

The recent bullish reversal in the last quarter of 2022, followed by the rebound from $20,000 that kickstarted the current rally, was preceded by a notable bullish momentum divergence (as indicated by the RSI technical indicator) from the oversold zone.
The RSI indicator has entered the technical overbought zone as BTC approached the $30,000 resistance level. The overall chart pattern resembles that of August 2020, which saw a retracement from $12,000 to $9,500 before the subsequent bull run starting in October 2020.

The Disappearance of Asha Degree, And Other Mysteries That Keep People Up At Night "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
Theres something about unsolved murders that really gets peoples curiosity going. Not only that, but the longer they go unsolved, the more we all want to know what happened.
Im not sure whether or not well ever have answers for any or all of these, but I do know that wed collectively be a lot happier if we did.
I love unsolved mysteries but one that always gets me is the murder of Missy Bevers. She was killed in the early morning at a church that she taught yoga at.
Security footage from the church showed the murderer roaming the halls of the church all night but thats not whats weird. Whats weird is that the murderer was dressed head to toe in police riot gear. It is the weirdest and eeriest video footage and is just unsettling.
Theres lots of theories but her murder has never been solved and I believe there hasnt even been a real suspect in the case.
The Alps Murders.
To this day not only is there no suspect but seemingly absolutely no motive to the murders of the Al-Hilli family and a completely unrelated French cyclist. The police dont even know who the target was. The more you look at the case, the more questions there are. The victims were killed in the manner of a professional hit, but using a gun that no professional would use.
The gunman was experienced and calm enough to leave the scene quickly and efficiently, so much so that the cyclist on the scene minutes behind Mollier saw and heard absolutely nothing. The murders though were uncontrolled and carried out in broad daylight where anybody could have chanced upon the scene.
Indeed had Saad not beached his car trying to escape, most of the victims may have survived.
No suspect. No motive. No clear target. Weird mix of professional hit and complete novice. This case baffles me utt...
Ethereum (ETH) Drops 11%, Sheds All Gains From Shanghai Rally "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
Ethereum, the worlds second-largest cryptocurrency, has seen its recent rally come to a screeching halt as Ethereum (ETH) has erased all of its gains in the wake of the highly anticipated Shanghai upgrade.
While many had high hopes for this upgrade, which promised to improve the networks speed and scalability, the market seems to have reacted negatively to the news.
This sudden drop in price has left investors wondering what the future holds for Ethereum, and whether or not it can recover from this setback.
At the time of writing, the price of Ethereum stands at $1,860.72 according to CoinMarketCap, but the past 24 hours have not been kind to the cryptocurrency, as it has seen a slump of 4.05%.
The past week has been even more unforgiving, with Ethereum experiencing a significant drop of 11.02%. The once high-flying cryptocurrency is now left to wonder what caused this downturn and whether it can regain its vigor in the days and weeks ahead.
In recent days, the cryptocurrency markets have been displaying signs of fragility, largely due to anxieties about persistently high inflation, fluctuations in the stock market, and the looming threat of an economic recession, which have all contributed to dragging prices downward.
Against this backdrop, Ethereum has been experiencing a steady decline since Tuesday, a trend that has been mirrored in the wider cryptocurrency market.
Bitcoin, for instance, has suffered a drop of over 3% in the past 24 hours alone and has fallen by more than 10% from its recent peak above $30,000, currently trading at just around $27,346.
Despite a recent fall, the price of ETH experienced a false breakout of the local support level at $1,896. However, a daily closure far from the $1,900 mark may trigger a bounce back toward the $1,920-$1,930 zone tomorrow.
On a larger time frame, the situation for Ethereum remains bearish, with the bar on the verge of closing below yesterdays low at $1,913.60. If this happens, there is a high likelihood of further decline towards the next significant support level at $1,846, a scenario that may play out until the end of the week.
Looking ahead from a midterm perspective, Ethereums price has retreated to the middle of a wide cha...

Deadly Eye Drop Recall Vison Loss, Eyeball Removal And Complete Vision Loss "IndyWatch Feed Uncanny"
Eyedrops from Ezricare and Delsam Pharma were recalled in February, and heal authorities are continuing to track infections as they investigate the outbreak. Two more deaths and additional cases of vision loss have been linked to the tainted eyedrops with a drug-resistant bacteria.
In the latest government tally, 69 people have been diagnosed with infections from the bacteria, causing three deaths, eight cases of vision loss, and four people have had to go through eye removal surgery.
This outbreal is particuarly worrisome because the bacteria driving it is completely resistant to antibiotics.
The CDC has identified cases in 16 states, including California, New York, Illinois, Texas, and Pennsylvania. Most cases have been linked to four regional clusters and Ezricares drops are the onoy product used by patients in each of those groups.
The recalled drops were manufactured by Global Pharma Healthcare in India, where the bacteria Pseudomona aeruginosa- is commonly linked to outbreaks in hospitals.

You have likely heard that 97% of scientists agree on human-driven climate change. The overwhelming majority of scientists take no view on the question of whether climate change is man-made, for it is beyond our present knowledge to answer.

There is no scientific evidence or method that can determine how much of the temperature change since 1900 was caused by humans. We know that temperature has varied greatly over the millennia. We also know that for virtually all of that time, global warming and cooling were driven entirely by natural forces.

Would You Ban A Family Member From Your Home If They Got Frisky In Your Bed? "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
Listen, we all know what grown adult people do in their homes and in hotel rooms with their chosen partners, long-term or otherwisebut that doesnt mean we want to know all about it, right?
Especially when those grown adult people are our family, and definitely especially when theyve been staying in our house.
OP had to travel for work and told her sister she could stay at her house to get out of the dorms and to keep an eye on things.
I (28M) had to travel overseas for a couple weeks for work related reasons. My sisters (19F) college is nearby, and she offered to feed my cats and water my plants while I was gone.
I said sure thanks, and told her she was welcome to stay there while I was gone, since she lives in a dorm.
Everything went fine, but when OP arrived home she found her sheets in the wash.
Instead of just saying I wanted to clean them for you like a normal human being, the sister informed her it was because she and her boyfriend were using them while OP was away.
Anyway the day I got home, my sister was there with her boyfriend. That was fine, hes always seemed like a cool guy, but one thing I noticed was that my sheets were still in my washer.
I didnt think much of it, I just assumed my sister waited to wash them, since she was using my bed while she was there.

China Is Fast Losing Money: Their Bitcoin Stash Just Fell By $388 Million "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
When Bitcoin prices fell from $31,000 to below $29,000, the total value of BTC held by China fell by over $388 million to around $5,4 billion.
Bitcoin is trading below $28,500 and looks likely to edge even lower, considering the formation in the daily chart. With every tick lower, China and other countries, including Ukraine and Georgia, are losing money.
The loss could even be bigger for the Chinese considering their big stash of BTC, which translates to around 0.924% of the total fixed supply of 21 million, according to Bitcoin Treasuries data.
Records show that China holds 194,000 BTC, 833,000 ETH, and a variety of other unnamed cryptocurrencies. These digital assets were confiscated from the PlusToken scam in 2019 and were worth over $3 billion.
FUN FACT: Government of China is a crypto whale.
Chinese authorities seized 194k BTC, 833k ETH, and others from the PlusToken scam in 2019. They forfeited these $6 billion-worth assets to the national treasury.

According to reports, these assets were tied to the countrys national treasury. Still, some funds associated with the scam are reportedly being regularly sent to mixers and liquidated at spot rates, impacting prices.
However, whether the Chinese government still holds these assets remain unknown. There is no official Bitcoin address to verify the status of these coins.
PlusToken Scam was a global Ponzi scheme targeting Chinese and South Korean investors. It started in April 2018, taking advantage of unsuspecting people who thought they could make quick money from an investment opportunity.
All users had to pay for registration using cryptocurrencies, mainly BTC, before investing. Perpetrators said they were developing cryptocurrency products.

Intuitive Astrology: Pluto Retrograde 2023 "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"
Pluto is the planet of death and rebirth. Known as the Lord of the Underworld, Plutos retrograde hits us on a psychic level, working on the deeper layers of our being.
Beginning on May 1st, 2023, the Lord of the Underworld will enter his own Underworld, emerging on October 10, 2023, with deeper insights and wisdom.
Pluto Retrograde guides us to look over the transformations of the past, what has fallen away, what has risen, and what is still lingering in the shadows.
Pluto enters its retrograde journey in the sign of Aquarius. This is the first retrograde Pluto has made in Aquarius in our lifetime, making it extra significant.
Pluto will only remain retrograde in Aquarius until June 11, when it will backtrack into Capricorn, so this is a rare window to dig deeper into the Pluto-Aquarius themes.
Plutos entrance into Aquarius began a powerful and new cycle. Some even feel it is the beginning of our transition into the Age of Aquarius.
Pluto in Aquarius is said to bring more power to technology, a greater focus on community and humanitarianism, and spiritual advancement.
Every element of what Pluto brings has a light side and a dark side. Every element of what Pluto brings is set to create some deaths, some rebirths, and deep transformations.
Pluto is the process of everything burning and the rise that comes when the ashes are ready to be transformed.
During a Pluto Retrograde, we feel guided to reflect on the cycles of death and rebirth in our own lives.
There are two time periods we may find ourselves drawn to look at. The first is from March 23, 2023. What transformations have unfolded since this time? How have we changed and evolved? How have we rebirthed ourselves?
The next period to look back over is since October 8, 2022. This was the last day that Pluto was in Retrograde. Since this date, how has your life transformed? What death and rebirths have taken place? What transformations have you moved through?
Pluto is subtle in its approach, so sometimes it is hard to glean how it has been moving through our lives. Even posing these questions may not give us the clarity we need to understand the journey of this planet.
Pluto works on the deeper layers, and its really only when its finished its journey in a zodiac sign that we can truly understand the wisdom, lessons, and transformations it was destined to bring.
Pluto is nearing the end of its journey in Capricorn, but as this retrograde shows, we still have some work to do as Pluto will continu...

XRP Correction Continues: Elliott Waves Theory Predicts Wave 2 At $0.38 "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
Since reaching its yearly high of $0.5842 on March 29th, XRP has experienced a significant price drop. The token has lost its bullish momentum and failed to breach higher levels, disappointing investors who were optimistic about the uptrend of one of the largest cryptocurrencies in the market.
It is worth noting that XRPs recent price drop is part of a wider market correction affecting the entire cryptocurrency market. Despite this, trader and crypto analyst Dark Defender believes that there is still further correction ahead for XRP.
On April 1st, Dark Defender made a bold prediction for the price of XRP based on Elliott Waves theory. According to Dark Defender, the token completed its first wave (W1) at around $0.59 and is expected to enter a second wave (W2) that will find support between $0.48 and $0.38.
As of now, there have been no changes to Dark Defenders prediction, and XRP remains in correction unless it breaks its resistance level of $0.59 and stays above it for three consecutive days. Dark Defender has provided a list of support levels for XRP, including $0.4812, $0.45544, $0.42044, and $0.38813. The analyst believes that XRP will finish this last correction at one of these levels before targeting the $3 mark.
Furthermore, the analyst has provided a bullish prediction for XRPs future, stating that the third wave (W3) of this structure is expected to reach between $2 and $3.47 by the end of this year. However, this wave 3 above $1.33 will be the predecessor of the Grand Wave 3. In scenario 2, Dark Defender predicts that XRP will continue to rise in value.
As of this writing, XRP is currently trading at $0.4582, which represents a drop of over 2.6% in the last 24 hours. On wider time frames, the token has recorded significant drops of 11% and 9.2% in the seven and fourteen-day time frames, respectively. This means that if Dark Defenders prediction is correct, XRP may still have plenty of downtrends to experience, potentially reaching the lower lows of March 21st at $0.3...

Time To Pay Attention: Bitcoin Reaches Logical Level "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
Bitcoin price is experiencing one of its more significant corrections since the trend began to change directions.
According to the creator of the Bollinger Bands, its once again time to pay attention this time because BTCUSD has pulled back to a logical level.
Bitcoin reached almost double from current bear market lows, nearly convincing the crypto community a new bullish trend had begun. With BTCUSD now down more than 10% from local highs, fear is already back on the air in a major way.
Bulls are now all but silent, after just recently declaring the bull market has returned. Bears are already celebrating the correction as continuation of the bearish trend getting underway.
More tactical technicians, like John Bollinger, simply believe its time to pay attention, and havent yet taken a side. The quote has become a bit of a catchphrase for the creator of the Bollinger Bands. But what exactly is he talking about?
The Bollinger Bands are a volatility measuring tool. The tools creator recently pointed out an expansion after a lengthy phase or narrowing. This behavior is referred to as a squeeze and suggests an uptick in volatility is ahead. Which is precisely what we are witnessing now.
Volatility is the measure of price dispersion across a timeframe, and after very little movement, BTCUSD is like a rollercoaster once again. Ups and downs are par for the course.
The Bollinger Bands are made up of a 20-period simple moving average (SMA), to where price pulled back to and has now broken below. The upper and lower bands are set at two standard deviations of the SMA.
The next logical level to look for support would be the lower band, located at around $27,000. Once Bitcoin hits the level it could continue downward with strength or snap back to the top of the band.

Tornado Cash Suffers 13% Bear Hit, Will Parole Save Price? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
Tornado Cash token (TORN) is trading on a negative 13% in todays trade session, canceling its previous days gains and rally, which saw the token rise close to the $12 mark. Coinmarketcap data reveals the token to be trading at $8.77 at the time of writing, a significant drop from where it was in price yesterday.
The TORN token and its decentralized mixing service platform became controversial when its developer, Alexey Pertev, was arrested mid-last year allegedly for money laundering. However, news about the possible jail release of Alexey circulated the industry yesterday, April 20, and created a rally for the TORN token.
According to a recent report, the developer of the TORN token, Alexey Pertev, is expected to be released on April 26, 2023, after spending nine months in detention without trial.
The news of his potential release came yesterday when the crypto markets were declining. However, the Tornado Cash token reacted to the news of Alexeys release and defied market conditions by displaying bullish price action.
While the rally drew investors attention, the token could not continue its upward movements today despite positive price speculations by crypto experts and analysts.
Alexey Pertev, who is set to be released next Wednesday, will await trial from his home as ruled by a court in the Netherlands.
Upon his release, electronic monitoring devices such as an ankle bracelet will be installed on him and other monitoring devices in his home, according to the report.
At the time of writing, the TORN token is currently ranked among the top 3 losers in the cryptocurrency market. Alexey Pertevs release date is approaching, and we may witness Tornado Cash reacting in price as it did with the news about his release.

North Carolina House Introduces Bill That Would Prohibit Payment To The State In Bitcoin "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
House Bill 690, No Cryptocurrency Payments to State, would stop citizens of North Carolina from paying the state using bitcoin.
The General Assembly of North Carolina has introduced a bill that would ban the usage of bitcoin as payment to the state or state agencies.
According to a source familiar with the matter, the original intent of the introduction of the bill was to prevent the usage of CBDCs in the state however, the wording in the bill encompasses cryptocurrencies and bitcoin instead of CBDCs, and appears to be a direct anti-bitcoin and cryptocurrency usage bill.
The
bill, which carries the short title of No Cryptocurrencies
Payments to State, and is sponsored by House Representatives
Warren
and Brody, provides
two definitions.
It defines cryptocurrency as, digital or virtual currency that
relies on cryptography to effect transfers and a decentralized
network to record transactions, and a state agency as any
institution, bureau, board, commission, officer or political
subdivision of the State.
The bill then proclaims that no State agency shall accept a payment using cryptocurrency, and that the act is effective when it becomes law.
Although short, the bill would be a step in the wrong direction
for the state, which just recently saw other legislation pushed
forward
to halt bitcoin mining operations in the county encompassing
the city of Asheville.
The source familiar with the matter stated that it is likely that
this bill will be contested and that efforts to educate legislators
will likely take place.

United Nations Climate change quotes not often heard in media "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"
The common enemy of humanity is man. In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. All these dangers are caused by human intervention, and it is only through changed attitudes and behavior that they can be overcome. The real enemy then, is humanity itself. Club of Rome, premier environmental think-tank, consultants to the United Nations.
We need to get some broad based support, to capture the publics imagination So we have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified, dramatic statements and make little mention of any doubts Each of us has to decide what the right balance is between being effective and being honest. Is The Final Shakeout Moment Coming For Bitcoin? Expert Weighs In "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
In January of this year, Bitcoin broke above its 200-day MA for the first time since the end of 2021. This was a significant milestone for the cryptocurrency, as it had not seen such a signal in over a year. This breakout was a clear indication of Bitcoins bullish momentum and its potential for further growth in the future.
Additionally, Bitcoin retested the 200-day moving average in March and remained well above it, demonstrating its robust behavior. However, the leading cryptocurrency is approaching a lower-level retest at $28,000. Whether Bitcoin will withstand further price decline and continue its bullish trend or if a final shakeout is imminent.
Recently, there has been speculation that Bitcoins price might be poised for a significant rally as spring arrives. However, the situation is not quite simple as with many things in the crypto world.
According to the expert in the cryptocurrency industry, Mr. Ben Lily, the current halving cycle is an important factor to consider when evaluating Bitcoins price movements. When BTC comes off halving cycle lows, it commonly does not immediately clear the 200-day moving average (MA) and stays above it.
Instead, it tends to return below the 200-day MA before ultimately moving on to form all-time highs. This pattern can be observed in the chart below, which shows the 200-day MA (represented by the dark red line) and the orange circles, which indicate when the price dipped below the 200-day MA.
Furthermore, Lily argues that nothing suggests that the market should expect anything different this time. He believes a catalyst coming this summer will coincide with Bitcoins price dipping below the 200-day MA.

Crying Virgin Mary Statue Exposed as Fraud, Italian Woman Flees In Response "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"
An Italian woman given the moniker The Saint mysteriously left a lakeside town near Rome after a private investigator opened a judicial investigation against her after claiming that the Virgin Mary statue she brought shed tears of blood.
The Saint leaves Italian town after case opened into statues tears of blood https://t.co/L43YZZaXOi
The Guardian (@guardian) April 11, 2023
Originally from Sicily, Maria Giuseppe Scarpulla and her husband left the town of Trevignano Romano around two weeks ago after an investigator allegedly found the blood stains on the Virgin Mary statue she brought from Bosnia came from pigs blood.
The strange story began in 2016 when Scarpulla, known to her followers as Gisella Cardia, purchased the Virgin Mary statue at a Catholic pilgrimage site in Medjugorje, Bosnia. After returning to Italy, Scarpulla claimed the Madonna statue was weeping tears of blood and communicating messages to her.
Lol, imagine believing this
All.Hail.Lord.Revan. (@AllRevan) April 11, 2023
The Virgin Mary statue was then enclosed in a glass case and placed in a park overlooking Lake Bracciano. Every third day of each month, hundreds of devotees would flock to Trevignano Romano to pray before the statue and receive divine messages from Scarpulla. Many of these pilgrims were searching for cures for their illnesses.
Being accused of bankruptcy fraud in the past, Scarpulla created a foundation where she collected donations. She claimed the donations would go to setting up a center for sick children.
With locals complaining over the monthly surge of devotees and an area in the park reportedly purchased with the collected donations, the Virgin Mary statue generated considerable interest from the media. This attention pushed the towns local bishop, Marco Salvi, to announce last March that the church would investigate the phenomenon surrounding the blood-weeping Madonna statue.

Sundar Iyer and Ramana Kompella, the two higher-caste Cisco engineers involved in the case, allegedly discriminated against and harassed an employee because of caste, a division based on birth and descent.
The Dalit engineer who filed the lawsuit in July 2020 recalled how he received less pay and fewer opportunities and how the defendants retaliated against him when he called out the unlawful practices, contrary to the traditional order between the Dalit and higher castes in the company.
The lawsuit reminded a Dalit techie I spoke to, of all the cases of caste discrimination he had faced over 20 years in the US. I never documented these instances, because I never thought caste discrimination would be taken seriously, he says.
Anahita Mukherji (@Newspaperwalli) July 9, 2020
The lawsuit also stated that the Dalit engineer worked with a team in Ciscos San Jose headquarters with Indians who immigrated to the US as adults, and all belonged to higher castes.
Last week, the lawsuit was scrapped upon the Santa Clara Superior County Court orders. The employee who filed the lawsuit belonged to the Dalit community, located at the bottom-most part of the Indian caste s...
Scientists Have Finally Cracked the Code on How the Mayan Calendar Works "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
Despite being one of the most venerated and prolific ancient cultures, the Maya civilization is still surrounded by a veil of mystery. There are many aspects about the Mayans that have kept scientists and archeologists busy throughout the years, from their architectural wonders to the complexity of their deities. Overall, one of the most elusive elements of this civilization was a 819-day calendaruntil now. The centuries-long enigma is now over thanks to two scholars from Tulane University, who have finally figured out how the Mayan calendar works.
John H. Linden and Victoria R. Bricker published their findings in the journal Ancient Mesoamerica. They explain that though previous examinations were onto something by thinking it related to the synodic periodsthe time it takes for a planet to appear and then return to the same spot in the sky in relation to the Sun, as seen from Earth the key was in viewing it across a much larger time period for it to be fully understood.
How much larger? Forty-five years to be precise. Although prior research has sought to show planetary connections for the 819-day count, its four-part, color-directional scheme is too short to fit well with the synodic periods of visible planets, the authors write. The key to the mystery was in the number at the heart of the Mayan numeral system, which is base-20. By increasing the calendar length to 20 periods of 819-days, a pattern emerges in which the synodic periods of all the visible planets commensurate with station points in the larger 819-day calendar.
In other words, the Mayans traced a 45-year view (20 periods of 819 days) of planetary alignment and turned it into a calendar. The confusing part about the 819-day period was ma...
Holy Spirit Board: A Ouija Board for Talking to Jesus "IndyWatch Feed Uncanny"

Whether you live in an apartment, a condo, or a house, theres a good chance youre going to encounter a nosy neighbor at one point in your life. I mean, unless you live out in the country, I guess, but small towns have their own issues.
If youre dealing with a neighbor right now who just cant mind their own business, the internet has a few suggestions!
I had an old neighbor like this once.
It was back when I lived in a small conservative town in the US midwest, still pretty freshly married and also freshly out my own with my wife.
Anyway, my wife and I would always be sitting on the front porch of the place we lived (upper\lower styler duplex) we both worked a lot. Seeing as how we were working minimum wage jobs at the time we had to work a lot so we could pay bills, and eat, and put some money back. So the little time we had to relax and unwind together was pretty precious to us, (still is tbh).
So a few months pass of us living at this place and one day this very tall, very bald, black man just walked up onto the porch while were sitting there relaxing. Weve had a pretty good amount of sketchy people see us on the porch and either ask us to bum smokes, or if they can have some loose change, or if we know where to get any good drugs
(I only mention his race because this is very conservative town in the pretty rural midwest)
We kinda look at each other and him as hes walking up, and say Hi how are you? Not knowing what what to expect.
He replies, haaaaayyyyyyy, how yall doing tonight? My name is Thomas but yall can just call me T. I just wanted to stop by and introduce myself, I live in that house right over...
Researchers Develop mRNA Treatment That Could Combat a Peanut Allergy "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
Peanut allergies are at the very least inconvenient and at the worst deadly. Over 4.6 million adults in the U.S. are allergic to the legumes. For young children, discovering one's allergy can be a dangerous time. A new study published in ACS Nano might offer a potential cure for peanut allergies by using mRNA lipid nanoparticles to train the body out of an allergy.
Researchers at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) were inspired by the use of mRNA in the creation of the COVID vaccine. As far as we can find, mRNA has never been used for an allergic disease, paper co-author Dr. Andr Nel said to New Atlas. Weve shown that our platform can work to calm peanut allergies, and we believe it may be able to do the same for other allergens, in food and drugs, as well as autoimmune conditions. Trials have already shown the procedure to reduce allergic reactions to peanuts in mice.
What is the mechanism behind this exciting advance? According to MD/PhD scholar Anna Nowak-Wegrzyn, Food allergy is defined as an immune system-mediated adverse reaction to food proteins. In the case of peanut...

Shiba Inu Whales On Buying Spree, Add 311 Billion Tokens During Price Dip "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
Whales have resumed their Shiba Inu buying spree as the meme coin price declined alongside the global crypto market. According to the WhaleStats report, a top ETH whale picked up $3.22 million worth of SHIB tokens over the past 24 hours.
The Ethereum whale performed the purchase in two transactions, scooping over 311 billion Siba Inu tokens within minutes.
Shiba Inu has been on the list of preferred assets among top Ethereum whales over the past few months. The whales actively packed large chunks of SHIB tokens between January and February. However, it appears the whales went on break, waiting for another opportunity to strike.

The whale bought 194,114,774,578 Shiba Inu tokens worth $2,069,263 before initiating another transaction for 117,883,216 SHIB worth $1,256,643. The unexpected token accumulation comes as Shiba Inus price fell from its critical support level at $0.0000107.
The recent price decline comes after several days of massive SHIB token burn by the Shiba Inu community to boost the meme coins price. In the days following the Shibarium PuppyNet launch, large chunks of Shiba Inu coins went into the dead wallets.

Bound with colorful cushions and twine, draped in chains of spheres, or sprouting a single leaf from their head, the characters that originate in Frode Bolhuiss Almere studio embody the Dutch artists playful imagination and desire for experimentation. Part of an ongoing sculpture project, the expressive cast is currently comprised of 117 miniature figures made primarily of polymer clay with wood, fiber, and metal additions, each of which has a distinctive personality.
Bolhuis (previously) began the project with the intention of creating a new work each day, although he shares that in order to refine the characters features and fashion their garments, hes more likely to complete two per week. Frankensteins monster here has good fashion sense and, as you can see by the ironic crime t-shirt, a great subtle sense of humor and probably some punk-adjacent political views at the least. The question even implies that hes volunteering to patrol the streets to keep people safe and reduce peoples reliance on cops
Not only do I want him patrolling my neighborhood, I want to ask him out
likethe crime frankenstein looks lovely and the cop looks like hes gonna murder you if you breathe too loud
Crime Frank knows what its like to be prejudged based on appearance, so you know hes gonna take a little time to think about what hes seeing when he arrives on the scene.
No question about it, Crime Frank for me!
Now I want fanart of Crime Frankenstein. I want him to come to represent community-run conflict resolution/crisis response programs. 9-Year-Old Discovers 200-Million-Year-Old Ammonite Fossil in Beach Cliff "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
Imagine strolling down a beautiful beach, enjoying the crisp sea breeze, when all of a sudden you look up and see something strange embedded in a towering rock cliff lining the shore. On closer inspection, it's a large spiral, a shell. In fact, it's the fossil of a 200-year-old ammonite, a mollusk from the Jurassic period. This is exactly how a day at Llantwit Major beach turned into an extraordinary discovery for 9-year-old Eli and his dad Glenn Morris. The Welsh boy's find is rare in that area and exciting for researchers.
Eli lives with his family in Birchgrove, Swansea, in Wales. He is not new to fossil hunting, even at such a young age. He usually goes fossil hunting with his dad. We're always on the coast somewhere, usually down Gower way, but this was our first time here, so it was beginner's luck really, Morris told the BBC. I was a bit of a nerd growing up and liked dinosaurs and rocks and the same things he's into to be honest and I think I've passed it onto him. Eli has gathered some fossil samples for his own collection through these expeditions. He told the BBC, They're just interesting and I like their shape and the texture. It's just cool.
This day, the family had traveled slightly further afield to the charming rocky, cliffside beach. Eli said, I was just sitting here and looked up and thought Oh my God, that's big!' He had spotted a spiral-shaped shell peaking from the cliff, a blue lias formation. Dr. Nick Felstead of Swansea University commented on the fossil: The fossil Eli found is an ammonite, which was a type of mollusk closely related to octopuses, squid, and cuttlefish, which is a rare find at Llantwit Major. We can see that the inner chambers that would have been u...

Divorce Fiction: On Ursula Parrott "IndyWatch Feed Literature"
Id never heard of Ursula Parrott when McNally Editions introduced me to Ex-Wife, the authors 1929 novel about a young woman who suddenly finds herself suspended in the caliginous space between matrimony and divorce. The first thing I wondered was where it had been all my life. Ex-Wife rattles with ghosts and loss and lonely New York apartments, with men who change their minds and change them again, with people and places that assert their permanence by the very fact that theyre gone and theyre never coming back. Originally published anonymously, Ex-Wife stirred immediate controversy for Parrotts frank depiction of her heroine, Patricia, a woman whose allure does not spare her from desertion after an open marriage proves to be an asymmetrical failure. Embarking on a marathon of alcoholic oblivion and a series of mostly joyless dips into the waters of sexual liberation, Patricia spends the book ricocheting between her fear of an abstract future and her fixation on a past that has been polished, gleaming from memorys sleight of hand.
Its been nearly a century since Ex-Wife had its flash of fame (the book sold more than one hundred thousand copies in its first year), and as progress has stripped divorce of its moral opprobrium, it has also swelled the ranks of us ex-wives. Folded in with Patricias descriptions of one-night stands and prohibition-busting binges are the kind of hollow distractions relatable to any of us who have ever wanted to forget: she buys clothes she cant afford; she gets facials and has her hair done; she listens to songs on repeat while wearily wondering why heartache always seems to bookend love. My copy is riddled with exclamation marks and anecdotes that chart my own parallel romantic catastrophes, its paragraphs vandalized with highlighted passages and br...
Adults Out of Control: The Spread of Stress Reactivity "IndyWatch Feed Fertility"
Concealed weapons laws, self-defense shooting laws, vigilantism whats behind the feeling of threat in the air?
Robert Sapolsky summarized the research on stress in his bestseller, Why Zebras Dont Get Ulcers. Why dont they? Because their stress response is used for mobilization, to get them away from a perceived threat. The stress response moves body resources into fight or flight mechanisms. Very useful for zebras and for our ancestors running from predators. It is not as useful for us now.
Stress is not in itself harmful, unless it comes at the wrong time, is too intense, lasts too long, or happens too much. We can see that such things may have contributed to Staff Sergeant Robert Bales shooting rampage.
Stress reactivity is particularly harmful. Stress reactivity means that you are threat reactive that you have a low threshold for threat and a perceived threat triggers a stress response. This is not a good use of the stress response.
Sapolsky showed how stress reactivity can destroy health. But I think it can also destroy a society.
The stress response makes you stupid, because, anticipating action, it moves blood flow aw...

Cupcake Tiered Display Stand "IndyWatch Feed Diy"
Make an easy and inexpensive cupcake display in just a couple of hours!
I recommend prefinishing all of the boards.
After letting them dry time to assemble.
Using a nailer and glue repeat this process for all 4 "U" shaped pieces.
Once all the pieces are nailed, it's time to glue and stack them.
I recommend taking the extra step of further securing the stacked boards with a scrap 1x2, it made it much stronger and secure.
Now add the treads with more glue along the side and back. If you need to secure it more, nail to side edges.
I touched up the paint after assembly and love how it turned out! I think it would also work...
Wood Lantern Tutorial "IndyWatch Feed Diy"
To build these wood lanterns, you'll need pine or "whitewood" boards for the base, in 1x6, 1x8 or 1x10 sizes (depending on the size of lantern you are building).
For the 3/4" x 3/4" pieces, you can buy 3/4" square dowels online or at most home improvement stores. If you are building in bulk, it is much less expensive to take a wider width board, like a 1x8 or 1x12, and rip it into 3/4" strips. Ripping is not easy for this small of a piece, do not attempt without experience using a table saw.
This plan include three different style bases, for your personal preference. Use the cut list that matches your base to build your lantern.
1x4 Wood Cake Stand Plans - 10" and 18" Sizes "IndyWatch Feed Diy"
Build this stacked cake stand in an hour or less!
Start by cutting all of your boards, be sure to sand any rough edges. Now you may leave the wood natural or I recommend prefinishing the boards.
For assembly, you will nail and glue the 4 side piece together.
Next set the planks across the top keeping them flush to each side. Nail and glue each board down to the box base.
You will build the next box with the same steps as the first and then just stack! This DIY cake stand is easy to personalize with initials or a name. Plus you may customize the size or how many boxes you stack. Something this simple, why not take an ordinary cake to the next level?

Bitcoin At $25,000 Or $30,000? Crypto Analyst Weighs In "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
Bitcoin has experienced a hard couple of days after climbing above $30,000 last week. The coin reaching a new 9-month high triggered euphoria in the market. However, it has begun to wear off as Bitcoin has now returned to $28,000 once more. The question now is where does BTC go from here? Does it continue its uptrend and is further downside more likely for the cryptocurrency?
Speaking on where Bitcoin might go from here, analyst Micheal van de Poppe shared his forecasts. The analyst shared a BTC chart that showed unpredictable movement for the cryptocurrency at best, signaling that BTC had entered a region where forecasts are hard to come up with.
He put the next crucial point for the digital asset at the $27,600 level. Given that Bitcoin had previously ranged support here before its run-up above $30,000, it becomes an important level. Van de Poppe explained that the rally could continue from here but it would need to be fast. Could take liquidity beneath, but needs a fast recovery, he explained.
#Bitcoin is currently showing weakness.
Broke back in the range, lost one of the crucial levels.
Final crucial level is at $27,600. Could take liquidity beneath, but needs a fast recovery.
If not, and no break of $28,800, then I suspect we'll see $26,200. pic.twitter.com/TuCaFq8eIk
Michal van de Poppe (@CryptoMichNL) April 21, 2023
On the flip side of this is the $28,800 resistance being mounted by the bears. At this point, the analyst explains that it becomes crucial to breach this level. In the event that bulls are unable to retake it, then he puts the price back in the $26,000 territory.
BTC is now at a point where it becomes very important for it to at least see some upside if it is to continue holding its value. This is because its decline to $28,000 has now put it firmly below its 20-day moving average. So while Bitcoin remains bullish for the long term, the short term has turned bearish very quickly.
Right now, there is support at $28,000 but there is no telling if this will hold as BTC is already below $28,100. The mounting resistance at $28,800 is also a deterrent right now for investors, who are choosing to keep their...

Artist Recreates Michelangelos David as an Origami Sculpture From a Single Sheet of Paper "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
Widely regarded as the most famous statue in the world, almost everyone can recognize Michelangelo's David. While we are accustomed to seeing it in its marble form, some artists have reimagined its likeness into new and varied mediums. Artist @mayuncchigami has recreated this masterpiece as a highly detailed origami using only one square sheet of paper.
The intricate piece features many of the same features of the original artwork, including realistic anatomy and the contrapposto stance. The artist began the project with a crease pattern created by Boice Wong, which provides a basic structure for the model. However, instead of following it to a T, @mayuncchigami incorporated his own vision, wanting to amplify the realism, particularly the musculature of David. My goal was to both recreate Michelangelo's statue as closely as I could with origami, but also try something that is very much unlike anything you would typically encounter in origami, he tells My Modern Met.
Prior to commencing the project, @mayuncchigami prepared a 55 x 55 cm (21.7-square-inch) wenzhou paper (a type of material made out of mulberry bark) by treating it with methylcellulose, which makes the paper stiffer and more resistant to tearing. Afterward, he followed the pattern to create the basic structure. Here is when I started to experiment with shaping the various skeletal muscles, he explains. I roughly sketched out my shaping, first by tracing the lines and shapes into the paper with my fingers and tweezers to get a feeling of the overall form and position of the various details until I...

Bitcoin Exchange Outflows Spike, Bullish Sign? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
On-chain data shows the Bitcoin exchange outflows have seen a significant spike during the past day, a sign that may be bullish for the price.
As pointed out by an analyst in a CryptoQuant post, a total of 2,138 BTC has been taken out of exchanges during the last day. The exchange outflow is an indicator that measures the total amount of Bitcoin thats being withdrawn from the wallets of all centralized exchanges.
When the value of this metric has an elevated value, it means the investors are transferring out a large number of coins from these platforms. Generally, holders withdraw their BTC from exchanges for holding onto them for extended periods in offsite wallets. Because of this reason, elevated values of this metric can be a sign of accumulation, and hence, can be bullish for the cryptocurrencys price.
On the other hand, the low values of the indicator imply there arent many withdrawals happening in the market right now. Such a trend can be either bearish or neutral for the asset, depending on how the exchange inflow, the counterpart indicator, is behaving at the moment.
Holders usually deposit to exchanges for selling-related purposes, so when the exchange inflow has high values, it suggests the investors may be participating in a selloff of the asset. Naturally, this can have bearish consequences for the price.
Now, here is a chart that shows the trend in the Bitcoin exchange outflow, as well as in the inflow, over the last day:
As displayed in the above graph, the Bitcoin exchange outflow has registered a very sharp spike in the last few hours. In total, the investors have withdrawn 2,138 BTC (about $60.6 million at the current exchange rate) from exchanges with this spike.
Since these large withdrawals have come while the price of the cryptocurrency has been in the lower $28,000 values (which are relatively low levels considering the price had been above $30,000 just a few days ago), its possible that these transfe...

The End of American Exceptionalism? "IndyWatch Feed Survival"
This article was originally published by Philip Giraldi at The Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity.
Watching a once-great nation commit suicide is not pretty. President Joe Biden does not seem to understand that his role as the elected leader of the United States is to take actions that directly or indirectly benefit the folks who voted for him as well as the other Americans who did not do so. That is how a constitutional democracy is supposed to work.
Instead, Biden and the gang of introverts and neocon war criminals that the has surrounded himself with have done everything that can to inflict fatal damage on the economy through rash initiatives both overseas and at home. A spending spree to buy support from the bizarre constituencies that make up the Democrat Party base while also fighting an undeclared war in Europe has meant that nearly two trillion dollars have been added to the national debt under Bidens rule, a debt that was already unsustainable at nearly $30 trillion, larger than the United States gross national product. Plans to cancel student loan debts will add hundreds of billions of dollars more to the red ink.
And those actions, undertaken overseas, are to include continuing to expand the war in Ukraine against Russia, which will do immeasurable more damage. Consider how the Democratic Party has long had it in for Russian Federal President Vladimir Putin, dating back to when Putin took power in 2000 and started kicking out the Western scallywags who were looting his country. Subsequently, false intelligence and other innuendoes were contrived by Hillary Clinton and her team in 2016 to implicate Donald Trump as a Russian stooge who was secretly working for Putin. When that didnt work and Trump was elected, the Russians were accused by the media and Democrats of willy-nilly interfering in US elections more generally speaking, a much-exaggerated claim in contrast to the overwhelming silence surrounding the real electoral and policy interference, which has been coming from Israel and its fifth column inside the United States, who, not coincidentally, are the chief proponents of the war against Russia.
Placing a target on Vladimir Putins back appears to have an unfortunate consequence that Biden has yet to wake up to, namely the fact that the United States now has what might be described as a Ponzi scheme faux economy which is very vulnerable, particularly as much of the world has become disenchanted with the US style of global leadership. Note for example the recent state visit by French President Emmanuel Macron to Beijing, where he...

The Role of Collagen in Keeping Cancer Cells Dormant: A New Frontier in Cancer Treatment "IndyWatch Feed Health"
Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide, with 19.3 million new cases and 10 million deaths recorded in 2020 alone (International Agency for Research on Cancer, 2020). As the global population ages and the prevalence of risk factors such as smoking, obesity, and physical inactivity increases, the cancer burden is expected to rise further. Therefore, there is a pressing need for innovative and effective treatments to combat this disease.
In recent years, the relationship between collagen, a protein found in the human body, and cancer has been gaining attention in the scientific community. Researchers have discovered that certain types of collagen can keep cancer cells dormant and prevent them from becoming malignant. This article will delve into the science behind this claim, explore possible means of obtaining collagen, and provide a recipe to incorporate this protein into your diet.
Cancer cells can exist in a dormant state, not causing harm or spreading to other parts of the body. However, once these cells become active, they can grow and divide uncontrollably, resulting in the formation of tumors and the spread of cancer throughout the body.
A study conducted by researchers at the Duke Cancer Institute found that cancer cells can remain dormant by secreting a specific type of collagen, known as type XVIII collagen (Barkan et al., 2018). This type of collagen forms a protective barrier around the cancer cells, preventing them from interacting with their environment and turning malignant.
The study also revealed that when collagen levels fall, cancer cells are more likely to become active and malignant. This finding suggests that maintaining sufficient levels of type XVIII collagen in the cancer cells environment could be crucial in keeping them dormant.
The Duke Cancer Institute study has opened up new possibilities in cancer treatment, as adding type XVIII collagen to the cancer cells environment could potentially force them to remain dormant. This approach could be used in combination with existing treatments like chemotherapy and radiation therapy to improve their effectiveness and reduce the risk of cancer recurrence.
There are several ways to potentially increase collagen levels in the body, including:

The Bitcoin Culture War Wont Win Mass Adoption "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
Prominent Bitcoiners, many of whom advocate lifestyle maximalism, may be hurting adoption by leaning in one political direction.
This is an opinion editorial by Trey Walsh, the senior director for youth programs at the MassHire Metro North Workforce Board in Somerville, Massachusetts.
Since its inception in 2009, Bitcoin has caught the world by storm, leaving many stumped by its continued adoption and growing number of use cases, and leading many others to continually dismiss it or manufacture cultural and political narratives about it to satisfy their own agendas.
We will never know the true intentions behind the creation of Bitcoin due to the pseudonymity of its creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, but it is widely believed that Bitcoin was created in response to the 2008 Global Financial Crisis and a widespread distrust of traditional financial institutions. Since 2008, this distrust of financial institutions, our political system and global organizations such as the World Bank and World Economic Forum has arguably continued to grow, while Bitcoin gains steam and interest continues to pique in its direction.
As more and more folks begin to notice Bitcoin, they also tend to notice what I consider to be Bitcoins social layer and in this context, Im referring to the range of social and cultural norms and values that have emerged among its users and biggest voices.
Every movement in this case, a technological and monetary revolution has a social layer and culture. Bitcoin is a complex and evolving phenomenon, with many nuances, but I would argue it is one that has been dominated, at least in the context of the United States, by those on the political right ranging from those with far-right wing, fringe ideologies to Libertarians to mainstream Republicans.
This dominance resonates for liberal democracies throughout the West, but as an American, I will focus on the U.S. While Bitcoin users and holders may vary greatly across the social, cultural and political spectrums, many of Bitcoins biggest proponents and greatest public figures would identify most often with the political right and are predominately white men.
This is a value-neutral statement; an observation of the current demographic and ideological camp of prominent Bitcoiners. However, many people I know have been turned off from Bitcoin because they dont see their values represented in the community. Those from marginalized groups, the LGBTQ+ community, progressives and many others can become distracted and outright dismiss Bitcoin as one of the fringe or radical ideas that have come from...

OKB Unfazed By Crypto Market Bloodshed, Rallies 22% Today "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
OKB, the native cryptocurrency of the OKX exchange, is defying the odds in the midst of the current crypto market downturn, registering an unexpected surge in price and demand.
Despite the latest turbulence in the crypto industry, OKB has managed to maintain its bullish momentum. This sudden upswing has caught the attention of investors and crypto enthusiasts alike, who are now scrambling to jump on the OKB bandwagon.
But what is behind OKBs remarkable resilience in the face of a bleeding crypto market, and what does this mean for the future of the cryptocurrency?
According to CoinMarketCap, OKB is currently trading at $52.98, up an impressive 12.34% in the last seven days. This surge in price has left many investors and analysts curious about the factors contributing to OKBs bullish momentum, especially given the overall downward trend of the crypto market in recent weeks.
The crypto market is currently facing a bleak state, with leading crypto Bitcoin struggling to reclaim the $30,000 mark and Ethereum falling below $2,000.
Despite multiple attempts by Bitcoin to break past the crucial $30,000 resistance level, it has remained unsuccessful in doing so, resulting in a dip in investor confidence.
Ethereum, on the other hand, has been facing its own set of challenges, with a drop in demand and increasing concerns about network congestion. The overall market sentiment has been bearish, with many investors pulling out of the market in anticipation of further price drops.
Meanwhile, OKBs latest surge cannot be solely attributed to technical analysis, as fundamental factors played a significant role in its growth. Two key factors can be identified, the first being the announcement of the SUI blockchain and its integration with OKX.
OKB holders will have the opportunity t...

The pro-immigration argument that everyone hates "IndyWatch Feed Fertility"
Fortunately people hate it because it is wrong, otherwise they would have to hate it for less intellectually honest reasons. The basic context of course is that native rates of fertility are in irreversible decline. Here goes:
Immigration is not going so well today in terms of assimilation. Yet in the future it will go worse yet, because the native-borns will be smaller in number and also older and less energetic. Nonetheless we need to take in a lot of immigrants today, as a kind of practice, so we can get used to the much greater number of immigrants we will need to take in a generation or two from now. It is better to be a crummy country than a country of 33,000 people. And so we must become crummier now, so that later on our rise in crumminess is modestly tempered, though it still will happen. Open the gates!

Dominic Raabs resignation letter is uncannily like what a bully would say only 23 responses you need "IndyWatch Feed Satire"
Dominic Raab has (finally) resigned as justice secretary and deputy prime minister after an inquiry into multiple allegations of bullying.
Raabs fate has been hanging in the balance for the 24 hours prime minister Rishi Sunak has been reading the report. But rather than sacking his close ally, Sunak waited for Raab to resign instead.
And Raabs resignation letter appears to underline so much of what Raabs critics had alleged about his bullying behaviour.
Raab said the two findings in the inquiry which went against him were flawed and set a dangerous precedent for the conduct of good government.
Not only that, in setting the threshold for bullying so low, this inquiry has set a dangerous precedent.

What happened when we tried to get a book with misinformation about our field retracted "IndyWatch Feed Health"
For much of the past year, we and several colleagues in our field have been trying to convince a publisher to retract a book.
Advocates are using the text because it contains details on how to advance numerous laws in the United States and throughout the world. The text is also currently being used to influence judicial decisions that affect the lives of thousands of families.
The problem is, the work contains a massive amount of misinformation, misquoted sources, plagiarized text, and many other flaws.
We have been so disappointed with the failure of the publisher and the Committee on Publishing Ethics (COPE) to address our concerns and our request for retraction that we have decided to share our experience with the scientific community.
On December 3, 2021, Routledge, part of the Taylor & Francis Group, published Challenging Parental Alienation: New Directions for Professionals and Parents, which was edited by Jean Mercer and Margaret Drew. All of the chapter authors in the book have been staunch critics of parental alienation (PA) research and theory, the study of children who, as one of us (JJH) has written, are influenced by a parental figure to reject their other parent for reasons that are exaggerated or not legitimate during and after a divorce. The field has a strong scientific basis. Our group, co...

Should You Help A Person Even After They Rudely Rejected A Previous Attempt? "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
If ever there was a good example of no good deed goes unpunished its this one, where a man tries his best to be neighborly and gets absolutely reamed for it in public, no less.
OP lives in a cold climate, and since he works a second shift, he always puts his wifes windshield wipers up on the car in the winter so that theyre not frozen in the morning.
I (59M) live in a major city in Ontario, Canada. I live in a small subdivision and have 5 neighbors total on my street.
For the past few years during the winter when were getting a lot of snow or a bad storms, as Im leaving for my overnight shift at around 8-9pm Ill put my wifes windshield wipers up on her car and do a quick walk around to my other 5 neighbors and put their windshield wipers up on their cars (obviously not if theyre outside or something, but if it looks like theyre in for the night).
At some point he started doing the same for his neighbors if he knows theyre in for the night, and they will return the favor if he forgets.
Many of them forget to do this, as many of them have children and it typically slips their mind, and their wipers will be frozen to their car in the morning.
Its just something nice I like to do to look out for my neighbors. Theyre all always grateful of this and thank me for it. Many of them started doing it too and there will be nights where Ill forget to put mind and my wifes up, and in the morning one of the neighbors has done it for us.
When a family with young children moved in, OP hadnt hadnt had a chance to do more than introduce himself when the first bad weather was to blow in. He wondered whether or not to do their wipers but decided to go for it.
Anyway re...

Why the Ancient Romans Had Better Teeth Than Modern Europeans "IndyWatch Feed Arts"
The cases for traveling back in time and living in a past era are many and varied, but the case against doing so is always the same: dentistry. In every chapter of human history before this one, so were often told, everyone lived in at least a low-level state of agony inflicted by tooth problems, to say nothing of the unimaginable unsightliness of their smiles. But as justified as we probably are in laughing at the pearly whites on display in Hollywood period pieces, the historical record conflicts with our belief that the further you go into the past, the worst everyones teeth: ancient Romans, as explained in the Told In Stone video above, actually had better teeth than modern Europeans.
Thats hardly a high bar to clear, a modern American may joke. But then, the United States today takes dental care to an almost obsessive level, whereas the citizens of the Roman Empire had practically nothing to work with by comparison. The standard, and often sole implement employed to clean teeth was a toothpick, says Told in Stone creator Garrett Ryan. These were paired with tooth powders, which were rubbed over the teeth and gums with an enthusiastic finger. Ingredients included pumice, pulverized bone, powdered glass, and crushed shell, or sometimes sheeps sweat and the ash of a wolfs head. all a far cry from anything offered on the toothpaste aisle today.

Shiba Inu Gets Stuck In Price Range Will SHIB Break Free? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
Shiba Inu (SHIB), the beloved meme-inspired cryptocurrency, is feeling the heat as the entire crypto market bleeds red on April 21. But unlike some of its peers, Shiba Inu seems to be stuck in a price range, leaving investors wondering if its the calm before the storm or the new normal.
When a cryptocurrency, or any asset, is stuck in a price range, it means that it has been trading within a specific range of prices for an extended period of time, with little upward or downward movement.
As the digital asset struggles to break free from its current slump, the question on everyones mind is: will Shiba Inus bark ever match its bite?
Shiba Inus dedication to growth and innovation is on full display with the recent public release of Shibarium betas documentation and continued project developments.
However, while the platform is making strides forward, SHIBs price remains stagnant, as the market remains hesitant and uncertain. Despite Shiba Inus best efforts to expand their ecosystem and improve its capabilities, its fortunes have taken a recent hit, with the cryptocurrency experiencing a 2.30% drop in just 24 hours and a 6.84% slump over the past week, as reported by CoinMarketCap.
As the price of Shiba Inu takes a much-needed breather, the total number of SHIB tokens being burned has seen mild but consistent growth. Within the last 24 hours alone, over 5.2 million SHIB tokens were burned, indicating that the community is taking steps to regulate the tokens supply.
Shiba Inus impressive performance hasnt gone unnoticed either, as the cryptocurrency has been on a rampage for the better part of the week.
The meme coins network activity reached a new high at the end of March, with nearly 36,000 SHIB addresses transacting on the network.

Bitcoin And Crypto Drop In Danger Zone, Whats Next? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"
Bitcoin and the broader crypto market have taken harsh losses over the past two days. After the BTC price was still trading above the psychologically important $30,000 price mark on Tuesday, a sharp downward correction followed on Wednesday, dragging the entire crypto market down with it.
And an even deeper correction cannot be ruled out. At press time, the BTC price dropped below $27,900, ETH traded slightly above $1,900.
A big reason for the sell-off in the crypto market in recent days was the funding rates on leveraged long bets. A large number of traders had recently opened bullish bets on a sustained rise in Bitcoin and Ethereum, an easy play for market makers to liquidate these positions through major sell-offs.
According to Coinglass, liquidations of leveraged positions exceeded $262.5 million across the crypto market yesterday (Thursday). This is the highest level so far this year and shows that the greed in the market was too high.
According to @coinglass_com data, yesterday saw the largest long liquidation event this year. pic.twitter.com/hzgx4fDeVJ
tedtalksmacro (@tedtalksmacro) April 20, 2023
Every dip was bought by traders with leverage in anticipation of a bounce to the range high. This unhealthy market behavior needs to be flushed out of the market to create a sustainable price rise (as before) through spot buying.
Technical analyst and founder of Eight Global, Michal van de Poppe, believes Bitcoin is not out of the danger zone yet because the price is currently exhibiting weakness:
Bitcoin is currently showing weakness. Broke back in the range, lost one of the crucial levels. Final crucial level is at $27,600. Could take liquidity below, but needs a fast recovery. If not, and no break of $28,800, then I suspect well see $26,200.
From an on-chain perspective, the price level at $28,300 might be crucial as Bitcoins Realized Price UTXO Age Bands (1 week to 1 month) is located here. As analyst Crazzyblockk writes via CryptoQuant, the level can be considered as a psychological level for people looking for short-term gains.
The reaction to this area could be instrumental in judging the strength or even weakness of the bulls. If Bitcoin receives a reaction from the short-term at these levels, it will be a sign of renewed interest in holding and entry by these people, and if this level breaks, these players will continue to sell, the analyst predicts.
